Firstly, I was/am very grateful to learn that there was a Priority Pass lounge pre-security at JFK. Most of the lounges are in terminals 1 & 4 and the airport's set up in a way that the terminals aren't connected on the airside. I've read that it may be possible to go through security and visit other terminals to use the lounges but honestly given how long and chaotic TSA lines tend to be at JFK this isn't something I'd want to deal with. So, pre-security lounge = BIG WIN already. Speaking of security, as others have mentioned, this lounge offers a "skip the line" kind of service, which I'd definitely think about utilizing if I was flying out of terminal 1. I was flying out of a different terminal so I only used the lounge. Getting in was easy. The staff was friendly and efficient and the line moved fast. As for the actual lounge, it's cozy and modest but gets the job done. There are maybe like 6-8 tables/seating areas plus a counter. Be aware that there doesn't seem to be a bathroom within the lounge but I guess that's to be expected given the limitations of its location. It was easy to find outlet access. There's a few mini fridges stocked with chilled soda and beer, a couple of bottles of wine uncorked, and I believe you can order mixed drinks too. You order food via QR code. It's nothing too extravagant sandwiches etc. The snacks set out were also super basic. Jars of chips, pretzels, cereal, etc. I wasn't feeling especially well so I just grabbed a couple of cold ginger ales and didn't eat. I'll update if I return and try the menu. This is fairly bare-bones in terms of the actual lounge experience but am honestly so grateful for the reprieve in an airport where there aren't many convenient options. It gets the job done in terms of a private place to stay, grab a bite, and get some work done away from the crowds and chaos of the rest of the terminal. And I imagine the security services are a literal godsend if you actually need them, especially seeing how chaotic the line was the night I was there. (And how I imagine it's probably often like that....) Considering the high possibility of future layovers in JFK I'm highly likely to use this lounge again. read more

Really had a great experience visiting this lounge. If you're in terminal one JFK, they even have access to cut out a lot of the waiting lines and you can go ahead in the security check due to a back door after the lounge It's a small place with a very good menu and some wine juices and not other snack snacks You can order some food from your table and the service is really quick. Came here as I had a to do a couple of work meetings before my flight. I think this is the first lounge I've been to where it was before the security check point. The lounge itself wasn't all that big and just a note, there are no bathrooms in the lounge. It was pretty empty when I arrived on a weekday morning which was great for meetings. The food was a bit lackluster as they had a limited selection and the majority of which is ordered through a digital menu. It was kind of cool that you could just place an order and then the food would be delivered right to you. They didn't change the menu from breakfast to lunch until around 12 and I ordered the tortilla chicken over rice and it was pretty good. The chicken was pretty tender and sauce went well over rice. I would say that I probably needed to eat 3 of these to be a meal. The real banger of this lounge however is the ability to skip the security lane as they had their own check-in area at the front of the line. Someone actually ushers you to the front of the line and even makes sure your things make it through the security area. If you're low on time and want to get through security in 2 minutes, granted they don't flag your bag down, I would recommend using this service. read more

I heard about this lesser-known lounge in T1, which was accessible by Priority Pass. I got to the airport extremely early, so I thought I'd try this lounge before heading through security. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lounge is fairly small and the wall outlets were limited. For lunch/dinner, which was the time I went, there were some made-to-order sandwiches and chicken Tikka available via a QR code ordering system. They bring the food to you. There were some snacks like pretzels and cookies out, as well as coffee, juice, soda, wine and beers. It stayed fairly vacant during the time I was there, though, again, it is not big so they may fill up fast. I had celery and carrot with hummus, and I also had a chocolate chip cookie with some pilot grigio. There was no bathroom within the lounge, which is why I left. The security shortcut situation was wild. It was not busy when I got to the airport, but by the time I left the lounge, it was pretty crowded. (I do have precheck, and the security area here didn't have a separate lane for it, so I can't compare) The lounge attendant led me directly to the front of the line to the check booth, and then guided me right to the front of the conveyor belt. She led a now-totally-disoriented me to put everything in the baskets/on the line and it took me less than 5 minutes for the whole check. People stared at me and one man distinctly wondered out loud why I was being given this treatment. It was really embarrassing, but I was also grateful not to have stood in the line for 20 minutes like everyone else. It was a very bizarre yet lovely experience. VIP ONE is a Priority Pass Airport Lounge at JFK International Airport Terminal 1. This is a very convenient Lounge because it is situated before the Airport Security Check. You can have a quick snack here if you're flying out at a JFK Terminal with no available Airport Lounges like Terminal 7. The foods are decent, the lounge is a bit small but the service is great. You order online the food you like and the drinks are unlimited and they have variety of red and white wines you can try. They even told me that if you're flying out here at Terminal 1, they will going to assist you get fast into your Gate of Departure without passing the long cue at the Security Check and be treated as VIP. That's maybe the reason its name is VIP ONE . Overall experience is very nice. I will tell my friends about this experience and will definitely go back here next time around. read more

