Called at the start of October to get an inspection done, but they were booked until the 28th so you better be sure to call in advance! All I wanted was an inspection, oil change, and a repair to my door. Some work needed to be done but it was affordable in my eyes. I was given options for replacing my tires with different values and tread grades. When I got the bill they never charged me for the door! Highly recommend seeing these guys! I went for a state inspection... Where four light bulbs costing 3 bucks each and over $40 bucks of labor and a crack spring (the end of the spring was cracked off) costing over `a boat load of money' because you have to do the strut and the spring on another side as well. Parts markup was multiples of rockauto.com. Final solution, I fixed the rear suspension myself spending $120 on parts and 3 hrs time, instead of paying $650. They were friendly and helpful just not price competitive. read more

Recently, my poor, abused 1997 Dodge Stratus failed to start. We tried a few things to fix it but couldn't figure it out. So I started calling around to local garages to see who might be able to help. I spoke with Brian at Vince's, and out of everyone I spoke to he was the most friendly, helpful, and said they could definitely diagnose and fix the problem. He took my name and phone number, and I called AAA to have the car towed there. Brian called me as soon as they opened the next morning to let me know the car was there. He kept me updated on the process and provided me with a quote before they started work. They had everything done within a day and a half of when the car arrived. It needed extensive work, and considering all that was done, the total cost was entirely reasonable. (My dad and sister are mechanics as well and they were impressed at the total cost.) In no way did they try to add extra costs for things that didn't really need to be done. They were also able to accommodate me picking up the car after their business hours, so I didn't even have to take time off from work. I was extremely impressed by the level of service I and my car received -- and trust me, this car has taken a beating, as I got it from someone who didn't take care of it at all. The car now starts beautifully and runs much better than it did previously (new spark plugs, ignition wires, engine tuneup, etc. etc.). If you are in the North Hills, I highly recommend contacting Vince's next time you need any auto work done. I know I will be taking my car there for everything now, even oil changes. read more

I was referred to Vince's Auto and I will probably never take my car anywhere else. This is a no frills auto shop, there isn't even anywhere to sit and wait for the work to be done. I don't care about that though. The work they do is great, the prices they charge are more than fair. They have never charged me more than the estimated cost, never had my car longer than they said they would, and even told me that some of the work I requested wasn't necessary instead of just doing it and charging me. It can be hard to find an auto shop that you can trust, but this definitely is one of them. read more

I have never given any business a 5-star rating, however, Vince's Auto Service deserves every bit of 5 stars!! I am a single mother & I have an older car that has broke the bank with so many issues over the years. During this time & bc the car is an absolute text-book "lemon", it has been in & out of many shops & I got ripped off & taken advantage of along the way (esp. by places like Monroe Muff.) & I was losing hope that I would ever find an honest place! While I searched for a reasonable auto body, a tow truck driver gave me a business card for Vince's & a great personal review with it & the rest is history!! They are reasonable & they work with the customer & make taking your car for maintenance ect..not seem like such a huge ordeal..they work with my schedule & my budget.
