Food was very good. Ambiance was amazing. It was very quiet and relaxing. Made me feel very welcomed .

I hadn't been here in a while and I was shocked at how fancy it is now. The ambience is amazing for sure. The decorations and furniture is really nice and though I didn't sit on their couches, they looked cozy. I don't smoke, but this is definitely a place I would smoke if that was my type of thing. They have a large store with all kinds of smoking supplies at the front side. They also have cards sitting out to play which is nice and unexpected. It's for sure a great group setting. As for the food, it is amazing. Somehow it got even better than I remembered. I ordered the humus for an appetizer. The pita bread was so fresh and delicious. I could have eaten it plain. The humus was really good as well. The server was nice enough to bring us sides of the spicy sauce that the spicy humus comes with to taste. It's really good but boy is it spicy and overpowering. My husband really enjoyed it. My husband and I got the Mediterranean gyro combo. No complaints at all, though being a saucy person I added a little extra tzatki sauce to mine. The combo came with fries. I was expecting average fried but they were fried to perfection and with the tzatki sauce for dipping... they couldn't get any better. My mother in law got the chicken salad. I wanted my gyro but I was also jealous of her salad. The chicken smelled like heaven. Lol. If I was in a pig out mood I would definitely want that too. The only thing I dislike about the place is that they don't have fountain drinks. I like to drink a lot especially when pigging out which I really want to do here. I don't feel like buying multiple cans. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Gyro with expired sauce and no tomatoes or onion. YUK

I ordered a gyro And there were no onions or tomatoes on it, and their phone number doesn't exist. The sandwich sucked.

Lunch special for $8.95. So much food! So good!

I've recently moved to Kentucky so I need to find all my favorite restaurants again. This spot just made the cut. I actually tried to come here yesterday but by the time I saw the restaurant there was someone too close behind me to make the turn so I ended up going to a different pita place down the road. It wasn't great. My lamb lunch today was in a completely different category. I even texted a friend to recommend that we come back, which is saying a lot for me. Super friendly service and amazing amazing value with the lunch special. Lamb Gyro

Same great food, but I was pretty put off when all three people behind the counter were not wearing masks when I picked up my food. They didn't even have masks nearby. I guess they forgot we're still in a pandemic and the state has mandated that employees and customers wear masks when not seated? I'm not really inclined to return anytime soon.

Absolutely amazing gyro salad for only $5.95! Salad is loaded with gyro meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cucumber, olives and feta cheese!

Paradise Restaurant & Cafe has an absolutely amazing gyro salad for only $5.95! The gyro salad is definitely our family favorite item there! The salad is loaded with gyro meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, kalamata olives and feta cheese! They serve the salad with Greek dressing and tzatziki sauce! We love the tzatziki sauce so we always ask for extra and then we use it as the dressing. We like to toss the salad around in it so that the entire salad is coated nicely in the tasty sauce! Everything we have ordered so far has been fresh and delicious! We are so glad that we unexpectedly found this hidden gem recently when going to soccer!

