Decided to stop by on an early Friday evening after work. Loved that they had both indoor and outdoor seating options. Didn't love the bartender after the first interaction. I had looked at the instagram page before arriving and saw a drink that I wanted to try. I couldn't remember the name when I got there and asked for the drink menu. I was given a look that made me feel like I was wrong for asking for it. One of the patrons was nice enough to show me a basket with menus in it. I ordered the drink and went to find a seat with my friends. Even though it was fairly crowded, there was ample seating. One of my friends ordered the $5 old fashioned and ended up ordering several more. Definitely a great deal for the price and alcohol ratio. I chose the hoopla and then a sidecar. Both were well executed. I wanted to try some of the food, but unfortunately we had eaten before arriving. Several people we spoke to said the jerk wings were a must try so I'll definitely come back for those! Outside of the first interaction with the bartender, the other one was very pleasant and continued to serve us with no issues. read more

Place has several sofas well placed for maximum seating and create lively and cool vibe. There was a pool table and a few customers were playing rounds of pool, including one in party who we high five several times for being a really good player as he won each few rounds with different opponent seeming to unseat him as the best player of the night, to no avail... Our NC friends hosted us here and a few other bars we hopped on and off til the wee hours---it was an enjoyable fun day and night of gears and guitars weekend! The bad: they decided to auto grat a 20% gratuity which is apparently at "their discretion". Fun fact: we ordered the food at the bar but we had to go get it ourselves. I had to do half of the serving myself, your attitude was CRAPTASTICAL, and your going to charge me 20% The ugly: they took Bill's bar stool when he got up to use the men's room. When we complained, they were rude. When we moved, someone came over to apologize. Which seemed decent. Until we got the tab with no mention of imposing the 20% auto grat. For a $10 appetizer it almost filled us both up. I'll definitely try the jerk wings next round. Last Friday was $5 old fashioned and it was pretty good. My wife tried a couple drinks and liked hers including one with a smoked rosemary that looked, tasted, and smelled great! Their selection of beer and bourbon was pretty limited so I'd go planning on mixed drinks. They did have a whistle pig boss hog for a pretty fair $35. I really enjoy this place. It's very cute and cozy and great for small gatherings in a somewhat intimate setting. There's a few couches and tables and a small bar area, nice mood lighting, and a great drinks selection. I wouldn't recommend it for a huge group unless the weather is nice and you use the patio (which I didn't actually see) but it's perfect for a group of 5-6. We got a few bar snacks- the charcuterie board, pretzels, pizza, fries (all of which was yummy but nothing completely blew me away or anything) and of course, wine! We enjoyed a bottle of bubbles and the cool indoor climate lol. It was fairly quiet until around 5:00 when people started rolling in, most looked slightly younger than we are, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I liked that there was seemingly pretty mixed crowd not a dominant group. I guess the only suggestion I would make is that they add a little something sweet to their menu. We were looking for something slightly sweet to gnaw on since we had already eaten dinner and they didn't have anything. I will be back though to try some of the other drink specials. Loved the atmosphere and the little nooks and areas to get away from the crowd for a quiet chat. We sat in the room at very back and it was perfect for our small group. It had sofas, chairs and tables. The barman was kind enough to brink our charcuterie to us. We were very impressed w the selection of meats and cheese, olives, pickles and more and at a very reasonable price point. Thurs is half off Rose and Champagne so we had a ball.
