I come to this place often as it's close by and they usually do a decent job. Depending on what nail tech you get you'll get a different outcome and attitude. I've typically tried to ignore the attitudes and roughness of the techs but my experience today was too much. The guy servicing me kept trying to lift my nails after I had signed in and waited for a soak off. He was seemingly irritated that he couldn't take the fast way out and comprise the health of my nails by popping my acrylic off with a tool. I reminded him 3x that I was there for a soak off and he sat back rolled his eyes and threw his tools down. I sensed it was a problem for him and took my things and left. You'll get a decent mani/pedi but it's not worth the disrespect you may experience. Save your money and time for someplace that values it. read more

I waited to review because the first time is never enough, but after coming here for a second fill in, I must admit this is one of the better shops near downtown. They are always ready for customers as soon as we walk in, due to the large amount of staff. Everyone seems pretty friendly so far and the place seems clean. The two nail techs I had were efficient and made sure they understood what I wanted. I appreciate that! Additionally, their pricing is standard and even better because they do decent work. I paid $15 for a fill-in with acrylic, plus $2 for a cut down. I know the charge additional for everything else (long nails, shape change, etc.), but that seems normal for the city. They also charge $1 extra for using a card, so bring cash. Lastly, I must brag on the fact that they still take pride in having a selection of Opi regular polish for us girls that don't do gel. I've been here before and never had any issues. This time, however, my pedicure was subpar and the shellac manicure was the worst I have ever received. The young lady doing the pedicure gave me attitude, didn't clean the nails correctly, and barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet until I told her two separate times to do so. When it came to the shellac manicure, I asked why the color of the mani didn't match the pedicure and she said "there's nothing I can do, it happens sometimes". Came in with a friend to celebrate together, but we weren't even seated next to each other. Couldn't chat with her the entire time so that kind of defeated half the purpose of the trip. Tools are definitely not sanitized correctly- I watched my nail tech soak the cuticle cutters in the same dish as my fingers, spritz them with alcohol and put them back into the same packaging they came out of before going back in the drawer. Nail files had nail dust from previous customers on it. I asked for round nails and the tech immediately cut them square. Not a relaxing experience in any way. Tech didn't seem like he wanted to be there and was more interested in the soccer game going on in the background. Ended up with inconsistent nail shapes, a hair stuck between layers of nail polish and globs of polish in some spots of the nail. Fortunately, since it was regular polish it wasn't too bad (15 dollars) but as soon as I left I had the overwhelming urge to go home, take the polish off and reshape my nails and do them myself. I felt uncomfortable asking for refined shapes or asking any questions really. Will not be back and wouldn't recommend to anyone even if you're in a pinch. read more

The staff is rude and unprofessional! The pedicure itself was rushed and not done per industry standard . Yet they grossly kept asking if I wanted "Nail Done or Shellac" heck Nawl , I wasn't committing to giving up anymore of my coins . The overall atmosphere of the salon was unpleasant,while sitting in the chair I requested to speak to a "manger" who pathetically refused to be of any assistance as he was dismissive and unhelpful . I was also charged a $2.00 fee for using my debit card, which was not disclosed to me prior to my visit , nor was the extra 2.00 fee on the receipt , which is illegal I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. I've come here 3 times. The price is always super high. My nails never last over two weeks-and that's shellac. If you ever get any kind of gems they literally fall off within 48 hours. Clean, friendly, properly stocked and great attention to detail. This salon is downtown so I was skeptical but I was 100% satisfied with my service and would absolutely return. Some of the comments complained about the price but I found it to be pretty standard and well worth it. Yea, I paid a little less near seven mile and Meyer but the salon was disgusting and the gel machines looked like they had never been cleaned. This place was GREAT! Oh, they also charge a $1 fee if you use a card to pay for the service(s). I called back and spoke to a man who gave the name of "Lee". Mr. Lee said return and we will do over. I was but I changed my mind. Why? Because my time is valuable. Secondly, the do over should include some form of financial reimbursement. He was in a rush and my nail was badly broken when I went in, I showed him, and asked him to be mindful of it- that lasted four seconds. Most of the staff are rude. The quality of the work is not good but also depends on who you get. The last time I went there I kept telling them I don't want them to use that drill to take my gel nail polish off (my real nails!). So she put some RANDOM sticky substance on my nails telling me this will make my gel nail polish come off quicker. That thing curled my nails tight and hurt! I asked them to immediately take it off as they couldn't even explain to me what it was! I'm not a guinea pig to experiment on. I may need to report them to the department of health. Don't go here. The prices here are higher then other places. $25-30 for a full set & $35 for a pedicure & they don't put in any effort to do it properly. Believe it or not I still had dead skin on my feet after I left! I also got a full set & the nails were lifting terribly a week later after my cruise! They charged my mother $14 for her eyebrows! I went to this nail shop on a Saturday and it was very busy! I was greeted and and asked what I needed for the day, I was polite in return and told the man that I just needed my eye brows done. He nodded his head and I sat on the side. He didn't specify how long the wait would be, 30 minutes went by so I left. I then came the next day because I was being understanding. On Sundays the shop hours vary, the hours are 12 noon -5pm. I left work early just to arrive at the establishment at 12:05!!!!!!!!!!!! There were a few people there before me but nothing like the day before, actually ALOT LESS. I asked the same this time how long would be wait be for eye brows and he said:(and I quote) " Were not going to be able to get to that today" -_- at 12:05 until 5pm you don't have time? Lol these people obviously don't care about customers or all of the services they provide. That Saturday was my first time visiting the nail salon, and it will be my last. I was only coming to them because I live walking distance, and I haven't had my eye brows waxed in some time because I usually get my eye brows threaded. Needless to say, I'm not a fan. Hopefully everyone has a better experience than I did! I won't be recommending anyone to this nail salon, and I'll continue to go the extra mile in order to get my eye brows done. :D read more

Slow and rude. Came into the shop ( was not busy at all) and was immediately addressed for service. Sat in the pedicure soaking rub for 95 minutes before I was serviced while I watch guest who came after me speed through services. Asked the shop associated about the extremely long wait time and was damn near disregarded. She acted as if she did not understand what I was saying, then looked at me square in the eyes and walked off as if what I was asking her an issue. NEVER again. And not to be only of those overly sensitive people but there definitely was an bias in speed and quality of service. Not to mention polish job wasn't the best and I asked for my nails to be shaped square/rectangle. The associate took it upon her self to create a shape of her own. My nails aren't uniform at all.
