Daytime is ideal for obvious reasons, but I think the mid-afternoon point is a good time where the light isn't too harsh and the transition to sun down makes for a cool effect. The sign is more than just the words, "We Love Houston" on it. With the right angle, the city's skyline is perfectly lined up with the letters and this is why it becomes the most ideal photo-op. EaDo is already the destination for graffiti art touring, this is really the ultimate bonus. The landmark is located right next to 8th Wonder Brewery (#1) in the backyard. This is one of the best place to bike in the inner loop with the separated biking and pedestrian trails. Connects to the heights and all major neighborhoods. A lovely place to get a walk or bike ride in on the evenings or weekends! There are quite a few manicured grass spots for picnics or to bring a book, as well as shaded areas. I have always felt very safe at this park. A 'not so hidden' gem as parking can be a little tough, but leads to not very busy trails. I never realized how beautiful this park is compared to the days I would only drive by!

In a city that is known for tearing down and paving over so much of our history, it is wonderful that this was saved and has been made into a place that visitors can visit and experience. I went with some friends from Kingwood on a Photo Walk of the area, we were lucky that the light and sound experience was still going on, each column in the cistern has LED lighting that changes to the tune of some aethereal music playing silently, the acoustics of the cistern make it sound so beautiful and mesmerizing. When you purchase your ticket online you choose one of the available times, upon entry they give you 30 minutes, the time passed quickly. Be ready if you are taking pictures or better yet, a video. Smart phones work great but you might consider turning off auto focus and just focusing manually if you know how because when it gets dark for a moment and then the lights come on most cameras auto focus has to search for focus so it goes in and out of focus. When you leave, there is a skateboard park up above and worth some time for taking pictures of the acrobatic skating going on.

FYI, Texas mosquitoes are huge and hungry even into late November. We're from Alabama & are used to mosquitoes, but seriously, we have never been swarmed by so many mosquitoes all at once. They even bit us through our clothes. Who does that?! Overall, we loved this place & it was probably the highlight of our trip to the Houston Bay Area.

Everything was closed. 97'f certainly didn't help either. It is literally a small alley with colorful umbrellas and murals. Someone must have sprayed some graffiti as there were white paint covering the murals. Stayed for 3 minutes and left. Plenty of street parking. Walked over to the next block and there was a gallery scene painted on the exterior wall. I'd discourage to come all the way just for the alley but check it out if in the area.

Very romantic, very beautiful and intimate. A 60 minute show that you can even join along and sing. Program selection was Jill Scott, Maxwell, Sza and more. We were on the last row but when I say.... It wasn't a bad seat in the house. The view and angles for everything. The museum is open to all whom purchased tickets before and after the concert. Drinks and refreshments are served as well. They advise you to wait for photographs and videos at the end. And if you are late by any chance... they do have you wait on the side to not interrupt the artist.

I was able to buy two succulents, two bracelets, a pair of earrings and order a custom Hawaiian shirt for my husband. We enjoyed walking through after having breakfast and supporting local businesses.
