After taking more than 4 months of going back and forth with you over what should have been a simple issue to resolve, you've permanently lost my business. Your low-quality plastic fridge bins cracked in less than 2 years, while still under warranty, and you refused to replace them time and time again. I would bet that if you added up all the time that several people at your company spent on my case, it would exceed the value of the parts that needed replacing (around $150). But for some unfathomable reason, rather than simply replace those parts and keep me as a happy customer for many years into the future, you'd rather waste everyone's time and permanently lose my business. You also felt the need to accuse me of ordering parts from an "unapproved supplier" which I had to resort to doing, after I got NOWHERE with getting parts replaced from you, and then claimed that you had to get approval from upper management to issue me a measly $45 cheque to reimburse me for 30% of the cost. A $45 cheque is really worth the time of upper management at your company? Also, I don't buy that the supplier I ordered from was an unofficial supplier, as according to the return address label on the shipping box the parts were shipped directly from an LG warehouse. Instead of simply making things right for your customers when your shitty products fail (or better yet, making decent quality products in the first place), you manufacture substandard products to cut costs and increase your profits, and spend your resources trying to prevent your customers from getting any resolution from you at all costs. Do you honestly think it's acceptable to only solve 30% of a customer's issue when damage occurs while an appliance is still under warranty? If you went to a dealership while your car was still under warranty and they returned the car to you only 30% repaired or required you to pay 70% of the cost, can you honestly say that would be OK with you? You also insisted on calling the damage "cosmetic" as a way of claiming the damage was not covered under warranty, when the bins had major cracks and holes, and were completely unusable. By this logic a car windshield with a large hole in it only has cosmetic damage, and the owner should still happily continue to drive it. I wonder if the decision makers at your company have suffered similar "cosmetic" damage to their skulls, too? I'm turning down your pathetic and insulting offer of a 30% reimbursement on the parts I already paid for. I will make sure everyone I know hears about my experience, and hopefully they'll think twice before purchasing any LG product. Between the time you wasted fighting with me over this simple issue, and the future purchases you've lost from me and everyone I'll warn off from your horrible company, I'm confident you'll lose a lot more than the $150 the parts were worth. You could have simply sent me replacement parts (which to you, I'm sure are actually worth more like $30) and I would have remained a happy customer for years to come. The worst company I have ever encountered in my life - they do NOT honor their warranty!!!! Stay clear of the trash company! I bought their portable air conditioner, then less than a year out and it stopped working (still under warranty) - it started to leak and spew water out the vent flooding my bedroom. They gave me a runaround for a month (while it is 95F) and never honored their warranty! I called them numerous times, first they said since repairs are expensive and it would be hard to repair we will refund you, wait for an e-mail/phone call in 2-3 business days; 5 days later I called again, they said I misunderstood it was 5 business days and I had to wait a day or two longer; called in 2 days - sorry, I will escalate the claim to another department, you will get a response in 2-3 business days; called in 4 business days - sorry, I will contact the claim resolution department.....liers and frauds, they never planned to honor the warranty, it is a scam! read more

Never Never buy LG - their customer service is just so bad Had problem with dishwasher and they were quick to offer and take my money for the extended warranty, however when it came to fix it never happened. Tech, came out said could do it - I called customer service back they said parts were order to wait I wait for a week no call - I called again only to find out nothing had been set for tech. to come back made another appointment and took another day off work and the tech. never showed- they booked the appointment with me gave me a 3 hr block and LG never called to canx or say anything - they did even call that I took day off for the second time and that the tech. didn't show or call - and the liars that they are. I don't know where to start, whether it was from the poor customer service or just the defective product they sell... We bought our LG washer (WT5001CW) in 2012 and there already seemed to be a problem. For the first week and a half, the washer completely skipped the rinse cycle, so all of our "clean" clothes would have soap suds whenever we took them out to dry. The technician tried to fix the problem to no avail, we got a replacement at the end. Note that this defect happened within the first 10 DAYS which should have been addressed during the final inspection of the manufacturing process. Now, the typical lifespan of a washing machine should be around 10-15 years, however our new washer showed signs of wear 1 YEAR IN. We noticed that the detergent dispenser was completely rusted so we called their customer service again. After much negotiation (which shouldn't even be needed, they agreed to replace the rusted part for an upfront of $90. We didn't like the idea of still paying money for a faulty design on LG's part, so we didn't go through. Fast forward 11 years and another defect occurred: the pulsator (the thing that spins our clothes) was defective, since it would make these screeching noises every time the wash cycle was active. We called the department that shall not be named again and they told us about the one price deal for out of warranty products (which was about $225 after tax). Now here's where the problems REALLY start. On the day that the service provider was scheduled to come, they didn't. We even took a day off without getting any notifications of no show. We were told the notification should be given by the service provider, we were so disappointed to find out it was LG's responsibility to inform us especially when they had informed by the service provider already. When a different service provider assigned, the technician had to come three separate times. The first time, they didn't have the parts to fix our pulsator when they thought they had, so they had to order. When they came the second time, the technician realized that LG provided pulsator cap without the pulsator, so they had to order again. By their third time, the technician couldn't detach the pulsator from the rest of the washing machine after 60 minutes, so he called LG and they told him to keep on prying it. This eventually led to our washing machine being completely destroyed and our dryer being completely scratched in the process. The technician later told us that the washing machine was pretty much beyond repair and he ordered the rest of the parts that needed to be repaired. A few days later, we were told the parts were on backorder and won't be available in 4-6 weeks. The option is either to wait ( it's not an option for me since the washer was damaged completely when it was supposed to be repaired) or accept a compensation of $230.00 which is even less than the flat repair rate. When I asked for further escalation, the supervisor told me he was the highest level that I can go. Seriously? All we hear is apologizing and unfortunately this is the best we can do. I feel like I paid flat rate to get someone to damage the washer instead of fixing. LG needs to understand customer service is to provide solution and eliminate hassles instead of keep apologizing with no service. The machine won't be broken if LG didn't insist the technician to remove the pulsator, not only it wasted the technician's time and effort, but also damaged my washer completely. When I asked for a reasonable compensation, they agreed to extend the warranty by another 12 month. Why do I need extended warranty if LG is confident about the quality of their products. How would I buy another LG washer after all this? We bought a different brand from a local store and found they stop carrying LG washer for a reason. read more

