Not having a "go-to" barber makes it tough to try someone new and this choice was made even tougher that there were no reviews online. After thinking about it a bit more I decided to give it a shot since I had driven by this place hundreds of times over the years and I was looking so scrappy I didn't even want to look at myself in the mirror any more. That all being said, I was very happy with the hair cut I received. It came out looking really good and Eric was super friendly which made my time sitting in the chair enjoyable with good conversation. The way Eric cut my hair is a little different than I am used to because he spent a lot of time with the clippers vs the buzzer which was nice. I've noticed that some other barbers struggled with scissors and relied solely on the buzzer. I think this helped the longer parts of my hair come out nicely. One thing I would have liked was to get cleaned up around my neck with a straight razor which I don't know if he does, but for a 13 dollar haircut it really can't be beat. I expect that service when I am paying 20+ but when it's 13 dollars I really can't complain. For the price point, convenient location on main street and how my hair came out well, I will definitely be back next time I am in the area and encourage trying him out.

About 4 months ago I tried to get in with my regular barber. He wasn't on that day and one of the guys at the shop gave me his (i assume) his personal number to contact him. I got no response (but didn't bother me as I probably wouldn't have answered a work call on my day off). I then call the shop again two days later (when I know my barbers is working) only to have them play a game of pass the phone, while I was told they were busy and had no openings. I couldn't even get info about their next available day. Usually when I call I ask for my barber and it's him i usually speak directly to. this time that wasn't the case. I'm not sure what the issue was as I have never had an issue or caused a problem. I always tipped my guy 33% gratuity (even after the price increase during the pandemic). Not sure what caused a breakdown but I know i haven't done anything to anyone to deserve the childish manner in which they handled a haircut appt.

I can't fathom in who's business plan that kind of garbage is considered ok. Add in that many parents bring their kids there, and while I was there there was my 15 year old son, a 14 year old young man, another parent and a HS teacher there, then they started talking about raunchy comedians amongst themselves, and I just don't understand why the management or the barber's present would ever have that on in their place of business. This was our last haircut there. I will spend my $ at places that are less dude hangout, and more family friendly.

I've been there 3 times now, and it all depends on who you'll get…read more My first time was an awesome experience, as I had a talented African American student who seemed passionate about his craft and provided an excellent haircut for $5 and with a beard trim and tip my total was $10. What a good deal! My second time was with a tall white gentleman with a purple mohawk, who while providing an excellent service and a great haircut, was not a student barber. This meant that I needed to pay full price which was around $20 to $25 for a haircut and beard trim, and with a tip, it came out to $30. Pricey! My 3rd and most recent time was a haircut performed by a barber who was somewhere between a fresh student and a experienced professional. He was a young Latino fellow who at the time seemed to be in a hurry to eat lunch. Unfortunately, this meant that it was easier to make mistakes and I ended up bleeding profusely in several areas when the barber used his single blade razor to shave my neck and upper cheeks. Fortunately, he was a nice guy. He apologized and refused to accept payment (i.e. I got a free "haircut"), and even offered me a free towel. In terms of ambiance, this place has a constant flow of customers coming in, and it has an interesting set of articles and pictures on the walls along with a TV playing music to keep you entertained while you wait. Ultimately, the good and the bad all kind of even out, and this place receives an average score of 3/5 in my opinion.

It was a flawless experience from booking the appt to meeting with Robb. He was so good with our son. Started by giving him a fireman's cape, then had us sit him in this cool fire truck. Before the appt, we received a text with very helpful info so we felt prepared. Robb was extremely patient and a true a professional. The haircut is so much better than we even expected. At the end, he gave us a lock of our sons hair in a bag as well as a certificate for his 1st haircut. I can tell you after this experience we have no reason to ever look elsewhere when it's time for a son's next haircut.
