After my first review on google I was contacted minutes after posting. Not contacted by Tirza herself but Mike her boyfriend, so strange. He sends me a text and asks what they can do to make it better? I say "give me my money back". I paid $180 for a "in home" amateur application. They refuse to give me my money back but offer me $120 to take down my review. I refuse as I feel people need to know, after all I only went to her based on all the 5 star reviews. Anyhow, the pictures attached say it all. Lashes were clumped together several glued to 1 lash. Some were even glued to my skin! It's a relief to have them off, they were so painful. Some are still on as the technician wasn't able to take them off. She said it wasn't professional glue, probably a "house brand" because it is usually never that hard to dissolve lash glue. This was the most horrible experience ever please beware. "Mike" even quoted my place of work and my neighbourhood which was very disturbing.

I just got the HD Brows service done and it was done terribly, the wax ripped some of my skin off…read moreand has begun to scab, the tint was applied carelessly and has stained around my brows, and worst of all shaping was done without a even a quick consultation with me. I was never asked what I liked or consulted about anything, she just went for it. And also, they never even trimmed my eyebrows at all, just waxed and plucked, I don't even think she remembered she just wanted to be done with me as quickly as possible. I don't know what I paid such a hefty price tag for ($45!!), when I am going to have to fix everything when I go home anyways. Edit: No I am not taking any oral or topical medications, I've done the same service before and I have never completely scabbed over like this. My other eyebrow (while not done well regarding shaping) has only a small scab but is otherwise not torn like the one I've shown in the picture. I truly believe that they do not properly train on how to do and wax eyebrows, the woman who did mine perhaps didn't use wax which was hot enough (the other brow that wasn't hurt was done last by which time the wax may have been better) or pulled at the wrong angle. I spoke to the woman who did them and immediately she turned the situation so that I would feel like I may have done something wrong, asking about medications and then finally saying I must be more sensitive and that I should just use some polysporin and it will be okay. It's been 2 full days since she touched my brows and the scab is not only still there, it's even darker. I can't even cover it with makeup because the texture shows through and I wouldn't even do that because I don't want to irritate the wound further. I've just been nursing my scab for the past few days instead of "enjoying" what my 45$ bought me. It's just not worth it. If they had even apologized or offered me something to compensate for the injury then I wouldn't say this, but that's just not something Caryl Baker would ever do, so please, believe me when I tell you that in this place, other that the one or two people that have offered any service for me, EVERYONE else is incompetent, rude, and will charge you wayyy above the quality of work they provide. I have been going to this location for 2 and a half years now and this is the final straw I needed to make me realize that this place is garbage. I urge you to find somewhere else to take your business before you regret it like I do now.

I came here a while back to get my eyebrows done. I was trying to think why I didn't come back but I couldn't remember. Usually if a place does a really poor job I always remember. The memories of why kind of came back pretty quickly.. This place was a little cramped. Its very small and usually pretty busy. I was squeezed in immediately. I waited 10 minutes to see someone, not too bad. While I was waiting the station I was at had a bunch of leftover wax (with hair on it) still all over the counter. Kind of gross. When the lady doing my eyebrows got to me she apologized profusely. This didn't bother me. She told me she does her eyebrows a little thicker and offered to do mine to my natural shape, not too thin like most places do. I like mine a little tiny bit thin sometimes but I decided to let her go with it. As soon as she started back I remembered why I didn't come here again. They have a membership card and they are SOOO pushy about it. She talked about it the entire time and I really tried hard not to show any interest. When she was finished she said "so just the brow wax along with the membership?" After I explained I really didn't want it she kind of seemed irritated by this. Despite the big tip I gave her. I think mine came to $21, tip included. My eyebrows do really look good. She did a great job shaping them. But holy crap I can't listen to them talk about their membership the entire interaction, and they're sooo pushy! I'd likely come back here in a pinch but I'd make it very obvious I have 0 desire to get a membership.

I have been having my lashes done on and off for years and this is the worst experience I have ever…read morehad. I requested soft natural looking lashes and I left with heavy, thick, super long lashes that were much too heavy and thick for my natural lashes so they turned in on themselves. I looked like a clown. I had to trim the lashes so that I could wear my glasses. The glue she used was also very strong and irritating. My eyes hurt for weeks. Although the technician showed me a photo of lovely wispy lashes this is not what she delivered. My natural lashes are now short and broken. Avoid this place.

Her work is over priced and it's too hard to get to in alymer/Gatineau without a car. And Uber doesn't go back to Ottawa. So take account for Uber and taxi fees when you book also.
