After taking more than 4 months of going back and forth with you over what should have been a…read moresimple issue to resolve, you've permanently lost my business. Your low-quality plastic fridge bins cracked in less than 2 years, while still under warranty, and you refused to replace them time and time again. I would bet that if you added up all the time that several people at your company spent on my case, it would exceed the value of the parts that needed replacing (around $150). But for some unfathomable reason, rather than simply replace those parts and keep me as a happy customer for many years into the future, you'd rather waste everyone's time and permanently lose my business. You also felt the need to accuse me of ordering parts from an "unapproved supplier" which I had to resort to doing, after I got NOWHERE with getting parts replaced from you, and then claimed that you had to get approval from upper management to issue me a measly $45 cheque to reimburse me for 30% of the cost. A $45 cheque is really worth the time of upper management at your company? Also, I don't buy that the supplier I ordered from was an unofficial supplier, as according to the return address label on the shipping box the parts were shipped directly from an LG warehouse. Instead of simply making things right for your customers when your shitty products fail (or better yet, making decent quality products in the first place), you manufacture substandard products to cut costs and increase your profits, and spend your resources trying to prevent your customers from getting any resolution from you at all costs. Do you honestly think it's acceptable to only solve 30% of a customer's issue when damage occurs while an appliance is still under warranty? If you went to a dealership while your car was still under warranty and they returned the car to you only 30% repaired or required you to pay 70% of the cost, can you honestly say that would be OK with you? You also insisted on calling the damage "cosmetic" as a way of claiming the damage was not covered under warranty, when the bins had major cracks and holes, and were completely unusable. By this logic a car windshield with a large hole in it only has cosmetic damage, and the owner should still happily continue to drive it. I wonder if the decision makers at your company have suffered similar "cosmetic" damage to their skulls, too? I'm turning down your pathetic and insulting offer of a 30% reimbursement on the parts I already paid for. I will make sure everyone I know hears about my experience, and hopefully they'll think twice before purchasing any LG product. Between the time you wasted fighting with me over this simple issue, and the future purchases you've lost from me and everyone I'll warn off from your horrible company, I'm confident you'll lose a lot more than the $150 the parts were worth. You could have simply sent me replacement parts (which to you, I'm sure are actually worth more like $30) and I would have remained a happy customer for years to come. Instead you wasted a lot of time proving what a garbage company you are. Good job!

I bought their portable air conditioner, then less than a year out and it stopped working (still under warranty) - it started to leak and spew water out the vent flooding my bedroom. They gave me a runaround for a month (while it is 95F) and never honored their warranty! I called them numerous times, first they said since repairs are expensive and it would be hard to repair we will refund you, wait for an e-mail/phone call in 2-3 business days; 5 days later I called again, they said I misunderstood it was 5 business days and I had to wait a day or two longer; called in 2 days - sorry, I will escalate the claim to another department, you will get a response in 2-3 business days; called in 4 business days - sorry, I will contact the claim resolution department.....liers and frauds, they never planned to honor the warranty, it is a scam!

Every once in a while if you work for a company and you deal with a computer equipment you will…read moreeventually have to do a huge clean up and proper recycling of old hardware that you no longer need. It's a fact of life and here when you purchase any type of electronics whether it's a printer, screen, even a keyboard or mouse you are paying for a recycling free at the point of purchase. Yes, you're actually pre-paying for the disposal of your brand new equipment that you may not get rid of for years. It doesn't matter if you're a company or an individual, this recycling program is in place for a reason. You cannot simply put your old 1970's tube tv on the curb for garbage pick up. No, you must recycle your electronics the proper way and that depends all on your local government programs. In many cases retail stores like Staples or Best Buy will gladly take your old electronics for the government approved recycling and disposal. If you're a company however and you have a lot to dispose of well moving things back and forth are not as simple especially if you happen to have a lot of equipment. Enter Revolution Recycling. I was looking online for a place that would take what I had to dispose of and even pick it up but the caveat was that it would have to be at no charge. That may sound like a lot to ask for but it's not. What I found online was a company called Shift Recycling. Here is a list of Shift's acceptable items that they take: Computers And Network Equipment - Desktop Computers -Laptops -All In One Computers -Monitors - Servers, Routers, Switches And Modems - Typewriters -All Computer Peripherals Keyboards, Mice, Wires etc. Printers - All Printers Laser Or Inkjet -Fax Machines -Scanners -Photocopiers Any Size - Plotters -Toner Cartridges Telephones And Cell Phones - Landline And Office Telephones -Cell Phones And Blackberries -Office Telephone Systems - Answering Machines Audio And Video Equipment - Stereos, Radios, Amplifiers And Speakers -Car Audio Equipment -Cameras And Camcorders -DVD Players, VHS Players And Satellite Receivers Televisions -All Televisions (CRT, Tube, Rear Projection, LCD, LED) -All monitors (CRT, Tube, LCD, LED) Batteries -All Batteries -Alkaline (AA, AAA, C, D) -UPS Batteries and UPS units -Car Batteries (Lead Acid) -Laptop Batteries Wires And Cables - All Wires And Cables -Keyboards And Mice -Adaptors I had used the web site contact link to send a correspondence of where I was, what I had to recycle. I was later contacted by Clayton at Revolution Recycling asking me about particulars such as the facility, and photos of what I had and where how the access was to where the equipment was. It was a pretty simple process. Clayton later said I would be contacted the following week as to coordinate a pickup and it would be at no charge. I was by his word contacted about a week later by Terri saying that Revolution would have a truck come by. I didn't have anything with hard drives so I didn't need to worry about data destruction etc. While I was away the day they came to do the pickup, a colleague was able to allow access to our building to complete the pickup so Revolution was able to load up what was probably about 9 cubic feet worth of equipment which included a old tower phone system (I needed a dolly to move it), about 8 network printers, 4 personal printers, rack mount equipment, and lots of smaller things like keyboards, mice, cables, used toners, battery backups, etc. There was a lot of equipment to be removed and when I came to the office the next day it was all gone! So what I needed fulfilled, Revolution did for me. I had asked if they could come and take away all this stuff and they did. They came, they saw, they took. It didn't cost us ANYTHING to use their service. Also the metals and other recyclable components may get salvaged or reused and those parts that aren't will get properly disposed of so on the environmental level we all did our part. Revolution Recycling helped me and they can probably help you too. I'm guessing on volume, the more you have the more it's worth they're while to use their resources to pick up your unwanted equipment. If you don't have enough and you just want say one or two things removed there may be a service charge. In my case we had enough to justify a free pickup which works for me.
