A $3.50 Uber to an Incredible Massage…read more I was on a June sold out cruise. This is absolutely "not" a code word massage location. This is a legitimate rejuvenating experience. It was two women traveling but we are used to international travel. This was my 10+ plus cruise to Ensenada but my first massage exploration. There's so much to do here. Q: Is Ensenada Massage worth leaving the cruise port? Absolutely. If you have several hours in port, this was one of the best ways to spend them. I was able to enjoy a fantastic massage and still had enough time to get my nails done elsewhere before returning to the ship. Q: Should I book through the cruise line? No. Make your reservation directly with Ensenada Massage. The ship's "excursion" prices don't even compare. Save your money and invest in yourself. Q: What's the easiest way to get there? Take an Uber. It was only about $3.50 each way, and the driver picked us up and dropped us off right at the port entrance. You still have to walk to the ship another 5-7 minutes.Don't pay the extra transportation fee through the massage company or ship. It's not within walking distance from the cruise terminal, but Uber made it effortless. One extra tip: I walked about 7-10 minutes from the gangway to the Hotel Corona and requested my Uber from there. Wait time was under five minutes. Q: How was communication with Ensenada Massage? Excellent. They were very responsive on WhatsApp and answered every question quickly. Although they offered to reserve through WhatsApp, I felt more comfortable booking online with my credit card instead of using my debit card. Q: Can groups book together? Yes! I booked a couples massage even though we were just friends because it was easier to coordinate than making two separate appointments. They can even accommodate four people at the same time. Q: Which massages did you choose? I booked one deep tissue massage and one hot stone massage. They also offer several optional upgrades for around $10 each if you want to customize your experience. Q: How was the massage itself? High fives. Two snaps. Hip bump. Cha-ching. The therapists may be petite, but don't let that fool you. Their hand strength was incredible. From the warm greeting to the end of the session, the experience was professional, relaxing, and absolutely worth it. Q: What was the facility like? It was clean, safe, and well sanitized. No, it isn't a luxury spa with marble floors and stained-glass windows, but everything was comfortable, professional, and exactly what I wanted. I would happily return. Q: Is this safe for first-time visitors to Ensenada? Yes. If you've traveled internationally before, this will feel very easy to navigate. Even if it's your first visit to Mexico, I found the experience straightforward and felt comfortable throughout. Final tip: Skip the cruise ship spa. Make your reservation directly, call an Uber, relax, and head back to the ship feeling completely rejuvenated. *Bilingual English/Spanish If you try these tips, I'd love to hear how they worked for you! "Gratuity is good karma."

There were two mini vans waiting and my bf and I were able to sit in our own transportation vehicle. After a short ride, we waited for a bit and were led to the couple room next to the waiting room. The issue with this was that we can hear the customers waiting outside talking. We had to ask the masseuses to ask the customers to lower their voices. My masseuse was a female and she was so strong! I was almost to the point where it was intolerable but I powered through! She took out a lot of knots! Great massage for the price point and people were super friendly. The driver took us to a spot in Ensenada that we wanted to tour so I was glad that she was accommodating. I would definitely come back again!

Rancho La Puerta is a place and an experience you didn't know you need in your life. Once there,…read moreyou realize how vital this place is to your well-being. As of 2025, this was my 3rd retreat to RLP and it won't be my last. I plan on making this an annual trip. It's hard to put into words how great it feels to be here, and even harder to show how beautiful it is because the photos never do it justice. Pros: - The food. It's delicious and makes you feel good from the inside out. Dining happens in the dining hall which is this beautiful building where meals are treated as more than nourishment for your body, but for your soul as well. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style. You can sit outside with beautiful views of Mt. Kuchumaa or sit indoors. There are small tables and large tables to sit with new and old friends. Dinner is served table side. Each meal is crafted with care using a delicous, fresh variety of foods that include whatever is growing in their gardens (more on the gardens later). - The property. The entire property is rustic but cared for and loved. The grounds and gardens are meticulously maintained. - Mt Kuchumaa. My absolute favorite part of RLP are the morning (sunrise) hikes. Many different levels of hiking and no experience required. My favorite hike is Coyote and the Breakfast Hike. - No wifi or televisions. It's a great way to unwind. - The classes; fitness, art, speakers....there is so much to learn. - The rooms are rustic and clean. You have all the amenities you need. - Spend time relaxing at one of the amazing pools and spas. - Shuttle service from San Diego is great. They are also wonderful if you need to arrive or depart in an off-day. - I always felt safe and cared for Cons: (this list could be kinda short) - Sometimes it's confusing to navigate the property. Especially if it's your first time. Also, if you have mobility issues, you will want to keep that in mind as there is a lot of walking to do to get from place to place....BUT, with that said, I saw a lot of people with less mobility than myself getting around just fine. :) They may not be on sunrise hikes, but they were in all the classes, concerts and dinners. - Highway Noise. Unfortunately, you can hear the highway from the ranch, which is so strange because it feels like a different world...but yes, it's close to the major highway and you will hear semi truck air brakes quite often. Some casitas are closer than others. This is my must-do list: - Hiking Mt Kuchumaa. They have several options every morning. - Gourmet Breakfast Hike - Cooking class - Spa (getting a treatment or just spending a few hours relaxing in the women's only spa pool/hot tub) - Sound bath sessions - Instructor-led classes - so much variety! Pro-tip suggestions: - Don't go hungry...need more protein and avocados for breakfast or lunch? Just ask, they will bring it to you from the kitchen. - Don't go hungry....order a meal and a half at dinner or get half of each entree. - Don't over-schedule yourself, but DO make sure you look at everything that's offered all week. - This is not the Marriott or Ritz. It is a rustic, wonderful health resort that reflects the vibe they are going for. - Be open and relax. - Sign up right away for classes that fill up like the Organic Breakfast hike and things that cost more like the Cooking Class. - Review your folder and take a couple of hours to acquaint yourself with how things work, the classes and grounds.

Best spa and resort for a family vacation. Healthy food and excellent service. Price is worth it.read more
