She commented that's not really how it works. She did call the buyer, they had what sounded like a judgmental conversation where the buyer rejected our offer and didn't offer a rebuttal. The whole thing felt icky. Not a fun flea market, could have been, but that's not what the old gals at this place want it to be. I'd spend your money elsewhere, places that don't scoff and snicker when you try to engage in the age old haggling tradition. Wouldn't recommend.

Walking in, the set up of this cute venue is very similar to the store we have at home. Little booths of independent sellers. Every booth is different and unique. I love all the stuff they have here. Old pyrex mixing bowls are something I love to collect and there were many of them available. It was fun looking at all the differnt booths and seeing what they had for sale. It was a neat experience coming here and seeing all the goodies they had. This is one of the coolest stores I have been at while in Athens. This place is HUGE--like, "clear your afternoon" huge--with over 12,000 square feet of booths filled with everything from farmhouse decor and Depression glass to estate jewelry, vintage signs, and mid-century furniture. Each booth has its own vibe, which makes exploring really fun. You never know what you're going to find. I scored a vintage camera and an old travel trunk that I now use for decor. Prices range from bargain-friendly to collector-worthy, so there's something for every budget. The staff is super welcoming--Southern hospitality at its finest. They even gave me tips on some of the items and let me know about upcoming estate sales. Bonus: it's right downtown, so you can grab lunch or walk around historic Madison after you shop. today was my second time in a week attending one of J&K Fleas An'tiques estate sales. last week's…read moresale, my near 96 year old dad proclaimed it was the best one yet. I was super impressed when everyone at this week's sale recognized us. both sales we found items for our house but it is more the people and the conversations that really make you feel great about the entire experience. I truly appreciate the staff being kind and accommodating to my father and very helpful to me. Very please and looking forward to visiting the shops!