We bought a brand new LG dishwasher in October of 2022 and it was installed in the first week of November. This was our 7th LG appliance. The motor failed and it leaked within 30 days of purchase. Motor was replaced, but the leaking persisted. Technician returned and replaced inner door and gasket. The result was the worst leak yet with a large pool of water on kitchen floor. Requested a refund and LG refused, demanding we accept another service appointment. Technician returned and discovered a large crack in a reservoir that would have required yet another service visit and another major component replacement. In all, we had three visits by the technician and two cancelled by him for a total of five days of our lives altered to suit LG's needs. Despite all of this they have remained arrogantly resolute that we accept more visits, until they deem the machine "unrepairable". We were obliged to complain to the BBB for the first time in our lives and LG has maintained their despicable position despite the BBB intervention. This company has been atrocious to us and we would never recommend them to anyone again, nor will we ever buy one of their products again. read more

Lies, lies and more lies from LG!! It is impossible to get someone from LG Canada's website or other sources to address the issue below. Also the phone number for the Canadian company on the internet is no longer in service.There is literally no other identifiable contact in Canada that you can speak to about a service issue. This service center in the Philippines has consistently mislead us about our case. Or at least has no ability to influence anyone in Canada about the service being provided by the Canadian firm. Our compressor on our LG fridge ceased on December 9th. We had a service person look at it from an independent contractor who confirmed it was the compressor but said it was difficult to get parts from LG. As a result we signed up to the LG warranty extension. A service person showed up after ten days on December 19th, but didn't have the parts and told us he wasn't approved to fix compressors. This was despite the fact that we told the service department what the problem was and what they needed to bring. A second service date was scheduled for December 24th. We phoned on December 24th to check on the status of our service call to be told that it had been cancelled. But no one had notified us prior to us calling. We were then informed that no one was available prior to January. LG said they would call about scheduling a date. We contacted LG and was given an appointment for January 7th and that we would receive a text to confirm on January 6th. We did not receive a text. When we called on January 7th, we were told that the appointment was not happening as no one had scheduled it. Once again we were mislead about the service appointment and had to call ourselves to get any update. We have now been told that they have no idea of when a new repair date can be scheduled. We still have no idea of when or if someone will fix our LG Fridge We are now one day short of a month without a fridge over an important holiday period and have consistently been mislead about when it would be fixed. read more

However, they did not take accountability & instead they gave me the run-around (for over 2 months) rather than just being honest & upfront with me from the beginning... we purchased a new LG front load washer on sale at corbeil for 899. reg 1399.99 not a cheap washer , after a few washes it went out of balance. my wife blamed me for not balancing it right, I rebalanced it and it still shakes like crazy, it must be me its new right so it should be 100%, we call in before the year warranty is up , they walk me threw the rebalance sequence, it works or so we thought, a few washes later its back to shaking , our lives are busy like everyone else's and time goes by so I call in a local tec to fix it, he does his inspection and tells me its the tub out of round not the leveling of the machine, I call LG , first they say he is not qualified to service a lg product they tell me our warranty is up and I have to pay the labor they will pay for the tub, if in fact that is the issue , its a MANUFACTURES DEFECT and was reported before we were out of warranty, why should I pay for anything other than they don't stand behind their product , I call their LG registered tec she tells me a estimate for the service call to verify the problem and then go back and change the tub is aprox 400 plus tax plus any other parts needed , what the ???? , I might as well just go buy a new one again it will be cheaper because im sure the way it shakes other things will be soon to screw up and have to pay for them to read more
