Since, as a patron, I unfortunately can't directly respond to the 3 star "anti woke" review by Erin K, i'll be leaving a response to her review here and just hoping her twitter fingers find it to read: ERIN: Frequent shopper here, and I have to say, your review reads more like a political scorecard than a take on the actual store. Basing a low rating on a snippet of conversation you disagreed with seems a bit off-base and more than a little judgemental, no? Especially when you noted the warm greeting and polite exit. Thrift stores are about community and reuse, not ideological purity tests. The Ark is clean, welcoming, and packed with affordable goodies--who cares if the chit-chat behind the counter doesn't match your specific worldview? If we started judging businesses solely on overheard opinions, we'd all be shopping in echo chambers. Props to the polite team; they've earned my repeat business for the deals, not the discourse. read more

The owner is cool, and always jokes around with his staff and customers coming in, which gives the whole store great energy. This is a very organized thrift store, and I seem to always find something that I need. Don't forget to check downstairs for all the furniture! Prices are pretty good, although I don't know of any sale days, I could go home with an outfit for less than $30, and sometimes the clothes are actually new with tags. We went about 2 weeks ago, and let me tell you! This thrift store is wonderful! The gentleman working there really took care of us...AND played amazing music that had me singing and dancing. They have dressingrooms! We got over a 100 bucks worth of stuff for a song. Cant recommend the Ark highly enough read more

Cool small thrift store on the way to other stuff. Small parking lot but big enough to make a quick stop.

Just an okay experience. Store was clean and tidy when I visited. Parking lot is small but I found a space right out front. I was greeted quickly and warmly as I entered. The shop is quite small (I didn't go downstairs as I was not looking for furniture), and had an okay (if not small) selection of clothing and home goods. I was browsing around, not really seeing anything that caught my eye, when I heard a boisterous male voice, loudly enthusing his anti-woke views to a coworker. I could hear him easily from the other side of the shop and when I looked around, I saw he was behind the counter, at the cash register. It was a huge turn off for me, and I left the shop. I don't want to help fund this store. The gentleman was extremely polite and friendly to me as I walked out. No qualms with him on that front. If you like small shops, small selection, and anti-woke shop owners (was he an owner? He looked like he might be one?), this might be a good store for you to give your money to. read more

So, honest review of my experience at the arc thrift store on fourth Street... they have a lot of stuff I would say about a quarter of its priced and when I asked the price on things, the girl seem to be making it up as she went. I walked up with items that were marked a dollar, and she looked at me and said I don't know where that price came from. They're three dollars each... Everything was very overpriced. I actually found a snowman that I wanted to purchase and when I looked at the price tag, it had a Goodwill price tag for five dollars and their price tag said $10....hard pass. read more

I am 55 years old disabled and was in need of some new furniture as I was moving apartments. I called the thrift store and talked to a lovely woman named Ashley. I asked her if it would be possible to help me by taking pictures of different things that I was looking for and send them to me so that I can look them over with my mother in Colorado And she quickly said no problem. Between about four phone calls, conference calls between she my mother and myself we ended up furnishing over half of my new apartment in one afternoon actually could not have been more professional and more helpful and more delightful to work with. I highly recommend the thrift store to anyone who is looking to get high-quality goods and an affordable price. Oh well, going to a good cause financially men and women who wish to change their lives and recovery. The ark allows for this to happen through their various halfway houses and women and children's homes I could not think of a better place to spend my money thank you Ashley. We will be back!! This is a great thrift store with lots of different items. The prices are great and the two Kevin's that work there were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back to this store when I have more time to spend there. They were also playing some oldies from the 70's that brought me back to my childhood to teenage years. I recently went to this place for the first time about a month ago and have gone several times since. I enjoy going to this new thrift store because they always have new stuff out on the floor and it's actually quality pieces in good condition with affordable prices, whether it's to resell or for yourself. I like how clean and organized the store is making it easy to be able to find a treasure each time. My favorite is the large amount of jewelry to search through that they always have. I'm always greeted by the employees at the front and they actually have conversation with you to help find what you're looking for. I'll definitely be going back again and again! read more

Ark Thrift Store on 4th Street, close to Farmer's Lane, is a great place to shop. The place is spacious, there's an upstairs and a downstairs, good parking and the merchandise is plentiful, in great condition and low-priced. I shop there often for clothing, housewares and nicky-nackies. The owners will help you load big items. So, grab your thrift store shopping list and the next time you're out doing errands, stop on by. Also, out back is a porch with goodies, too. The porch overlooks the Santa Rosa Creek way below, which is very beautiful and peaceful, yet another selling point on why to go there. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Although this store no longer smells like rat piss, the employees attitudes suck. You are a thrift store, not a high end boutique or EBay. Using google lens to price your items is a bad idea so is arguing with customers. If you want to sell items you got FREE from donations for top dollar, open an eBay store don't talk down to customers with your condescending demeanor. read more

Unfortunately, their space is too small, so it was difficult to reach or see things on shelves behind furniture, racks, etc. It seemed disorganized. Also, the music was turned up way too high and there were people talking loudly. It claims the furniture is down some narrow dark stairs, but we didn't venture down there. Not sure who was running the place or who was just hanging out. The four star reviews are bogus. read more

Kevin is a doll. Very committed to helping out and sincerely one of the nicest people. We were from out of town and stopped in and he couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Lots of variety in the store and a low key, kind and friendly atmosphere. read more
