Such good service. So many options. So many things to look at. Just such a great place. The little shops inside are fire. 10/10

If I ever make the leap to living in a small town, Viroqua will get serious consideration just so I can shop at the co-op and enjoy all the wonderful seasonal and local foods. Many are fully organic too, and almost none are overpriced- generally cheap by city standards anyway. They have a great little dine in section up front that's easy to miss- go ahead and grab some hot food from the food bar, or a good cup of coffee at the coffee bar, and have a seat and eavesdrop on the locals. You'll likely hear interesting talk of organic farming, land stewardship, local politics and the like. The store itself is pretty big, with a very well packaged and put together feel- it feels like shopping at a chain supermarket in all the good ways, but none of the bad. Over at the hot food station the soups are labeled with a color tag indicating ingredients- looks just like what you'd find at WF or TJ's... except for the final ingredient listed here that they'll never have- a heart! _ _ / \/ \ \ / \ / \ / \/ If whole foods got a soul and had a true purpose beyond increasing shareholder value, I bet it'd want to become just like the Viroqua Food Co-op.

What's better than having an organic store in your town. Nothing! Wish we had one of these in Green Bay. What a lovely store with so many choices. Beautiful produce, cheeses, deli, so many choices...we even loved that there is a greenhouse out front....beautiful plants. Also found organic items that I can't find at Woodmans in Green Bay. Viroqua is lucky to have such a store. I even found a LaCrosse Beer from Pearl Street Brewery called Deux Decadence that I really enjoy.

Great spot to buy organic food. It's well organized and I like that they highlight local food. Check it out!

Ditto on what everyone else has said, plus: they have a solid selection of local craft beers. All co-ops should be this rocking.

We love visiting food co-ops when we travel, so we stopped at the Viroqua Co-op on Monday AND Tuesday when we were in the area.

It says a lot about variety of products and many different health issues they aide. Fantastic place for vitamins or teas. When I was pregnant they had plenty of options for supplements that really helped, and the staff member was very knowledgeable and great in assisting which products might be beneficial. They also have quality foods, including refrigerated items, that a lot of vegans say good things about. The spacey new store layout is very airy and products well-labeled. Extremely well- lit with natural sunlight. The only downside is the street parking and it being a little too pricey to visit on a regular basis (at least for myself). That aside, still great for quality specialty items. Stop in and check it out for yourself.

Relaxed and clean environment. John whom I believe either owns the store or manages it was engaging and welcoming. I let him know I was fairly new to the area and he was helpful in giving me the information I asked for regarding natural health care providers in the area. Three years outside of the Covid scare we can see how a lot of the mandates that were put in place by the professionals were not necessary nor helpful. The past negative reviews for this place are made based on those individual's beliefs in regards to masking. A quick search led us to the co-op. Their website has the daily menu posted which was extremely helpful (and tantalizing!) Their hours were reasonable given the season and the options plentiful. Both days of chilly, cold climbing ended with trips to the co-op for fresh organic veggies, fruit, as well as chocolate and snacks. But also with a HOT MEAL which was so appreciated by us. We took everything to our hotel room and feasted. Everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly and wonderful. The kitchen space (which was open and visible) was clean, organized and smelled great. The soups were awesome also and the leftovers from the day prior were available to take home and heat (so we were able to try one we thought we missed from the day prior - lucky us!) We enjoyed everything and love the prepackaged salads and desserts as well as the mains. The whole place was easy to navigate and had wonderful options. We know we have a good option for healthy, organic, and plant-based food during our next visit to Winona to climb which we are already looking forward to. Kudos to the staff of this co-op and to the community for supporting such a wonderful establishment. Winona is an impressive little community that should continue to support the outdoor activities year round it can host. We were glad to bring our dollars and our business to the community thanks to the folks running the ice climbing park and this awesome co-op.
