My goal is to have the store do the right thing…read more I've spent over $10,000 at Paine's Patio in Bourne, MA, over the past two years, so I expected the quality and customer service to reflect that investment. Unfortunately, the cushions are now coming apart at the seams due to what appears to be seam slippage or separation--not fabric failure. The manufacturer's explanation states that seam separation can result from an insufficient seam allowance. Industry standards require a minimum 1/2-inch seam allowance along cushion and pillow seams. If that allowance is missing, the seams can separate over time. Based on this information, the problem appears to be a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear or a failure of the fabric. I'm disappointed that furniture purchased at this price point is experiencing this issue so soon. I hope Paine's Patio will take responsibility, work with the manufacturer, and provide a fair resolution to customers who have made a significant investment in their products.

Of course a lot of the stuff is wood, like fences, cool light posts and mail box poles, huge and elaborate play sets for kids, nice sheds, gazebos and pavilions, tables, chairs and stools and my favorite, little wooden bridges. I've always wanted a bridge in my back yard, just wish I had a stream or river to put it over. Walpole also has some very cool and creative gates, arbors, cupolas and lattice thingies. If you actually make it inside the store you will see gigantic and very impressive looking bird houses. These aren't just little boxes nailed to a pole but a seemingly endless variety of shapes and sizes for everything from humming birds to pterodactyls. Lots of bird baths so the avians in the houses can stay clean and cool spheres, thermometers, wind chimes, garden critters and great looking weather vanes. Even high quality basketball hoops and backboards. All kinds of things that you probably never thought of but once you see will desperately desire. Some of the stuff you can take home in your pocket, other things you need a huge truck to move. I love going here just to look around, I seem to find new things every time. Sure, a lot of the stuff is basically useless and unnecessary and this isn't Wal-Mart, the prices aren't cheap. But if you are looking for a bird house that probably has more room than most people's homes, an baroque and ornate moon gate, a fat little Hotai Buddha, a lighthouse weathervane or a cool but totally useless and frivolous little bridge, this is the place.

The owners of this company have designed, manufacture and sell these comfy seats from their headquarters on the island. The chairs come in a couple of different sizes including a children's version. The frames are wood, the arms are nice and wide with one side having a handy drink holder. The head and leg rests are padded and the chair itself can be personalized. There is also a storage pouch for stuff! Ours are red but they come in a several other great colors. I love the logo outline of Nantucket. I think that buying a couple of these and personalizing them would make a great gift...wedding or housewarming for sure. I love that the owners live right on Nantucket and give back to the community too. This is business at its best. I love having another local, well-made product in my anti-made-in-China repertoire.
