I felt the need for prayer was so great that I sent a request to St. Stephens, where I had no affiliation, for prayers for this family member. I had an immediate response from St. Stephens, and I felt cared for, acknowledged, and recognized. I started attending online and Pastor Trudy's sermons are very relatable, down to earth, and give me a great start to my week with positive thoughts and meaningful reflections to build my connection and understanding with God. I have found all of the church members who I have met to be warm and welcoming and also down to earth. I especially appreciate that ALL people are welcome, and there is no judgment based on sexual orientation or gender identification. I most highly recommend this church!

A incident occurred during communion where my daughters were refusing the bread and only came up to be blessed. The member giving out the bread insisted they take it. They did it, but didn't know what to do with it. They were instructed by my mom to eat it. Following the service was a event for anniversary of priest? Or maybe the church. & multiple members walked up to my children when their grandmother was away to questions where they are from? If they were even catholic. & whether or not they had any knowledge of what they were doing there. Excuse me!? I feel personally embarrassed as a parent that allowed my child to go to church & experience this only to hear that they would probably never return. My first impression of this beautiful church is exactly that...it's a simply gorgeous campus filled with plenty of parking, lush landscaping, and there are several modern, beautiful buildings on campus. They have a gathering area outside, where you can grab a cup of coffee before or after service. The worship buildings are beautifully and simply appointed, and they are comfortable and the seating is ample and comfortable as well. The "stage" where the pastors lead service is high enough where you can see the stage from where you sit. They have a large screen in back of the stage for video and the audio that accompanies it is top notch! Each service we've been to on Sunday is beautifully and highly focused on musical worship, which I've never experienced at churches before to this stellar degree. The church has a nice group of very talented musicians and vocalists who perform so well together and include a video backdrop on stage on the screen the lyrics so parishioners can sing along. The ministers he tee are fantastic, down to earth and make you feel at home. I have enjoyed listening to each of their sermons and always leave here feeling the love of God and of my fellow man and woman in attendance , as everyone here is so nice and friendly! Staff later said they had not seen an incident and had not noticed an injury, so I recognize they may not have had firsthand knowledge of what occurred. My concern now is how the report was handled afterward. I expected a child-safety concern to be taken seriously, documented, and followed up on with clear communication about supervision and next steps. Instead, the director emphasized that my initial message of concern about a potential incident had "hurt the feelings of the group leader" and suggested I pray about my reaction. That felt extremely dismissive given that I was raising a valid concern involving my child being physically hurt by someone at their church. I encourage parents to attend at their own risk. Ask how injuries or child reports are documented, when parents are notified, what the adult-to-child supervision looks like in practice, and how leaders respond when an incident was not witnessed by any adults. I will not be returning to this church, not for Awana, nor for any other reason. God bless.

My wife and I sought out this service because she was in genuine need of prayer and spiritual support. We were asked to make an initial payment of $25 upfront, with an additional $75 requested afterward --framed as a "donation." As a ministry operating in the name of Jesus Christ, I believe donations must remain truly voluntary. Requiring payment and labeling it a "donation" feels deceptive and, frankly, borders on fraudulent. Prayer and ministry should be freely given, not sold. The session itself was deeply disappointing and inadequate. My wife was respectful throughout--she spoke calmly, answered the facilitator's questions honestly, and never raised her voice or showed disrespect. Yet the facilitator appeared personally offended by her responses and seemed unwilling or unable to continue effectively. The prayer we desperately hoped for never materialized. Instead of compassion and strength, we encountered weakness and fragility that prevented any meaningful help. Even more troubling, one of the very first topics raised -before we had even fully walked in the door was whether the same card could be charged for the remaining $75. That set the tone: a cold, transactional welcome that ranks among the least hospitable I have ever experienced in any church or ministry setting. I chose to overlook it in the moment because my wife truly needed help, but in the end she was let down when she was most vulnerable. We deserve a full refund of the $25 already paid, no further charges attempted, and a sincere apoloav. I hope the leadership reflects honestly on these practices rather spiritualizing this dysfunction. Prospective visitors should be aware: if you come seeking prayer, expect to encounter mandatory fees disguised as donations, a highly transactional approach, and the risk of an inadequate session if your honest answers don't align with the facilitator's expectations.
