I had a mani-pedi combo yesterday. The young man did a good job on the pedicure. However the manicure was less than optimal. It was done at the pedicure station. I felt this setup was not so good. It was awkward to apply polish with him beside the chair. The two coats of polish were ok, but he just ran the top coat in one stoke down the center of the nail leaving a shiny streak. By evening some of the polish had already chipped on one nail. He let me sit ther with my fingers in front of a small fan, while he went on to the next client. I didn't think he was ever coming back, so I started to get myself out of this setup. He noticed and came over to help me. He did not check my nails at all. I had to put a clear coat on myself after I got home. I've had good service from the others, and will go back to the salon but I don't think I will use him again. read more

I had a pedicure w regular polish with Jennifer on Wednesday, 1/14, for our upcoming cruise that left on Sunday, 1/18. Early in our cruise, I noticed 2 toe nails where the polish had chipped. Further into the trip, several more flaked right off. Very disappointed that this pedicure didn't even last a week!! I've often had pedicure polish that has lasted 3 weeks or more, so I will be finding a new nail place for next time. read more

They do a nice job, and this is my nail place when I snowbird in The Villages. They have a steady clientele/lots of regulars. I want a specific specialist, so I always make an appt, but they do take walk ins. It's clean, they have lots of polish choices and I have been pleased with my mani/pedi with Gel or Regular polish. I will say that they can be a little spendy/higher than other nail salons. My total has sometimes been a surprise at checkout, so be cognizant of what you say, "Yes" to. read more

Shellac "manicure" was not a manicure. All he did was barely file my nails, poorly pushed back my cuticles then painted. No nail soaking, cuticle cutting/oil or lotion/massage. Polish was poorly cured and he even filed my nails again after curing when I asked him not to. 4 days later the polish is chipped and needs to be removed. Basic pedicure was mediocre. $67 plus $15 tip, not worth it. read more

After calling around for last minute pedi's, I was able to get into Lunar Nails no problem. Located in the Pinnelas shopping plaza, easy to get to. There are only 2 options for pedicures, regular pedicure or deluxe pedicure. Only 4 stars since there is no pricing anywhere posted. The deluxe pedicure is $55 and it was pretty nice with a lot time spend massaging my legs & feet. I did get a French pedicure with a nail design so that was extra. read more

I come from a very multicultural area and a culturally diverse career; did not appreciate my nail tech speaking in another language with the neighboring tech - not a problem until they keep looking at me and laughing. Lunar nails is super convenient to my house, so I stopped in to get a pedicure. I was able to walk in on a Friday at about 3 and be attended to right away. They don't have any menus or pricing posted, so I had to ask what types of pedicures they offer. They only offer regular or deluxe. The deluxe is $50 with a $15 addition with gel. I will say that the pedicure was pretty good though; The guy did take his time. All in all I may come back if I don't feel like driving to my usual spot. read more

When you purchase a basic pedicure, and don't tell clients about up charges, I consider that false advertising and taking advantage. When they ask if you want things make sure you ask them how much more they cost. They did a good job, but took advantage of my 16 year old daughter. read more

Always have. Good experience with Lunar nail salon. As all service shops, some techs are more conscientious of the job they do, but I haven't gotten bad service. Only negative is that they don't have a lot of color choices for dips. read more

Great pedicure! Got the aromatherapy pedicure for $50, we couldn't find any pricing on their website so were holding our breaths during the treatment. My pedicure was over within 20 minutes. He did not clean under my cuticle or do anything to the nail over than clip it and run over one toe with the file. Every nail looks awful and the polish doesn't go to the edges of my nails. Also he sent me to the dryer with polish all over the skin around around my nails. Very disappointing and not worth $30. Alex did my nails. My big toe is lumpy too. I watched him apply the top coat so sloppy and he didn't even cover the whole nail with the top coat. Very disappointing and a major waste of money. I've been getting my nails done by Kera for years. Recently I've not been able to get in with her, so I went to a new nail person. He did a great job, but when the owners husband Victor checked me out for payment the bill was $100. You have got to be kidding me! The most I ever paid was $60-65. There's NO price structure. I received a full set of acrylics with gel and had my toes painted. I complained to the owners husband about the price and mentioned the huge price difference. He said nothing. I mean nothing. He turned away and ignored me. Totally disrespectful. I've been in the hair and business for forty years and I've never seen this. They totally took advantage. I will never be back. read more

Worst Pedicure I have ever had! First time there. I was given Alex. I can't figure out how my nails/feet actually look worse, more raggedy and dryer than before I gave them $41.00. I didn't see the magnitude of the bad job till I got home. When Alex painted white stripes across the top of my toe nails first and then tried painted in the little square below and then filed a little, and pushed some cuticle back I knew I was in trouble. This was supposed to be a French pedicure. They apparently have a couple of good people and then they have Alex. Every bad review, Alex is the tech. When I called to schedule one of the better people in a couple of weeks because this place is so convenient and does have good reviews, the girl just laughed hysterically. I read all of the great reviews and wanted to try this salon even though there were closer salons to my house. I booked an appointment for 5pm and apparently I was the nail techs (Alex) last client of the day and he wanted to go home. I received the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life. The entire pedicure lasted 20 minutes. He didn't cut or push back my cuticles, he barely filed my toe nails. I have rough heals and he just ran a scub brush over a couple of times. He didn't even put anything between my toes when he painted them. I could have done a better job myself and not paid someone $30. I will not be back! read more

I have been a customer since they opened. First I had Kady for 3 years, she always was ready for my standing appointment. Then they let her go cause they said her husband was in jail....so they assigned me to Jennifer, whom I was with for the next two years. Then they said she left and assigned me to some guy and guaranteed me he would be available for my appointment. Well, he not only was not available but he took a walk-in right before I got there....I was kept waiting 20 minutes and he still was not available. The salon is located a few doors down from Winn Dixie. Since it began pouring, I decided to catch up on some 'ME' time and get my nails nails done. There are TEN nail techs on duty on this busy & rainy Saturday afternoon. Facility is very clean. Staff is very friendly. Great lighting. Soft music playing in the background to where you can hear the technicians speak. 4 flatscreen tv's were on various channels without volume. Lots of nail colors to choose from off of the color carousel at the front of the store. Comparable pricing & attentive service. My mani/pedi was $43! Kai took great care in my short nails. There is 1 private room for waxing. There are 8 massaging pedicure chairs. There are 10 manicure tables. Sadly, no beverage bar with water, soda, wine or mimosas. No WIFI. read more
