    Red Bull the best horse!

We went out with this group to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday in Virginia Beach Sunday night for a sunset ride before dinner. Chase was awesome! He asked us about our experience and matched us with great horses then provided simple, easy to follow instructions. He was super patient and answered all of our questions. I got to ride Red bull, a beautiful paint mare. My daughter was riding Colt 45, and my sister was on Midnight, both of their horses were dark brown/black. I'm not really crazy about riding horses, I've done it before but its not something I love. I started the ride with the intention to "endure" for my families sake, but I ended up having such a great time that now i'm searching for horse farms for sale near me. The horses are all so awesome and full of personality just like people. I really connected with my horse. It was so beautiful being out on the beach watching the sun go down and riding the prettiest horse with my family. We couldn't stop talking about how much we loved it. Best birthday present ever!

First time horseback riding on the beach and it was so much fun! We stayed the weekend at the beach for a bachelorette party (group of 8 ladies). The typical party size for horseback riding is 8 if you need 1 more I would advise reaching out to the owner Chase to see if he can accommodate you. Chase and his team were awesome and friendly! I corresponded with Chase a few times before our actual day and he always got back to me in a timely manner. The costs is $60 per for a 30 minute tour and $80 per person for a 60 minute tour. The ride starts on 26th street where they are located and you head to the pier. Each of the horses have names, my horse was Redbull. Redbull was a very good horse. Chase and his team advise you how to guide your horse (pulling left, right, or up) and tell you about their personalities. Some of the other horses I remember are Ginger and Roscoe. Cheyenne was our guide on the tour. Overall it was a great experience! The youngest age to ride is 6 so if you are looking for something fun to do be sure to check out VIrginia Beach Horseback riding! I will definitely return with my family. Funny story To add my horse had an itch at the end of the ride I have never seen a horse roll around to scratch it was too cute and funny to see the bourse rolling in the sand.

Untrue claim that you can canter down the beach

The experience of riding on the beach at a walk was fun and scenic. However, we were not allowed to canter on the beach as the website claimed. My daughter is an experienced rider and was looking forward to being able to canter. The description on the website should really be changed if this is not actually part of the experience.

I showed up in Virginia Beach Mother's day weekend 2018. I actually planned this trip not thinking it was mother's day. Anyway...i was lucky enough to get to ride on such short notice. I called and rode a few hours later. This was my 2nd ride with Virginia Beach Horseback. Both times have proven to be exceptional! The customer service is always on point and feel free to ask questions, they want to make your ride enjoyable and memorable. I'll definitely ride again, so much fun. Thanks Chase and Roscoe!

Barn-sour horses and burnt out guides who have no interest in a ride down the beach. Gave no instructions on what to do next or where to go once the group arrived at the corral. They assigned horses that were not very nice. Our family of three were given horses who would not stay together. My horse wanted to get back to the corral so bad, and the guides couldn't give a damn; I didn't get to enjoy the ride, never mind enjoying seeing our young son's first experience riding a horse. I emailed the company, after the ride, when they inquired about our experience. They either missed the email or just didn't give one horse manure. I waited for a reply before writing this review. They lost a rating star for that. Will not be back.

Finally me and my girlfriend got to check this off of our bucket list. We both enjoyed it. The tour guys was pretty cool and was friendly. I highly recommend.

Easy to book and a fantastic time!! The staff was so kind and helpful. While our day was chilly it was clear and and a great experience for all of us- experienced and inexperienced riders. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter loves horses and said that the last trip of the day had a gorgeous view. All the horses were very calm and well trained. The staff were kind and supportive. Thanks so much! My one suggestion would be an add on of a photographer. At the same time I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell.

This was truly an unforgettable experience! Completely worth the money. Chase and his team take great care of the horses and are very attentive of the guests while on the ride. Inexperienced riders are reassured that they are safe if they feel like their horse wants to do its own thing. Chase or the guide help with holding onto your horse if necessary. Our 7 and 8 year old boys experienced horseback riding for the 1st time during this trip and they really enjoyed themselves. Be advised that once the horses turn to get back they start moving faster so make sure you hold on tight and have control of the reigns. Thank you Chase for this experience. Stay safe everyone!

With the field trip we got to see and learn about ALL the animals, we were able to feed majority of them as well as go inside the bird sanctuary. Then in the end they played in the tree forts. Our group got a goodie bag of pencils and flyers. It has been a while since I had come to Hunt Club farm, my prior experience was not so grand. I'm happy to see all the updates they have made including how well they're keeping the animals. Great experience.

They loved the animal enclosure especially the chickens and were very excited about the goats. The playground was also wonderful and perfect for my 2 year old to run around and explore. My 2 year old is on the autism spectrum, so I really want to recognize that the environment at the farm felt very sensory-friendly. The gated areas were especially helpful because my son tends to elope, and it allowed me to feel much more comfortable letting him explore. For families with toddlers or children with additional needs, that kind of setup makes a big difference and is truly appreciated. However, I'm very disappointed with our experience during the pony ride. I paid $10 for my 2 year old to ride a pony, and I was genuinely excited because it was his first time ever being on a horse. I've heard so many positive things about how horse riding can help regulate children on the spectrum, so this was a moment I was really looking forward to as a parent. Unfortunately, the staff member who took us around for the pony ride was extremely rude and clearly seemed like she did not want to be there. Her attitude made the interaction very uncomfortable, and it honestly felt like we were an inconvenience. I pushed through the moment so my son could still enjoy his ride, but it completely took away from what should have been a really special first experience. When we looked back at the photos we took of the moment, in some of them she is actually rolling her eyes, which was very disappointing to see. No parent wants their child's first experience with something special to feel like they are bothering the staff. I'm sharing this feedback because the farm itself is a wonderful place for young kids, and I hope management is aware of how interactions like this affect families' experiences. The animals, playground, and environment were great, but customer interactions especially during experiences like pony rides should feel welcoming and positive for families and children.
