She will take the time to make sure you are heard, and she is never pushy with treatments. What's the first name?". She went on to tell me how I couldn't ask to get an A1c because they're only ordered once a patient is a diabetic even though the last glucose was above normal (btw, according to the latest 2021 ADA guideline and the previous years, FPG 100-125 is one of the criteria for prediabetes), and he is above 45. She said to just eat better, watch the carbs and it should be fine. I don't appreciate how she was giving medical advice when she's not a healthcare provider. We gave her the respect when she spoke, however, when it was my turn to talk, she constantly interrupted me with her loud, crude tone. There's only so much unprofessionalism I can take before I responded- and yes, I reciprocated. From what I heard, the doctor is great and caring, but the staff could use some sensitivity training and allow patients and caregivers to talk instead of treating us like sub-humans.

Dr Chen is very warm, understanding, and skilled. On the other hand, the office is generally very slow with an extra 30 min to an hour or more wait on top of your scheduled time. Staff is also a hit or miss on being friendly or cold.
