Pretty good quality of skateboards! I got all the parts of my custom made board from here and they're amazing!! Would Recommend.

I waited almost a month to write this review because I was extremely angry with Revolt Skating. I…read morewanted to take time, calm down and write this review after reflecting on the events that moved me to write this in the first place. My daughter wants to learn how to skateboard. She was taking lessons at Hazard Skating in McDonough before it abruptly closed a few years ago. We'd moved on to the next thing, but during quarantine, she rekindled that spark and asked if I could find a place for lessons. I looked around for a while, but living in Fayetteville, skating lessons were hard to come by. I thought my searching had come to an end after finding Revolt Skating in my Google search. It's closer than Hazard was and we were both excited about the prospect of her learning to skate again. I stopped by Revolt and Nancy (I think) was quite nice and charming. She welcomed us in, told us all about the skating lessons and promptly signed us up for a 6 week package starting with Alex Denny on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 11:00AM at Glenloch Recreation Center. Needless to say, we left Revolt very excited about the prospect of her learning to skate again. Well, Sunday, we arrive at the park, get to the skating area, get my daughter's pads on and we wait for Revolt to show up. Nothing. Not a phone call saying they're late, not a text saying there was a scheduling mistake. Just me, guiding my daughter around on her board, disappointed that we were stood up. After leaving the park, I decided to stop by Revolt and see what the problem was. I walked in, mad, but not irate and had a conversation with an older gentleman behind the skate counter. When I told him what happened, he was apologetic and immediately got Nancy on the phone. I was told that Alex had a "a few personal problems" and would no longer be providing skating lessons. They offered two additional lessons at no charge to make up for the no show. Fine. We agreed that the first of these lessons would be on the next Sunday...March 28, 2021...again at 11:00AM and this time, the lessons would be given by their son, Andrew...a reliable guy! Once again, we get to the park, we're getting my daughter all ready to go, I see the gentleman I had spoken to the previous Sunday at their shop. We lock eyes, greet each other and I'm like..."alright! they're here, she's going to learn today!" BOY...did she ever learn. By the time the pads were on and tightend, we were at the skate ramps...alone. They had taken off. We wait around to see if they've gone for water or something. Twenty minutes go by...then 30...by this time I am irate...beside myself! MAD! I call up Nancy...and I read her the riot act! I'm insensed. Two weeks in a row. Two no-shows! By the time I'm done, I've got a full refund, but I also have a dejected daughter on the verge of tears in that skate park. Were they apologetic? Yes, but the damage had already been done. They offered a package of six lessons for free, but it was too late. My daughter no longer wanted to deal with these people. Every shred of integrity this company ever had, was gone for us. I wasn't about to put my daughter in that position again, to have her hopes dashed because they can't be bothered to get their stuff together. Nancy's telling me that this has never happened before and Andrew's saying it happens all the time because of their new scheduling system. In any event, I couldn't possibly recommend Revolt Skating to any parent looking to find skating lessons. Conversely, if anyone has recommendations for reliable instructors, please let me know.

Not to be mean or trite, but I really wasn't expecting a really first-rate skateboard shop--with…read moretwo locations at that--in Macon, Georgia. Nothing wrong with Macon, but given that Gainesville, Florida is a booming college town and can't even manage a shop of this caliber . . . given that Daytona Beach has a long history of skateboarding and a sick new park and can't manage something this rad either, I guess I was kinda surprised. Clockwork carries Nike SB sneakers--they may in fact be the only Georgia store outiside of the Atlanta metro area to do so (unless Augusta or Athens has one that does). They also carry a great selection of decks, trucks, wheels, clothing, and other brands of sneakers and soft goods that appeal to skaters. Both stores--the Macon Mall one and the one down near Warner-Robins AFB--are simply beautiful spaces. Many skate shops are thrown-together affairs with little thought to aesthetics, which is funny because most skaters I know are into things like the visual arts or woodworking so you're think our stores would carry over the same desire for good design we seek on decks and in our clothing. Clockwork does this: the stores are really beautiful. You don't expect that in a mall store. So you've got some chill kids running a skate shop that carries most everything you'd expect in even a big-city shop like the SBs and other limited, rare, goods and you have it in a moderate-sized Southern city's mall . . . yeah. Savannah, where I lived for a while, and of course Atlanta, act like they've got the market on sophisticated youth culture in Georgia and then here comes along a skate shop with two locations down in Macon that just blows everything else out of the water.

I live a hour and 46 mins away from this shop but because I was coming into town to pick up my son…read moreI figure I would swing by as my daughter just got into boarding and my son was interested also. So I figured why not make it a family outting for the day. This shop is off a main road so limited parking. Also it's hard to see the actual lines of the parking spaces. I got there roughly around 2:45 pm on a Friday and didn't realized that they opened Until 3pm. A car pulled up beside me around 2:57 pm so I guessed it was the owner or worker for the day. Yet they kept looking over at us I didn't realized I was parked slanted because once again the lines are severely faded basically nonexistent. We gave them a few mins to open up before we entered. They did pack up with quite a bit of customers as I was leaving. Far as my experience Once we entered there wasn't a greeting as if it's a store, so me knowing me I spoke up and said hello to create the conversation so I could get some assistance. Because off rip my son noticed a board he wanted. Honestly it is a cute little shop that had stickers, boards, shoes, apparel, grip tape and other accessories not going to knock them for that hence the rating is still mid point. Yet the customer service factor lacked dramatically. I honestly was going to get my son a board that day but he didn't seem interested in helping at all. Now advice, no suggestions, honestly not a bit of nothing besides answering my question about the boards price points and shoe prices as I seen they had some clearance shoes on the floor. So my daughter just got a few stickers in which he did throw in a few extra for free and we left. Which sucks because my daughter got to skate and my son just had to watch from the sidelines. I'll just look into some other shops in my area hopefully they have something my son likes.
