All she would offer was refund for a parking fee and said she was the sole decision maker. I let this be but then it took two hours for a one hour trip to deliver my son to the location since the driver did not use gps and went to the wrong city. It was imperative to get her to the emergency vet as soon as possible to get it out of her stomach, time was critical. It was the middle of the night, (28th Dec), it would take me best part of an hour to walk down there, too late to save my dog. I called Hedge End taxis, explaining my predicament. The lady on the phone was courteous, and more important to me at the time, efficient. I had a cab arrive in minutes. Unlike many taxis I have grown dis-satisfied with in this area, the driver also was courteous, knew his job, exactly how to get there, comunicated exceptionally well, and got me to the vet in double quick time. I made it to the vets in time for them to induce vomiting with injection, and thankfully the offending poison was expelled. Thanks to the old fashioned EXCELLENT service I encountered, I still have my beautifull boxer dog alive and well. I can not put a price to this. Having experienced diabolical service from many Southampton taxi services in the past, I am compelled to write this review. One especially nice feature was that we were able to book a driver for the entire day to visit Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. This allowed us to visit these places at our own pace, as opposed to booking a bus tour. We requested a Filipino driver who spoke Tagalog so we could have pleasant and easy conversations during the long drive there.
