During my visit to Virgin Vally Dental to have a small cavity repaired, Dr Dumitru was both condescending and demeaning in telling me how to use a tooth brush to brush my teeth. I'm 70 and he treated me like I was an 8 year old who needed reprimanding in front of one of his staff members. Never have I experienced such rudeness from someone who claims to be a professional. I will never return or recommend anyone to this dentist as there are several other great dentist in Mesquite with high ratings who are by far more professional. read more

I had an improperly done root canal by Dr Dumitru. Because of ongoing pain since the day he did the root canal, I had to get a 2nd opinion and had to have an endodontist "retreat" the tooth. According to both, not only was one canal NOT done, but the crown Dr Dumitru put in was thin and inferior. And I continue to have pain. Dr Dumitru said he did the root canal "completely and pristinely". However, the "2nd opinion" dentist and the endodontist both showed me x-rays of my tooth showing one canal was NOT done. The "2nd opinion" dentist actually has the "before" and now an "after" x-ray showing the endodontist did in fact complete the root canal. Also, Dr Dumitru charged my insurance company the full charge for an incomplete root canal. There is so much more to tell, but too much to list here. Take your teeth elsewhere. No visit for quick care offered even though their website advertised it.. Front desk person very rude and dismissive in person when I tried to request an earlier appointment. They schedule it for 4 weeks away. Then called me today to tell me they had to cancel my appointment because I did not have coverage..even though I gave them all my Delta Dental PPO info....when I explained that I never signed anything for you to check my coverage or preautho anything as I hadn't even been seen..she got rude and hung up....NOT GOING HERE WOULD DRIVE FURTHER TO AVOID THEM..EVEN the supv was condescending..now understand why his staff is also!!? read more

OK, so I just had the weirdest Dentist Visit ever. Three weeks ago I had three extractions that I thought were performed painless and professional. On my return visit to have the stitches removed, it was a dental assistant, not the doctor. I was hoping to talk to the doctor because there was a bone sticking out of my gum. On the way out, I also asked to see the doctor about his opinion on posts to replace my broken teeth due to cancer. The receptionist told me it would cost $149 and I tried to clarify to her that I just wanted a quick opinion to see if there were any options available that I could afford. (see review on Google). Without asking him she told me that I would have to return for an extensive review. I was not happy that I could not even talk to the dentist but made the appointment for the consultation. Note: I would not have made the appointment if I thought the doctor was incompetent. They took the reservation for 7:00 AM. When I arrived the dentist came into the room and said he was not happy with my review and that the last time I was there I walked out in a huff on my last visit. Seriously, I do not remember anything other than asking but even if I did, I live on SS, and paying $300 for two consultations and one to just get his opinion was pricy. But business is business I understand that. However, after being there he threw me out asking me to leave. I am 76 years old and have never even been thrown out of a bar let alone a dentist's office. I want to make clear that on any other day the receptionist might have handled it differently but he was not even hearing it. Saying that he will always protect his staff without giving me the courtesy of thinking I might have been right. The two-star review (I said in the first review that I would give him a 5-star except for her refusal to even ask him.) Strange indeed. By the way, he says he records everything even without asking! I just had my 1 year check up with bad news about my front teeth. I knew that they needed placement or porcelain cabs, this is a very expensive procedure depending on if I had four or six teeth done forward cost me $4000, 6 $6000. When I came home I investigated some insurance possibilities to reduce this price, I then texted five times to Dr. Harris's office pleading for them to give me an idea of what the cost would be with the Aetna insurance. I was never ever given any response to this issue. I have payed they over $ 4000 dollars for a complete tooth that then fell out and they had to do the job again. Your dentistry cost me over $100.00 to put a cap back on. All the while making racist jokes about Spanish people, and his assistant was hispanic. Talk about a hostile environment!!!Then, he couldn't get it fit (which there were no problems with the previous dentist before).  He didn't even ask me, and shaved the top tooth above it, because it was "easier"  It's already come off again!  And now my top tooth hurts where he shaved it because it was "easier" for him read more

My molar broke and my wife tried to make an emergency repair appointment despite explaining the pain and issues, and was told earliest appointment is Thursday (it is Monday now!). This is abuse of existing patient and they should be ashamed. I will tell everyone I meet and go on social media to evangelize how awful their business is for making me suffer without care. read more

I strongly suggest that you take you and your teeth somewhere else. The way they run their business is an absolute disgrace. The Dentists are incredibly rude and pretentious and will leave you feeling belittled an offended. They overlooked a severe problem with one of my teeth and instead opted to "fix" a different section of my mouth that I was previously not experiencing any issues with. Since then I have had to live with a hole in the back of my molar because they claimed it was not a pressing issue. Either they are trying to turn their patients in to cash cows, or they are just such terrible dentists that they don't even know which teeth to fix. Unless you want to leave with bad teeth, and on the verge of tears, take your business elsewhere. read more

If there was a zero for review, they deserve it! Initial look at toothache went well on a Friday. Schedule cleaning for a Tuesday, went in and since they were told on Friday no panoramic X-rays or full mouth series (but forgot?), they didn't even clean teeth! Couldn't have figured that out between Friday and Tuesday? You looked in mouth! X-rays were sent from out of state dentist on Monday morning. Plenty of time to call and cancel cleaning. Wanted money for crown ASAP, "to hold place". 4 visits for crown. Kicker? Sent home with invoice stating "preventative cleaning" Are you kidding me?! Now they will not answer 3 email requests for an explanation. No choice but to call insurance commissioner since they are billing insurance fraudulently. Dental board for practice. Sad. BTW, another dentis gave option of pulling tooth. It's the very back tooth on top. But also dentist suggests waiting since pain was gone by Tuesday am anyway. I have moved to Mesquite from another state where I had been going to the same dentist for 20 years. My initial experience with this new practice was not good. After a phone call, Dr. Dumitru met with me personally. He addressed and resolved my concerns. His office is state of the art and I have received excellent care over the past year.
