Always fun hunting for treasures at Jake's. Never disappointed and always find something interesting to purchase

Jake's has really gone down hill. Nothing but people selling junk and hundreds of salivating junkers looking to buy it. I remember when you could find actual antiques and collectibles there, but that was decades ago. Now, if you find a true collectible, expect to pay for it. Gone are the days of finding something good for a few bucks. Their Goody's food truck is long gone and has been replaced by someone selling tacos. I do not know anyone who wants to eat tacos at 8 in the morning. I miss Goody's- they had the best hand-cut french fries, burgers, hot dogs, even breakfast sandwiches...and don't forget the piping hot coffee. It was great to sit at one of their tables after shopping and just take a break. Their other food vendor at the front of the market is still there, but their prices are outrageously high and the employees are less than friendly. If you're in the area, do stop in, but if you have to travel, it's really not worth it. Nor is it worth it if you're looking for antiques/collectibles. read more

We actually stumbled upon this place by accident, and since we had time to kill, we popped in. Typical flea market fare - some tables reeked of desperation and sadness, others were happy and friendly and chatty (thumbs up to the adorable little girl manning a fruit and vegetable table and somehow managed to convince my friends to spend about $40 on watermelons and blueberries!). I really should've walked back and gotten that $3 painting of a dead rabbit on a table. Kudos to the guy who re-sells QVC overstock. He was a hoot. read more

Jake's once was the place to go. The items I've found at this place over the years have been amazing. Sadly, the market is all dreid up now. Nothing there but junk. Many of the items offered for sale deserve to be in the garbage. A lot of weekly vendors who have been setting up at Jake's for decades are no longer there. I've heard the people who are now in charge are not well liked, so that may be the reason. There are too many other flea markets in PA. that have true antiques, so I just stick with them. I did check out Jake's, Memorial day Monday and found absolutely nothing. And, the large food truck (Goody's) has called it quits. I used to love going there after walkign around. I'd get a cup of coffee and soemthing to snack on, while watching all the people go by. It's really sad what Jake's has become. read more

Stopped here on Easter morning on our way home from the Poconos. It's long been on my list of flea markets to hit up. Tried coming once before but it rained and we took a detour. Not only was I impressed that they were open on a holiday but at the number of vendors. I'm sure there's more on a regular Sat/Sun but there were enough present on Easter to kill an hour or two. While the majority of the vendors are outside (in a field or on asphalt) several had shops set up in sheds. Port a potties were scattered about, more were located closer to the customer parking then up in the field but there was also a brick and mortar bathroom with a (working for) tip attendant. On the day of our visit there were two food vendors selling concession stand food. A sitting area consisting of antique concrete tables and chairs was situated between the shed shops. Due to heavy rain the day before some areas were muddy and I wished I would have worn my muck boots. There was a good bit of variety in the products for sale. Everything from new items in boxes from Chinatown, to produce vendors, extreme couponers, true antiques, new jewelry and purses, and my favorite the yard sale vendors. Rarely do I ever score kids clothing for my grand kids at flea markets but I found some good deals here. The vendors were all friendly and ready to haggle. One thing I didn't see alot of was furniture other than small pieces, or the ever present party vendors (Tupperwear, ThirtyOne, LulaRoo, etc) A plus in my opinion! Will definitely add this flea market to our rotation. Can't wait to check them out in the summer! read more

I have been stopping by Jake's for years. Your best bet is to get there early on a day with decent weather. Although they are open rain or shine, most dealers don't last long in bad weather. This is very much a flea market. You will find people with collectibles, dumpster divers, people cleaning out estates, some antiques and lots of junk. There are some dealers with plants and one with produce. The dealers in the pavilions are pretty much the same week after week, as are the dealers in the little sheds. The rows of tables vary from week to week. There is a spot to get fried food and a public restroom. There is lots of parking. No pets are allowed. If you are looking to sell stuff, tables are a daily rate if $10. The market runs from April through Christmas. read more