Came over from Terminal 8 since there were no lounges. The AirTrain takes about 20 mins to get here. If you leave enough time you can order cook to order food. Wonderful check in and customer service experience. I forgot to take pictures of my breakfast but I could choose from a menu of about 10 items (really rearranged combos of eggs, turkey bacon, toast, yogurts with different topics) and several espresso, cappuccino, mimosa and coffee options. At 12 they switch to lunch. Compared to centurion lounges, escape lounges, and others, it's not the fanciest, and it's definitely on the small side but not crowded read more

Ssssssooooooo if you are flying out of this terminal, this is a great option. You get to the entrance of the TSA line, ask for the lounge, and a person comes over and escorts you to the lounge, pre TSA. You then check in and have lounge access. If you need TSA clearance for the terminal, this is a phenomenal option, as they can put you at the front of the line. If you are looking for just food and drinks, it is very lackluster for a lounge. If you want the escort to the TSA terminal and the VIP experience, then yes, this is your lounge. If you want something to hold you over, do not even waste your time coming here. read more

Not the fanciest lounge but a wonderfully kind customer service staff and very easy check in process since we didn't have to go through a security check point to enter the lounge. Interesting lounge concept. They accept priority pass, which is a nice perk if you already have a membership. Not sure how much it costs without priority pass. Located before security (behind checkin E/F), you won't stumble onto it, you gotta go look for it. Theres a small lounge, but the big draw is the fast track security. You walk in, show your priority pass + boarding pass. They ask if you want to use the lounge or only fast track. Once you pick fast track, they have a little prep section to put your stuff in trays (laptop, jacket, etc...). They take you out a door immediately next to the security xray machine. You show your boarding pass to TSA, try to avoid the stares from all the people you are cutting and are escorted to the front of the line while they put your stuff in the xray. The whole process was maybe 3-4 min and saved a ton of time because the lines were long (pre check included). Would highly recommend the service! read more

Yesss. A must when traveling, especially during busy holiday travels. My husband signed us up online. When we arrived they were expecting us and greeted us by names and with a smile. Super fast process and they get you to the front immediately. We probably waited a total of 1 minute or less before we were completely through security. This is located in Terminal 1 between E and F, the lounge itself is super basic, but the lounge comes free with Priority Pass. There are a few snack items and drinks in the frig, you can scan the QR code on the table and you can order some basic breakfast stuff like eggs, french toast and turkey sausage. The lounge itself is like a 2/5 but the reason it gets the 4 stars is being able to cut to the front of the TSA line. After you are done with the lounge, the concierge from the lounge has you remove you sweater and bag, puts them into a bin and walks you to a side entrance which leads you to a TSA agent. From here they look at your passport and board pass where they scan it, then the concierge literally walks you to the front of the TSA line with all of your belongings and you go the THE FIRST SPOT of putting your stuff in the X ray machine. After this, you walk throw a side entrance since I have TSA pre check, total time spent on the TSA line, maybe 3 mins at most. THE BEST TRAVEL HACK IN THE HISTORY OF TRAVEL HACKS.
