While the staff…read moregenerally provides great service, I have consistently observed the owner speaking poorly to both his customers and his barbers. He frequently berates and belittles his staff in the open, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. My decision to leave a negative review stems from a direct interaction I had with the owner during my most recent visit. My usual barbers were busy, and seeing that the owner was not cutting anyone's hair and had an empty chair, I approached his station. As a busy professional with limited time, I asked if he was available to cut my hair. Instead of a professional response, he immediately adopted an attitude, seemingly annoyed by the request, and asked, "Don't you want to wait for your guy?" When I walked away to sit down, rather than letting it go, he engaged me again and escalated the situation. When I asked if he was "too good" to cut my hair, he launched into a rant about a "silent rule" regarding waiting for specific barbers--despite me directly asking him for a service he was available to provide. He proceeded to argue with me and speak down to me in front of his staff and other customers. It is unacceptable for a business owner to publicly berate a long-time client or to refuse service based on arbitrary "silent rules" when a customer is pressed for time. This behavior is unprofessional and hostile. I want to warn potential customers that while the barbers may be skilled, the management creates a toxic environment.

Worst of all, when I asked for a shape-up for my beard, they did not even take a razor to my face to give my beard and mustache that "fresh out the shop, razor sharp look" to my beard. It basically looks like I cut it myself at home. The inside of the shop is really nice and very comfortable, friendly service and interesting barbers but I guess it just wasn't up to my standards. Judge for yourself but somebody told me about the popies (Spanish dudes) somewhere where I will not mention, but that do actually use razors on your face. That will be the next spot I try out next.
