Tiffany worked on my manicure while she worked on another clients. She never asked me to wash my hands after she filed and uses that drill to take off the old polish and she rushed. Tiffany dropped nail polish bottle and a hair was stuck to it and she just shoved it back under w her supplies. I have always gotten a relaxing hand massage but she rushed me out after less than a minute including both hands. The floors were filthy and this woman didn't even take that time to brush off the nail filings - The only good thing was the wonderful receptionist who had to tell Tiffany what I wanted.... And yet this nail tech argued. Done!!! No more work will be done by that nail tech. And it's not fair to judge the rest of the nail techs. Sorry for VIP. read more

Have been to this salon several times in the past as they can usually get me in without an appt. My nails LOOKED good when I left but my cuticles are rough and now 4 days late I am noticing the terrible job of cleaning up my cuticles which is one of the main reasons I go to a salon. My manicure already needs to be redone because of the cuticles and I dont do anything with my hands ( like dishes or yardwork...)to cause that My nails last a week or more when I do them myself!I will have to go elsewhere and pay again to get a REAL manicure. My toenails also, although they LOOK good are square and have jagged edges that are uncomfortable in my bed and when putting on my support hose for work. Dont think I will go back there with so many other choices in the area. read more

I don't think they follow safety procedures. The lack of cleanliness is disgusting!! I believe there is so much cross contamination between patrons. It makes me sick thinking about it. I went in to get a pedicure with a friend. The technicians started our pedicure first by opening a little bag that had tools. The bag was not secured closed but zip lock bag style. The tools should be thrown out or sanitized so that illness (AIDS etc) can not be transmitted between customers. The tools in each bag didn't match. And they were different between technicians it was obvious that they were personally owned because of the individual style & color. These were not throw away cheap ones. The technician that was helping my friend ended up going to help someone else. When she started working on the other person she used the exact same designed tools. The technician helping me would rinse her gloves ( hands ) off in the dirty water my feet were in. I had the more expensive pedicure (waste of money. Not worth it!) With cheap creams and cheap lotions used on my feet and legs. The water was never changed. At the very end she used the same tools to pull the drain in the tub. The tub didn't drain properly so she continued to use the tools. This is where it gets more disgusting. I wish I had said something at the time. I ended up coming home and taking a long shower.... The technician put cream on my legs by sticking her dirty gloves in the jars of cream! How often was this done and how CONTAMINATED is the container. The creams should be in little throw away containers. She would do a cream rub on my feet and legs rinse her gloves in the dirty water and stick the same gloves in a different jar. I didn't understand because she also used cream that came from a tube. All the creams should come from a tube or individual throw away containers. The polish on my nails rubbed off within an hour. I am so disgusted over the lack of cleanliness!! read more

