Excellent service. Everything is clean. My first chrome nail attempt here was not a good color (great mani, bad color). I came back a week later to get them off, and they made my next mani 1/2 price because I didn't like the last ones. They didn't have to do that, and they were so nice about it. I went here for a basic pedicure and paid $53 for it!! It looks terrible for one, and second the guy doing my nails cut my toe and it was bleeding all over the place. the shape of my nails does not look good, and the paint is very sheer in some spots and almost clear in others. This was way overpriced and probably the worst pedicure experience I've ever had. I was in the pain for the entirety of the pedicure. read more

DO NOT GET ANY SERVICES FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! I went in on Monday and paid $70 for a powder gel fill in on my real nails. I called first to see if they provided the service and the gentleman said yes. When I got there the same gentleman started my nails as Sarah was finishing a pedicure. When shed can over he explained to her in Vietnamese what I wanted and gave her a box of equipment to use. She couldn't get half off the stuff opened and called him over. Ultimately she used the shellac polish (4layers) plus the base and top coat. My nails are not the correct shape and my nail jewels started to pop off on Monday night, now almost all of them are off!! read more

I tried this spa out as I needed a pedicure for a beach wedding. They were so great! Staff was kind, facilities were great and peaceful, there was no blaring music, there was a relaxing nature video on the TV instead of the panic porn that makes one anxious abd seems to be everywhere. Definitely an oasis of peace. Oh and they did great pedicure! Will definitely be back! read more

I popped in one Saturday to get my first pedicure with my niece. Guy doing my pedicure stopped 4 different times to do other things for other customers that had walked in. Hello! I'm still here in the middle of a pedicure. At the end he went and started a manicure on someone that had walked in while I was getting my pedicure. He finally came back to finish which was just wrapping my feet in warm towels at that point. He did so, and literally didn't say a word until my niece's manicure was finished about 25 minutes later. Confusing and awkward experience. I was just sitting there with cold towels on my feet and one of the other workers finally let me know I was finished. The employee didn't say a word except to ask me for my payment 25 minutes later which was a confusing process in itself. This was on a Saturday with only two other customers at the place (until more folks walked in- not overwhelmingly busy). Pretty bad experience for $54.00. Go, literally, anywhere else. read more

VIP Nails and Spa provides wonderful service and a broad selection of colors. There is a large area in the back with pedicure chairs. They even have butterfly pedicure chairs for kids. It is my go to place in Vestavia and much better than the previous nail salon in the same location. My gel manicures and spa pedicures are consistently well done. The family that owns the place is really nice and hard working. I have never tried there waxing services, so I can't speak to that side of their menu. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! They messed up my nails and made them so thick and the shape was not even. They made me pay before I was even finished which I did not appreciate when I was very unhappy with the finished product. I told the tech I was unhappy and he argued with me about it. The positives here were that the people and facilities were nice and I was attended to quickly. I will say I was multitasking on the phone at first and so the technician began clipping my toenails before asking what my preferences might be. As a result my toenails ended up being much shorter than I'd prefer. I suppose I should have paid more attention overall because I now see there is clearly just one coat of polish on my nails, which in my opinion looks shabby....especially when you pay $30. Also, the divider the technician used on my toes caused a indentation on one toenail. I pointed this out once I was at the dryer and asked it be fixed. They repainted over it and I should have looked closer after because it is still very obvious. Finally, I waited to be checked out for at least 15 minutes, just standing at the counter, while the three employees working were tending to three customers who had come in after me. Overall I am very dissatisfied with the pedicure and experience. I paid too much, waited too long and have a crummy pedicure to show for it. read more

I was honestly a little disappointed with this place if I'm being 100% honest. It's close to my house so I thought that I would give it a try but I definitely won't be back. I didn't want a full on manicure or pedicure. I didn't have a whole lot of time so I just ran in for them to paint my nails. I decided to go with a gel color because like I said I didn't have a whole lot of time. The place was EMPTY so I got right in. The girl didn't talk to me at all, which was okay because I know English wasn't her first language. After she was done, I paid $25. Which was a lot considering that all she did was paint. No filing, no clipping, literally just paint. (I'm still a little mad at how much it was) BUT please look at the pics of my nails. It looks like they are a week old. Literally she didn't go all the way down to the cuticle and there was a hair in there. I definitely will not be back. read more

The first time I went to this nail salon, I had a good experience. However the second time was awful. I got a manicure, as I did the first time, but it looked awful. I paid for the service and asked for a redo. After repeatedly stating my dissatisfaction, the manager told me I could get a redo only after I had to argue with. Problem with that is he didnt bother to get my name or number. I elected not to go back because that is not how business is done. This may be a good salon for others but I was not definitely not satisfied, and will not ever go back. read more

My nails may look good but the experience was NOT pleasant. I have tried going to this salon for the 3rd time now but after yesterday I understand that they simply have terrible customer service specifically to african american clients and after reading other reviews I have noticed a trend. The technicians, especially Raymond, try to alter my requested services to what he thinks is "more suitable" and honestly talks bad about me the entire time of service. No I can't verify because I don't speak the language, but when every tech is looking at you and snickering what else am I to think. He also rushes your service so that he can spend more quality time on other non-african american customers and typically refuses to serve me the complementary wine though i'm well past the legal age. Getting my nails done is the one time I get to relax and and be at peace from my busy work schedule unfortunately I don't get that experience here and will NEVER return again. read more

I got an SNS gel manicure (the gel dipping powder) expecting it to last several weeks as I have always heard they should. My manicurist seemed very rushed and did not do the typical manicure pampering (didn't even round out cuticles or pick hang nails). She filed my nails quickly, leaving them uneven and bumpy-edged. Two days later, two of my nails had large chips in them, even though I hadn't done any strenuous activity. A week later, the gel polish on those two nails has fallen off completely, and the ones that have remained already look like they have grown out because she did not originally get right up to the root. I am very disappointed, especially because it was quite the splurge to get my nails done in the first place and I was so excited to have them looking so nice for the next few weeks. It doesn't seem right that I paid $40 for my nails to be this messed up. read more
