VIP Full Service Salon is an exceptional salon. Customer service is great, my experiences with VIP Full Service Salon and the feedback I have heard from other former customers have been great. The products are exceptional, one day I overheard a customer speaking of how the products were amazing, specifically a customer with critical scalp issues which were almost resolved within two weeks after applying the product. The Salon has a nice serene feeling when you walk in, it is always clean, the staff is professional, and the Master Barber is always on point, his wife has a pleasant character and has been a professional stylist for over 30 years and she has accolades to prove it both her and her husband. One thing I enjoy is that they are very personable, they have prayer with you, however they are not pushy as in pushing their religion off on you. They are a spiritual-based salon with a natural feeling, once again their products are amazing, and their technique of doing styles are great. The staff are trained and have a nice demeanor, they even have a small spa and a spa technician that is well trained. I would not trade this salon for any other salon. read more

VIP is a great salon from customer service to great styles, selection of services, and great cuts. I was in Harlingen for an extended vacation and VIP Full-Service Salon was my salon of choice while visiting. VIP products are amazing and next to none, initially I visited the salon for a shampoo due to a bad case of itching of the scalp, keep in mind, I had suffered from this problem for years, loosing hope and using over the counter products of all sorts. After speaking with the hair specialist about the problem, she offered a free sample of her organic products for me to try. After applying the products for about a week a noticed a substantial reduction in the amount of scalp irritation and particles coming from my scalp. I've now returned home, and I continue to use a mixture of the products, my scalp is great, and I've almost totally illuminated the flakes. I am grateful to VIP as I have searched for several alternatives to alleviate this problem. The only problem I now face is finding a suitable stylist for my hair. Recently, while I was traveling to Texas on business, I was referred to VIP Salon and Spa Wellness services. What an absolute delight! I was greeted by both Owners a fantastic Husband and Wife duo who collectively possess over 40 years of knowledge of cuts, color and the science of skin and hair. I was treated to a fabulous cut and color. The quality of the hair products was top notch! After learning about their personalized haircare products and seeing the results, I was a believer and was happy to be able to buy the products and take them home. Then I moved onto having a fabulous signature spa facial created by the owner herself to complete my day of beauty; it was as if I was still in LA! This place is by far the best salon I've been to. They have wonderful service! I loved it! I won't lie I was nervous to let anyone new touch my hair. The nerves went away when I walked in. I was greeted and seated in a salon chair right away. They asked what I was in for, and then worked their magic. There were good vibes all around with Smiles and laughter. I felt like family. If you're looking for a salon/barber that will get it right the first time, this is your place! I don't have a lot of hair left, but I am particular about my haircuts. No one wants to get home and have to touch up their hair after they just paid for the service. The staff here will take their time and give the attention to detail that everyone is looking for. They're all very approachable. As far as operations, they're closed on Sundays and Tuesdays but they're open until about 7pm so you can get an evening cut. They constantly preach professionalism, yet they are the first to act unprofessional, whether it's through poor communication, favoritism, or simply not respecting students' time and concerns. On top of that, the curriculum feels rushed, and students are often left to teach themselves. Questions are met with vague answers, and constructive feedback is nearly nonexistent. Instead of preparing students for success in the beauty industry, they seem more interested in pushing them through the program as quickly as possible while ignoring the real skills and experience needed.