I don't know how my husband and I haven't visited Paradise sooner, considering we live within a 1/4 of a mile! It's truly a hidden gem in the middle of suburban Cold Spring. My husband, on impulse, decided to stop and order a gyro and the House Mix Grill to go. For $5.95, the gyro was huge! We were actually able to share it, and feel delightfully full. It was filled to the brim with lamb, tzatziki sauce, feta, tomatoes, and onions. It's got to be one of the best gyros I've ever had. But, we also had the House Mix Grill to try. It's a mix of chicken, lamb, and kofta (beef), all seasoned differently, and cooked perfectly, with spiced, sauteed onions. It also came with a garlic sour cream type sauce to pour on top. It was served over a bed of rice. The meat was so flavorful and tender. There was so much food, half was saved for later. With a good carryout experience, we decided to actually go up 2 days later to eat in. It's not only a restaurant but, it's a hookah bar too. They have so many fun flavors but, we didn't smoke this time. We were there to eat through a portion of the menu. And, I'll also add that the owner is a super nice guy. As appetizers, we ordered the House Mix and Sajyeh. The House Mix was a platter of smooth hummus, smoky baba ghannouj, a super refreshing Greek salad, and the best falafel I remember having. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, with warm, flavorful spices. The Greek salad wasn't your typical lettuce and dressing laden dish. It had a light layer of lettuce shreds, and was loaded on top with chunks of cucumber, tomato, feta, onions, and olives. It was tossed with a light olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and oregano dressing. The platter was served with warm pita for dipping. We also ordered the Sajyeh. It is a chunky, spicy, tomato and onion sauce served with pita. It actually went perfectly with my husband's rice on his entree too. I ordered the Shawarma as my entree. It was a huge wrap, stuffed with beef, tomatoes, onions, and thin pickle wedges. It had a garlicy hummus sauce to pour over it. I absolutely loved it. My husband ordered the Lamb Kebob. It was tender and seasoned to perfection, topped with sauteed, spiced onions, and served with rice. We really enjoyed the food! We ordered so much, that we were able to bring home half of it for a 2nd midnight dinner. This is a must try restaurant!

The hookah and the food is fine. No issues there…read more My main issues is the atmosphere, service and pricing. I'll start with the atmosphere. Most nights it feels like it's trying to be a nightclub with its insanely loud music and lighting. Others are that special room at restaurants for people's birthdays. To me it's insane that regular customers or just people coming in for the first time are met with someone at the door requiring they pay an entrance fee. There's a bar next door for that kinda thing. The service here is very hit and miss. Whether it's the fact that you see online it opens at 4pm but you get there at 5 and you can't enter because that's when they choose to mop the floors... or you get there around 11 at night and no one waits on you until you go and get them and even then they take their time to get you a hookah or coals or whatever. Finally the pricing is maddening. I'll attach a picture for the pricing which is also just in the pictures for this place but anyways. My first time going here was on a Sunday night. I got a regular bowl(nothing fancy) and then I got a refill of the same thing. Total was around 30. Pretty standard for most places. The next night I went was on a Wednesday night. I was made to pay 10 at the door for someone's bday party and I had to Venmo them instead of the normal way you pay at the end of the night(super sketch). At the end of that night I only had 1 bowl(nothing fancy again) and the price was 37 making that a total of 47.... The third night I went was a Sunday night. Like my first time going I was assuming that maybe it was a fluke for that Wednesday and maybe Sundays were better??? Anyways I only got one bowl again(same) and I had a cover at the door also of 15 for whatever reason... my bill for that 1 hookah on that night was 48 dollars... so a total of 63 dollars for one hookah. Not to mention they look at you and expect tip. Which is insane to me. The reasons I wrote what I wrote are to warn any newcomers. It's definitely a turn off to get taken advantage of at a place you want to come and either relax or enjoy yourself. You should have specific things you do as an establishment and not veer from it. Pricing should stay what it says in the menu and there definitely shouldn't be some stranger at the door getting grinded on asking you to pay a fee just for wanting to sit down. I will be posting this on google also because my experiences have been insane here. All three of my visits happened within two weeks. So anyone saying that prices change over time. Sorry but that's a bust. The main reason I still put two stars was because the food, drinks and hookah are great. Just everything else is wrong.

Their service makes you quickly feel right at home, and that continues throughout the meal. There were five of us, so we ordered several dishes to share. The hummus was fresh, the falafel was crispy on the outside and tasty, the lamb was tender, and the lahmacun ('Turkish pizza' for those that haven't tried this) was outstanding. The Lahmacun reminded me of my visit to a Turkish restaurant in Kazakhstan many years ago -- it was that good. My adult kids also had the salmon and a chicken sauté and loved both... I almost lost a finger getting a nibble. The drinks and desserts were also spot on. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and has seating to accommodate larger groups, so bring your friends and family and share. One recommendation for the Cafe -- we wish the lighting were a bit dimmer. Seemed a little bright in the main dining area. Other than that, thanks for a great night.
