On Sunday, I had him at an emergency vet near Williamsport. They were extremely dismissive and $475 later, I had zero answers. I was able to get a next day appointment with Mountain Shadow without being a prior client. They scheduled me the very next morning. I knew I made the right decision as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. B suggested an ultrasound and minutes later had a diagnosis and treatment plan. I am now a lifetime client and have already recommended Mountain Shadow to several of my friends. Thank you so much Dr. B and staff! I also have to say that it is crazy to me that there are any negative reviews of Mountain Shadow. I read another review that says not to pay attention to the negative reviews, and I echo that sentiment 100%. My dog was not doing well at all, but when Dr. B got on the floor with him to introduce himself, Cooper lit up and was trying to get on his lap. One word-Disappointed…read more The only thing keeping this place from a one star rating is the main worker (I presume owner). She seems to have a huge heart, being very friendly and focused on the dogs. She seemed to be doing the best she could despite the circumstances, inferring she currently had more dogs than normal. Expecting an average environment, it was much messier/dirty than expected. There were at least 10 large dogs outside, all being in the same fence together. Inside the building, there was a large wall that blocks vision of the indoor dog living quarters. There are many hand written signs all over the registration area, which included a sign reading 'cash only'. Near overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke inside. Honestly, I couldn't leave my dogs in this boarding environment, nearly having to cancel my vacation. If you're looking for a group environment for younger, very well socialized dogs, this could be your place. More elderly, shy, or special needs dogs would easily be overwhelmed with this type environment.

No sooner did I drop her off and Kathy left for the day leaving my dog unattended. Kathy was boarding a German Shepard that someone dumped at her place - no papers, vaccines, or info z. This dog was in a small room with only a half door separating her from my dog. She easily hopped over the half door and tore my sweet little to pieces!!!! Kathy called me when she returned hours later apologizing but had no explanation for why she left her unattended all day. What good is daycare if they are left alone all day! I come to find out later that this is just another one of many incidents where a dog has been hurt and killed because of how she runs this business. Her husband John is addicted to prescription pain killers and an alcoholic. Apparently Kathy is just as bad and sometimes disappears for a day or more when she needs a fix. I didn't believe this at first until after I spoke with other customers who have had similar incidents. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED PET WITH THIS WOMAN!!!! I miss my sweet little girl so much and can't believe I trusted this woman.

Why would you EVER buy anything from these people???. And…read morethis is TRUE. Bella was a tiny Yorkie owned by Bella's Closet Owners. Bella's owner stepped on the dogs back leaving Bella PARALYZED. When they took Bella to a veterinarian and the vet's educated advice was to put the dog to sleep. Because the quality of life was not going to be good and the dog would succumb to other problems that would leave the dog suffering and ultimately die slowly. Bella's owners were outraged. They said no and left the dog suffer in their kitchen on a towel pooping and peeing itself until it eventually died the way the vet explained. They also took Bella to a second vet who said the only thing they could do was possibly try acupuncture. But Bella's owners decided they were NOT going to spend the money to have the dog treated with acupuncture. Bella died shortly after. So the name Bella's closet came in memory of the dog they STEPPED on and LEFT SUFFER because they DID NOT get proper care for the dog or follow a veterinarians advice.