Been here three times. Grubby. Not much of interest. By and large has a "picked over" feeling. Any flea market is going to have its share of sellers spreading everything they could find of any value on a blanket and I feel for them. That seems to be the majority here. There are other places close by that I don't feel so depressed after visiting. Meh.... I'll be back- I just won't get excited about it. read more

Located in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere. Worth it? Can you curse on here? Fuck, yes. It's worth the drive. People get here in the dark of morning, flashlights in hand, rooting through boxes that have barely left the seller's hand. Rows and rows of tables. Massive. Everything imaginable. 1965 light up Schlitz beer signs, books, records, metal eagles to hang on the wall, billy clubs, cheap old furniture, lawn mowers, clothing, clean bathrooms and hot food. And if you want to sell, the spots are first come first serve, big enough to park your car and display what you got. All for around $8. read more

I'm definitely a big Jake's Flea Market fan. Friendly people, easy to find location. I go every weekend to this out door market with a 2-wheel shopping cart. Love the great deals on odd stuff, fresh produce, and my favorites - rocks/minerals/crystals. Huge variety, especially on Sundays when its not raining. You could easily spend 2 hoursor more looking at all the cool stuff. Super food from 2 vendors, indoor bathrooms. Bring the kids and a few bucks, you'll almost always come away with something fun. You'll find everthing from kids stuff, clothes, furniture, automotive/garage/yard stuff as well as antiques and collectibles, handcrafted jewelry and other items and soooo much more. Extra Tips: Don't wear sandals/flip flops as the gravel can get annoying if you do. There are some super bargains on rainy days, as there are 2 covered pavilions with 52 tables each. Never be afraid to ask: "Is that the best price you can do?" Got something to sell? The $10 cost for regular tables and field spots seems a great investment compared to trying to organize a yard sale on your own. read more

Went to Jake's for the first time today, and it won't be my last. Nice large flea market with all kinds of things from live plants, antiques, parts and pieces, to old junk and new junk. Fun to walk around and see what kind of treasures you might just find. read more

Definitely a good flea market. Its a decent size, a little on the small size I guess depending on the day and time of year. The vendors/dealers always have reasonable prices. It's very clean and set up very nice. I go here about 5 times a year, every time I go to perkiomenville market I will swing by Jakes. No new stuff (thank god) only older items... antiques, collectibles, music related items,video games, electronics (typical flea market stuff). Always seem to come home with something cool or don't have. Fun for the whole family. read more

We went on a Saturday, we got there late , around 1245. We didn't know it closed at 1. The place was deserted, just a handful of vendors with what looked like junk, didn't even get out of our car. We drove from Lancaster. It was a huge disappointment. Maybe we just missed everything because we came close to closing time. Expected more after reading the reviews, definitely won't drive over an hour again read more

First time visiting and I wasn't disappointed! We got there on a Sunday around 9am, and there was plenty of parking (apparently it was much busier earlier on). Good variety of stuff - jewelry, household goods, tools, golf clubs, musical instruments... I've inherited my mother's (borderline pathologic) appreciation of fine china and dishes in general, so I was happy to find a Haviland Limoges dish in pristine condition for $3 and some other little plates for $.25 each. Also nabbed a $5 chair and veggies for the week (fresh and cheap). It was pretty hot today so we didn't spend as much time there as we could have. Will be back! Also, there are a bunch of nurseries along Rt 100 on the drive back to Allentown - great opportunity to check them out if Jake's didn't have the plants you were after. read more

Lots of "STUFF"! It's a hit or miss but you won't go home empty handed. They have everything from tools to toys, furniture to fruits and veggies and flowers and shrubs. You'll find some treasure that you didn't know you could live without. Food is typical flea market, but edible. Bring your sunscreen and wear comfy shoes. Every week it's something new. read more

Love this place. I'm there every Saturday and Sunday. Always find great treasures at great prices. I would come here years ago when I lived in Philly and it was great, now I live ten minutes away and it's gotten better over the years. There's a clean restroom as well as port-a-johns sprinkled about. Fresh made food stands offer plenty to eat. There's also an ATM! They always seem to be improving the place. Don't forget to stop into the little shops in the front, they seem to be overlooked for some reason. read more

