Vinenzo's is a Small Italian restaurant across the street from Whiskey Row action that has a limited menu. What they lack in variety they certainly make up for in quality and service. My wife and I had a stroller with our little guy in it and they still managed to make room in their tiny restaurant for us to fit. Had the Salmon special which was an amazingly well cooked piece of salmon. My wife enjoyed her pasta too. They make their cheesecake in-house and it's one of their specialties. Vincenzo's is a relatively new Italian restaurant that wasn't around during my last visit a couple of years ago. It's located on West Gurley very close to the courthouse square with unmetered street parking all around the area. During the day it is a sandwich shop under a different name and in the evenings becomes this Italian restaurant. I had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and was skeptical after reading the Yelp reviews with several 5 star reviews given by reviewers who have given 1 review or just a few reviews overall. I have seen that happen before. Inside it is a table service eatery offering booths and tables with charming Frank and Dean type of music playing in the background. From the limited menu I chose their signature spaghetti entree for $22. First to arrive was a complimentary bread basket that had warm Italian bread with some pesto and garlic herb butter that was delicious. Then the Chef Italian Dressed Salad appeared as part of the meal. It had very fresh greens along with some cheese on top and I enjoyed it. Then the entree was delivered. It was a nice sized plate of 'ghetti with a red meat sauce on top with meatballs and sausage. I had the waiter add some Parmesan on top and then it was off to the races! This meal was delicious. I really liked the marinara and meatballs and the sausage was pretty good too and I usually don't like sausage. At the end I was full, happy and satisfied. I would definitely order this again. Also the table service was friendly and warm too. There are some very good Italian restaurants in Prescott and Vincenzo's Cucina is one of them. I look forward to returning. read more

This place shares 2 businesses, Russos cheesecakes during the day then Vincenzo's Cucina at night. Vincenzo's is a smaller restaurant that serves home style Italian cooking with large portions. They start you of with a lofe of bread and their delicious basil olive oil bread dip and a delicious house salad. I ordered the tortellini that came with their homemade pesto, meatball and Italian sausage with spinach ravioli covered with their homemade pasta sauce. Overall the food here is very good and you can tell it's made from scratch, I did feel that the pesto sauce was heavy handed on the salt and the meatball was overworked " dense, not fluffy" and the tortellini were a little to much on the al dente side. Now normally I would give a restaurant 3 stars or less for this but the quality of cooking is there and so for the most part are the flavors, the Italian sausage was absolutely amazing and so was the pasta sauce. The service was also a very, very solid 5 stars, our waitress was just amazing! Imo Vincenzo's is solidly in the 4 stars range, with a couple little tweaks they will easily be an amazing restaurant. read more

As Chef Vincenzo (Vinny) himself says, "Prescott is like stepping into a Hallmark movie." And I told him, "Stepping into Vincenzo's is like being in a NYC neighborhood restaurant." Chef Vinny came for a visit a year ago and never left. He fell in love with the town and decided to bring some NYC Little Italy to downtown. He has a limited menu of delicious Italian dishes. My Love had the Vinny Special which had a sampling of tortellini, ravioli, a meatball, and an Italian sausage. I chose the lasagna. They serve a crisp, cold salad and Italian bread to start. And we picked the Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake to split for dessert. It is a small space that can get crowded, which adds to the NYC vibe. The Italian Mobster Music playlist adds to it too. He and his cousin share the space--so it is a deli by day and Italian restaurant by night. Definitely worth trying. Very old school New York Italian restaurant vibe. With the checkered tablecloths and the background music playing i swore i had happened onto the set of the Godfather. The owner(I assume) , a muscular Italian from New York, wandered up and filled our wine glasses free of charge. I loved the place, and its not expensive at all. The menu is pretty limited in size but the food was great. Definitely a place to visit again! read more

We were welcomed by Vincenzo shortly after being seated, with complimentary wine in hand and fun conversation. We loved his story & hearing about his homemade food. The dishes were really great, especially compared to another Italian papa restaurant down the street that had great reviews, but we experienced only terrible food. Vincenzo's food is definitely New York Italian-American cuisine, but great flavors and the most authentic Italian option I have seen in Prescott. It's a very small restaurant with maybe 10-12 tables, so make sure to plan accordingly. read more

What a gem of a place! Hubby and I got the pizza and house spaghetti. The spaghetti was incredible! The sauce, the sausage and the meatball, all fantastic together! Portion sizes were big. The house salad was so good and the bread was while the herb butter on the side was heavenly! We were given a glass each of the Toscana wine, we didn't know this was a bring your own beer or wine restaurant. On the menu was a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks though. This is the BEST Italian restaurant in Prescott. Being from NY, this place reminded me of the restaurants in Little Italy in NYC. The food was fabulous. The chicken parmesan melts in your mouth and everyone I was dining with loved their meal. Italian meals are only in the evening, 5-9pm. During the day it's a cheesecake/sandwich/coffee shop. And the cheesecake is awesome. Vinnie is a great host and made sure everyone was happy with their meal. They don't have a liquor license yet, so bring your favorite wine. I had called the night before to make a reservation for Friday night for our party of 5 and our table was waiting for us at 6pm (as promised). The food was to DIE FOR! From the fresh bread served with homemade pesto and garlic butter to the dishes we ordered, we couldn't have loved it any more than we did! All I can say is wow! We had the meatball sub, the spaghetti with meatballs, the ravioli, the lasagne and we got a cannoli to go and a NY cherry cheesecake! The homemade italian sausage made in-house was our favorite! This is a little jewel in downtown Prescott. It's very small, so reservations are recommended. The owner tries to make you feel as though you are there to have dinner with his family! The menu is small, but the owner told us if we wanted something that isn't on the menu to let him know when we make a reservation and he will make it and serve it as an entree that evening. They serve Italian bread with pesto sauce and garlic butter! Both are delicious! They also serve a house salad which is crisp and cold and delicious. There are about 5 choices of entrees. And I was so looking forward to some home cooked New York Italian fare because I'm from them there parts. But to be clear, Vinnie is from upstate, not the City. (Just so you know.) Started off with complimentary Italian bread which was old school and not in a good way...white and flavorless. Next up, green salads served with old school dressing in a good way! The oil, vinegar, and oregano variety. Ordered the spaghetti which came with one meatball and one sausage. The meatball was dry and not the juicy beef/veal/pork combo kind that's awesome. Sausage was ok...mild but no grizzle so that was good. Spaghetti sauce was just ok. Ordered a cannoli for desert. The ricotta was neither rich nor creamy and lacked flavor. The cannoli shell itself. Meh. Definitely skip. On the plus side, we were able to bring our own wine and Vinnie came around with a bottle with complimentary sips. And the staff was attentive and gracious (as was he). The service was horrible. They were so disorganized. It took way too long to get my friends order. They asked several times what did she order.the food was bland like out of a box. The most simple cheap basic salad with regular lettuce. No veggies. No appetizers. I make lasagna that is so much better than this restaurant. I had high expectations after reading about the owner and was very disappointed. Food ambiance and service were horrible. I would never go back. They need someone to come in and teach them how to operate a restaurant. I heard the server say she asked the owner how are we going to handle this large party and he said I don't know we will figure it out.
