We booked two appointments at the same time. While in the waiting room, our two masseuses came out to get us. We asked if we could be in the same room. We didn't know there would be a Suprise Upcharge. Yes, we have had couples massages many times over the years. But we got charged a good deal more even though there was nothing special about this. Also, my masseuse was really just rubbing me. She said let me know if you want me to dig deeper. I said yes. After all, I went for a massage, not a rubbing. There was an another Surprise Upcharge! They never mentioned any upcharges at any time. So, we wound up spending $50 more. This is a very sneaky way to do business and we won't be going back.

Different months, different days and each time I schedule something (even confirmed the appt the day before) I get calls an hour before saying that either the stylist is not in or unavailable and no one else can help. Completely ridiculous. The icing on top is when I received notice of cancellation yesterday, they left the message at 10 a.m. They do not open until 11:00 a.m. My appt was for 11:30. So even if I wanted to call and speak with someone to reschedule, they weren't open yet. They intentionally cancelled my appointment when I wouldn't be able to speak with anyone. This was for my niece's birthday. Way to suck Ulta.

I had an order placed with a gift card I received from my mother for Christmas. I used it on an…read moreitem and ordered it for curbside pickup. It was the last day to pick up the item, but my mother was in cardiac ICU in the hospital so my husband called to see if they could hold the order another day and he would pick it up for me. The girl on the phone said no problem at all. The next day I received a notice that my order had been cancelled. My husband called and told them what happened and had to speak to 3 different people including the manager. I paid with a gift card and it was used up so I threw it out and they didn't know what to do. The manager finally go on the phone and said she'd contact customer service. It's been days and have not heard anything back at all. I understand I didn't come and get it to begin with, but don't tell someone you are going to hold it and then cancel it and then say we will contact customer service and then not contact back. No one knew what to do. I couldn't get my money back from my gift card. It just added more stress since my mom was already in the hospital. She is what is most important though, but I wish the staff knew what they were doing. No one knew what to do and didn't say sorry or really cared. I ask for gift cards every Christmas for Ulta but I think I'll pass next year.
