There are palm trees, a little sandy beach area, and nice open spaces. What makes it even cooler is that the peaceful park sits right beside downtown Miami's tall buildings. You get a mix of nature and city views at the same time. Plus, there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby, so it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy the area. It is conveniently located right next door to the Perez and Frost museum. We headed here after visiting the museum, thinking this was a good spot for the kids to run around in before heading back. Getting picked up here with L yft was difficult- I don't recommend that!

I used WhatsApp and they respond really quickly. Just provide details like the day, amount of people and the time. You can also book through their website which I also did but WhatsApp was immediate service. We quickly found an option that fit our budget and they send over a contract to sign. A small deposit is due during the time you sign your contract with the remaining balance and tip on the day of your trip. They offer drink and food services but we opted to bring our own as they provide an ice cooler. Our captain, Daniel, was great. He texted me right before and we let him know we were running late. Our Uber dropped us off at the wrong location which made us more late but he still gave us our time back when he did not have to all. Once he helped us onto the boat, he asked where we wanted to go and took us to a small island with other boats. He also gives you full access to the music. They also have an option for a large floatie for everyone to lay out and relax on. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a private boat ride. Prices are very reasonable. Easily our favorite excursion on the trip!

The Avalon boat was exactly like the pictures on the website and there was room enough for all 10 of us on board. Bring an iPod and a charger so you can DJ your own music and there was a cooler on board to store drinks etc. One of our friends kinda had some trouble swimming back to the boat due to the strong current and umm his current state and Captain Gabriel jumped in the water with a life jacket and saved him. :-) At the end of our rental, he even dropped us off at the Icon dock vs having to go all the way back to South Beach, very convenient! Would definitely sail with them again! Our boat was going about 40 mph and making wild turns on the water. A word to the wise, if you don't want to get wet, then sit in the middle area and not the back. You will see the Port of Miami, the Miami downtown skyline, Star Island and Millionaires Row, Palm Island, Fisher Island, South Beach and speed to the Atlantic Ocean. Time it right and you will see the sunset. The Captain and crew are awesome and will give you great info. This is definitely something you want to do in Miami! Adult tickets, age 12+ are $45 and kids 3-11 are $35. Parking can be found at Bayside Marketplace Garage. Check Groupon for specials. You can show up and board fairly quickly. There are plenty of restaurants at Bayside if you are hungry afterwards.

I am a local resident and repeat customer who has enjoyed this tour many times. Unfortunately, my…read moremost recent experience was disappointing. The issue was never that I might get wet. I understand this is a high-speed boat attraction and have ridden many times. I was simply trying to explain how wind direction and passenger positioning can affect the amount of spray passengers receive. In my experience, captains have previously appreciated these discussions and handled them professionally. Instead of listening, staff repeatedly and aggressively told me that I would get wet, which completely missed the point I was trying to make. When I asked to speak with a captain or supervisor, my request was denied. The situation became increasingly confrontational. I was told not to educate an adult individual at the kiosk about nautical terminology, despite my attempt to explain a legitimate concern. I was also uncomfortable being recorded without my permission. Rather than de-escalating the situation, staff called security and threatened police removal. As a long-time customer, I found that response excessive and unnecessary. I expect better customer service, professionalism, and respect from a business I have supported for years. Management should review how this incident was handled and provide additional training on customer relations and conflict de-escalation.

I needed to renew my ACA instructor certification and wanted to get WPA instructor certification, so I did an ACA Level 1 and 2 SUP workshop and WPA level 1 SUP instructor training/certification with TFY. Meghan is the best SUP instructor/instructor trainer I've had. She's obviously very knowledgeable, but more importantly, she's also awesome at conveying that knowledge. We covered a huge amount of information in the ACA L1/2 workshop, but she made it manageable and easily understandable. The welcome letter she sends prior to class is very helpful and lets you know what to bring, the schedule, and what to expect. Her videos are also extremely helpful to watch beforehand. I thought the ACA workshop would be largely review for me, but I was surprised by how much I learned. She's also very upbeat, encouraging, and patient, and her low-pressure approach creates the perfect environment for learning. She taught high school math for 9 years, and I think her background in education plus her SUP knowledge and skills make her an outstanding instructor and instructor trainer. I'm looking forward to returning for ACA L1/2 instructor certification training.
