However he stated if I could possibly give him a few minutes to reach the shop he will take me immediately since I am only getting an undercut done. He was patient with my request and not dismissive because I didn't have an appointment. The vibe is definitely simple and straight to the point which I like. No sheep in wolves clothing. I waited no longer than the time he asked me to wait and got my cut by a professional who made sure to clean his hands and equipment before event seeing me, with great customer service and to be honest the same amount of talent as the barbers at "the groomsmen of Long Island". There was a line but Johnny, who I believe is the owner was quick and friendly to his other patrons. I have a cranky 2 year old and a rambunctious 5 year old but he was able to give them quick, effective short cuts. Without even going into detail, he just asked them if I wanted it short and he went straight to work. $25/each for a kids cut for less than 30 minutes is not bad. Previous barbers are afraid to go very short which makes me need to go in every 2 weeks. He went exactly the amount I was looking for and we won't be back for another 3 weeks. Amigos is a big barber shop with 10 chairs; I've never had to wait to get my hair cut. Although i have never used it, they boast that they have wi-fi, again i've never used it, but that's because i've never had opportunity to because i've never had to wait for a barber. It's a fun atmosphere with spanish music playing in the background and guys shooting the breeze as they work. What most attracted me to the shop though is that all the barbers are excellent. I've never had a bad experience or a bad cut there. It's as though they assembled the best barbers around and stuck them all in one shop. The only thing i don't care much for is the price. A regular cut will run you $15. In comparison you don't have to look far to get a cut for $10 somewhere else and even $7 on a tuesday or wednesday at a nearby competitor. Still for the quality of cut I don't mind paying a little extra.
