This was our experience - - so amazing!. It's nearly impossible to walk in, look at everything and walk out without buying some thing! Mad Mod Shop offers a wide diversity of beautiful things and unique clothing made on-site by Andrea, master seamstress, and all-around positive vibes woman. I found a beautifully crafted hair tie and asked if there were more, so my daughter and I would have matching ties. She looked through the basket and said that she would make one on the spot! We had a bit more shopping to do, so we returned to discover a pair of beautifully matched hair ties in a beautiful, sturdy fabric that will last for years. We also couldn't pass up some of the delectable chocolates, staring at us from behind a glass case, wanting to be eaten, lol! 3-hour free street parking.

Overall, we walked out with two beautiful rugs that looks amazing in our home. We also found an assortment of perfumes/colognes and was able to pick up a sample box for my husband to try out. Thrift stores are about community and reuse, not ideological purity tests. The Ark is clean, welcoming, and packed with affordable goodies--who cares if the chit-chat behind the counter doesn't match your specific worldview?