I'm not sure why there are even bad reviews on here. I've been several times and each time a pleasant experience. First time with my sister in law and our kids. The staff were amazing helping with the kids and offering coloring books. Now I come here every time I need my nails done. I never have to wait and I'm always very happy with the outcome! First time customer. Had appointment and about 2 hours before received call stating tech I was assigned was out. Receptionist told me to come in and they'd do their best. I arrived on time and only waited 10 minutes or so. Kimberly was my tech. Satisfied with service and atmosphere. I usually go to Brownwood Hotel Spa across the street, but have noticed this place and wanted to try it. Only comment was manicure only lasted about 15 mins. Pedicure was about an hour. Best pedicure I've ever had. If you are like me, pedicures are all about the massage and an opportunity to relax. So this place is perfect for me. My husband, mother and I scheduled pedicures for today when my mom found this place and Hanna, her favorite tech. Hanna's foot and calf massages are to die for, so my mom gave up her favorite tech to my husband. My mom and I were helped by two gentlemen - whose names I didn't get - and we were not disappointed. Very disappointed in the service. I never write reviews, but felt the need to share my experience. I was visiting Villages and just needed a simple manicure. I was a walk-in, the receptionist said it would be a 20minutes wait which was fine for me. 50 minutes later and after several people who came in after me and were worked on before me, they finally started on me. Worst customer service!!! Went in for a dip and a pedi (appointment). Picked out my color for my dip. Was sat in the chair 20 minutes after appointment time. He started on my dip came back with gel color, totally not the color I picked, and I wanted a dip. So he continued. Dipped my nails in white dip, which I thought was a base, but no. He then told me he could not dip my color on because he already did white. So he just started painting the gel which I didn't want. Frustrated, I just dealt with it and DID let him know this was not what I wanted. So, we went on to the pedi. I guess he was over me because all of a sudden, he didn't have time for my pedi, and they said I had to come back. I was like I had an appointment. I don't understand this. So after a while, they came back and said he didn't want to do my nails and upset me anymore, so someone else would do my pedi. Well, Kelly did my pedi and did an amazing job. ( Only thing good out of this situation) Wait! There's more! So two days later the GEL polish that I did not want started chipping. So I stopped by and told the lady at the front desk (same one as the other day), and she made the appointment for the next day to have them fixed. We'll, my appointment was at 10:00. The owner, who I was told was fixing my nails, walked in the building at 10:15 (very unprofessional) and walked over to me already with a temper. Now, at this point I am completely calm. He grabbed my hand asking me what happened? I told him the whole story. Thinking he was going to apologize, he started yelling at me instead. I was trying to work with him to make this right for both of us, but he was completely disrespectful. So, at this point, he has drilled off the paint on two of my nails. Now, he stops to presist on arguing with me because I wanted the color I originally came in for, and he was going to charge me full price for the fix. So, yes, now I am a little upset. I was not trying to get ANYTHING for free! By this time, the whole place is looking at me as he is yelling at me, telling me he runs this business. Then, he threw the nail colors at me and told me he was not going to do my nails, and he kept yelling at me until I was bawling. I have never ever been so humiliated in my life. So, I had to leave the salon with drilled broken chipped nails and crying. This review is about the OWNER! I'm sure the tecs to great job and I feel sorry for them. I will never ever go back and will always go out-of my way to NOT recommend this business because of the owner! After the fact, I am happy this happened. Extremely disappointed with the manager of this store. He took care of my nails, while speaking on the phone during my entire appointment, which made him not focused on his job. That being said, my fingers have cuts on them and are very sensitive to the touch. I have been getting extensions on my nails for years, and have never seen polish so bumpy. None of the extensions are the same length, and are very lopsided. After paying this amount for a very dissatisfying service, my mother went back into the store to chat with the man. He was extremely dismissive and would offer no refund, he would only remove the nails but my fingers are far too sensitive after his service, and they need to heal. Posted below are pictures of the non matching nails and extremely lopsided paint job. Would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone, as I am attempting to soak off my nails not even 5 hours after getting them. Respectfully, a child could've painted them better. I just got a pedicure at VIP nails on art. 441 in The Villages. I've been here about 3 times previously. The tech I used is Kim, who was very good. Today, as I walked in, there were two other customers that had a crying baby with them. I hesitated about keeping my appointment, but I really wanted a pedicure today. The baby continues to cry and and off the hour and a half I was there. They did take her out for a break at one point. As my toes dried, I looked and the color on my big toes ( peach) wasn't put on smoothly. I asked for them to be re- painted. This was after an hour of sitting and letting them dry. A man who was on the phone, came over to fix them. I asked if he could get off the phone and he refused. So rude- I couldn't believe it. I asked the lady at the front desk if she could get someone else and she did. I will not go back. Terrible customer service- especially from the MANAGER- wow. I was a little bit skeptical going to this nail salon considering I had never been and I haven't had much luck in the villages to find a nice salon. I decided to give this place a chance as my mother recommended it. Upon arriving, I had made an appointment but did not know who to schedule it with. They placed me with a male And he seemed very friendly. Unfortunately although he was friendly ,he did absolutely hurt me. When he massaged my feet, he used his knuckles and I had to pull my foot back as he hurt me that badly ! When I told him that he hurt me, he only laughed. He then also hurt me when using the manicure and pedicure tools. He cut me and caused me to bleed. Unfortunately I am now scabbing and my toes and nails are in pain. He was very rough !! Also, the nail polish was never applied all over the toenails. There are spots where I can actually see where there is no polish at all. When I was getting my manicure, I was in so much pain that I decided I would not get my nails painted. I did not want to stay there any longer. I had mentioned that he hurt me and it was just shrugged off. The next two days passed and I started to scab up. I called the salon and spoke with a very nice receptionist who I explained the situation to. I had mentioned that since all of this occurred and was not a relaxing experience whatsoever, I feel that I deserve a refund of some sort. She let me know that she would talk with the manager-Although, I have yet to hear back. If I don't hear back, I will take this as a learning experience Never to come here again. A manicure and pedicure isn't cheap, and when you have the service done, it should be a relaxing and nice experience. This was anything but that. I am highly disappointed and will continue to spread the word to never come here since I have yet to hear back from the salon. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have my nails filled for 6 o'clock. I work just around the corner and I get off at six it doesn't take me but two minutes to get there. I walk in check in everything is fine I'm looking for my color and I'm told that the guy went home because he was told I wasn't coming. If I wasn't coming I would've called. And if he was considerate enough to call me because my phone number was given at the time I made my appointment he would've known that I was on my way and I was just two minutes away. I have been coming here ever since they first opened have been very satisfied with their service. I have always recommended people to go there because of the cleanliness and nicety of all of the people who work there. But because of this happening today I am not going to recommend anybody to go there anymore. I have been going there for such a long time ever since they opened. I arrived for a pedicure without an appointment, I was told if I waited an hour they could get me in. I left to run errands and came back in 2 hours and my wait was about 5 minutes. For pedicures they have eight chairs. The actual pedicure itself was very well done, the massage chairs were the best I've ever been in, and the foot and leg massage I got on the pedicure was outstanding. Very unhappy. I took a friend here that was visiting from out of state, her service from the young lady that took care of her was fabulous but my guy..... not so much, 1st of all during the pedicure he was very rough, I was even screaming in pain and told him he was hurting me, he said your nails are dirty and I have to get the dirt out..... I am a very clean person and even use a scrub brush on my toe nails daily, they could not have been that dirty. The polish even came out bumpy where the old polish was not cleaned off and nails buffed properly. Now onto the powder dip, after 8 days the nails are lifting off. It's bad enough that I did not get even close to the design I asked for but then they don't even stay on. We spent almost $200 for services that day. My boyfriend and I spent about $150 the time before when we went together. I will not go back mainly because of the insulting way I was treated but also because it was the manager ( maybe owner) that took care of me. I understand having a bad day but it's not the customers fault. BTW, I get a mani & dip every 3 to 4 weeks and tip very well ( at least 20%). read more
