This historic establishment, open since 1912. Impressive decor and immaculately clean facility. We arrived at the restaurant and the was warmly greeted by our host who was very friendly and pleasant. He showed us to a table which was small & setting the tone for a truly enjoyable evening. We began our culinary adventure with two classic Bellinis and a simple yet satisfying offering of breadsticks with butter. For appetizers, we ordered a diverse selection from the menu, a mixed fried fish with fried vegetables platter, & heart of artichoke with mozzarella and truffles, and a refreshing spider crab salad. Our wine journey commenced with a bottle of Amarone Valpantena, a perfect companion to our starters. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the two plates of their seafood risotto. It was amazing and instantly became our instant favorite, a dish we'll long remember. At the host's excellent recommendation, we also savored a half bottle of Amarone Classico, which perfectly complemented the rich flavors of the risotto. We wrapped our evening with Our host recommended shots of limoncello and a few delightful house-made meringues. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our visit and left feeling super satisfied. Ristorante A La Vecia Cavana has undoubtedly become my forever favorite from my entire Italy trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Venice.

Or the fact that they have horseback riding and rides through the vineyard. The pizza and wine pairing is delicious and they have some of the most amazing cheese that I've ever tasted. We buy it each time we go and bring some home to share with friends. They ALWAYS ask us where we got the cheese and we let them know. It is truly a great place to take guests and just to enjoy wine in the vines. :)

We were a bit confused that some of the signs for Pignole say Suastene, but we found out that they had recently been sold. Despite catching them in transition, the winery open its doors early for us. The tasting included 10 wines plus snacks for 25 euro. Our server Francisco was warm and knowledgeable, treating us to a tour of the cellars. Before we knew it, we had spent 3 hours there!

The location is set amongst the hills with breathtaking views and vineyards below. The price is unbeatable and they have a great supply of wines to purchase along with some amazing cheeses. We opted for the 8 wine tasting experience, which featured a variety of whites, reds, and sheets. Everything we tried was fantastic and some of the best wines I've had! Everyone in my group like them all! They're award winning Sauvignon was definitely a crowd pleaser and tasted just right. Service was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We enjoyed our tour guide and hearing all his explanations, stories, and recommendations of local places to try. Definitely recommend.

This was the first winery I visited in this region of Italy. What made me choose this as my first…read morewinery was that they are branded as a family vineyard. Another reason is that they make both red and white wines, whereas some other wineries in the region focuses on mainly white or focuses on Prosecco. The winery isn't large compared to the wineries I'm used to in California, but it was beautiful to see the vines nonetheless. The inside of the winery and tasting room was reminiscent of a warehouse or hangar, so that was quite different and unexpected. It didn't exude winery feels but the outside is nice. It turned out that you need a reservation to wine taste here, though that was not mentioned on their website. When I expressed that we're visiting, the lady that helped us made an exception to let us taste about 4 wines, which was quite was nice of her. The wines were nice, so we left with a few bottles as the prices are quite low compared to wineries back in California. This was a nice start to wine tasting in this region.

The family farm produces many different wines, though my wife and I were most impressed with the prosecco. The woman serving us didn't speak much English. This made things a little difficult, as our Italian is not good. But she was extremely nice and did not seem at all bothered when I butchered some Italian phrases. I thought the prices of their wines were very reasonable. It was a wonderful little stop. We left with a Prosecco brut, a vino spumante Moscato and vino bianco Fruilano.