This is a place to find pretty much anything ,Old , Used , sometime even New . Walk around and look , then walk around again and you will see and find stuff you didn't see the first time . walk around again and you'll even buy something you thought you could find . its a great way to get in a walk and look at things that may take you back in time when times were simpler .The people you meet are selling ,antiques , old toys , machinery , lawn equipment , Some are even selling there house hold goods because times are ( TUFF ) . I think I hit this place on a bad day. Not great on the antique and unique, pretty heavy on standard yard sale junk. Prices are good on tools and household items. This is the place VHS tapes has gone to fade away, more than I've seen in years. I know flea markets are hit or miss, so maybe I just hit a miss Sunday, would give another chance another time. FIVE STARS for people watching tho, pretty interesting characters seem to come out of the woodwork for this flea market. read more

Can definitely find good stuff here especially if you sell in Ebay. Beware of the druggies selling $1.0 items for crack etc. selling all their possessions away. read more

I always find something here. They really have everything you can think of. Lots of new stuff. Me and my family go at least 2 times a month.

This is a great place to stop to find anything you want. Sunday is my favorite day to go.

I keep trying but the only thing I ever find here is a pain in the ass. You can't bring your dog, there is really junk here, and one time someone brings me stuff, I get yelled at for driving my car to the stand to load a big bunch of stuff. I don't know when I'll be back, but I don't think it will be soon. read more

It was a nice Sunday morning event which I plan to repeat. Jake's made an hour ride worthwhile. With so many vendors, the variety is much better than my local flea markets. The place is clean and safe, has an incredible amount of merchandise, and an upbeat atmosphere. read more

Today being 4th of July, my folks and I decided to go on a wee bit of an adventure, finding out that Jakes was opened, we decided to head out, I've been wanting to make it out there (it's a 2 hour drive for me!) for the past two years and finally made it! All I can say is OMG!! I can't wait to return!! Being city born and bred, it was awesome being out in the country, a very hot day but awesome, although it is a holiday, there were plenty of vendors there and I couldn't believe the prices, extremely affordable and nice quality antiques and collectibles..I am a Boyds Bears Collector and bought 5 bears (and resisted buying quite a few more) and don't think I spent $10...one bear had a $45 original price tag on it....one vendor told us the place has been known to have at least 500 vendors at one time, heck, I'll get up at the crack of dawn and get down there no problem!! We LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! Need I say more!! If you are a fan of old fashioned flea markets (where the older collectibe stuff, greatly outnumbers new merchandise) this place is for you, not to mention the fresh cheap produce!! read more

I loved this flea market. Lots of vendors & things to see. Some folks that you can tell flea-market-sell for a living and some just there to clean out the basement. Parking is CRAZY so either be prepared to get there early (I was there at 8 and the market opened at 7 and it was already pretty full). If I were to go there again or on a regular basis, I would try to be there right at 7. By the time I left around 9:30, there were lines of traffic on either side of the highway and making a left turn out of the parking lot was nuts. Otherwise a very nice experience. Would like to see more fruit/veggie vendors next time too! read more

What a blast! We have benn both buyers and sellers and had the time of our lives. There is so much STUFF you can't believe it. We get there at 8:00 am to shop and can never make it to the end before they start closing up. We have set up at 4:30am when we couldn't see a thing and had fun selling and talking with people coming there to shop. It's a great place to start selling if you're new to this. Bring some friends along to sell with you and it's like a great party where you make money. The produce and snack vendors have the best food and you won't believe how cheap the prices are. I won;t buy any veggies and fruits at the store when Jakes is open for the season. And last but not least, the food vendors have the best food. One lady has homemade soups and chili that are the best, not to mention her pulled pork barbecue, chili cheese fries and sausage sandwiches. Nuff said, Get up, get in your car and go to Jakes....they open on April 2, 2011.....see you there! read more
