Violent sexual assaults happen on my campus (Monroe park campus) and in my dorm building and the police don't even try to send a description of the perpetrator. Multiple repeat offenses have happened this month alone and the police have not arrested anyone. My teachers often skip classes, and I feel that I have paid full tuition to teach myself everything. The school president is greedy and takes the students money to buy cars instead of fixing the school. 0/10 transferring as soon as possible.

The people that I encountered were friendly and helpful in directing me to the Spider Shop which I believe is in the student center. I was hoping to browse the shop and perhaps buy a shirt or other University memorabilia. Unfortunately, the Spider Shop was closed when I arrived so perhaps the shop closes on Sundays. I didn't attend University here but I enjoyed my short visit. In my opinion, the leadership and administration were unprofessional, disorganized, and failed to provide the quality education students paid for. Instead of processing my degree, their broken automated system flagged my file as "Ineligible" over a major elective slot that I have already completed.Their office hours are terrible and advisors take forever to answer emails. It is completely exhausting to do all the hard coursework just to be held back by administrative incompetence at the finish line. If you want a school that actually helps you finish on time, go somewhere else.

VCU is a great school, and used to be one of my top Rivals when I was a student. There are some good food options and some great nightlife in the surrounding areas. You absolutely have to drive out to Bosna Cafe for the really best stuff - so make sure you do if you go to school here. Order Cevapi, and the Goulash. Other than that, there are lots of pretty people here - and I was very happy to spend the night in the dorm room of a lovely VCU student not so long ago. It was after the night of oen of my Richmond concerts, and we had a lot of fun, and I'll leave it there. I like staying in random girl's bedrooms. Who wouldn't? Well maybe you wouldn't. But I do.

We took the opportunity after the game to visit the college of engineering. We wanted to give our son a first hand look of this part of the campus, if he chose to pick this school. Being able to walk the campus with an unassisted tour allowed us to form our own opinions instead of someone telling us what they want us to hear. Grant it, there is a huge benefit of taking a guided tour of schools, but we did this completely spirit of the moment. The school was very clean, they had a east and west building. We visited one of the buildings and just walked through and looked in rooms, read signs. The building was very very neat, and we saw students studying in their Saturday classes. It wasn't too busy not to mention we were careful not to disrupt anyone but it was interesting to see on our own. Wherever my son selects to go I am sure it will be his choice and we will back him 100%. Until then this is a great campus in the city of Richmond and I am glad we was able to see it.
