On May 17th, I was transported via ambulance to Marlton Virtua Hospital. Jeremiah and Morgan were the EMTS or Paramedics. I was not well so I am not sure their title . They were terrific. I was scared and sick. When they came to my house,my pup was barking with all the visitors. They didn't blink and he is a big guy. By the time they got me in the ambulance, they had calmed Wilson too. The thing is, they didn't just transport me and dump me off t the hospital. They stayed with me till the Emergency Nurse came to take over. This helped. It's hard to be alone when you are not well.. I appreciated their care and kindness. Then the RN, I think Tiara? Began her professional attentive care calmed me. When you can't breath it creates fear and she was quick to give me care. Jade was already waiting to do a chest x-ray and was as kind as could be. They don't want you to drink anything, when you first arrive till they determine your care. But when you are struggling to breathe you become very uncomfortably dry. My Nurse gave me a sponge wipe for my lips. It sounds small but it so was not. Dr. Sing was terrific and efficient. Answered my questions and admitted me to the hospital. I was eligible for hospital at home because I am a senior . An excellent choice. I had been in this program before. I have asthma that can get out of control and they have been able to stabilize me before. The care you can get at home without being in the hospital is a big plus. A virtual doctor visit every day and 2 RN visits give you the support that you need without the trauma of being hospitalized. The Doctors were fantastic. I can't remember all their names but I do remember a Dr Leu and Dr Malek. There were 2 others and I am sorry I cant remember their names. The Doctors did not just give me medical directives, they partnered with me and planned with me. Very noble. Thank you. My Nurses, Christine, Michael, Joe, Sarah and Emily, all very thorough and compassionate. Even the couriers who delivered needed medicine, equipment and even food were prompt friendly and professional. I am feeling better and those partners are the reason why. Wilson Cheese made a bunch new friends. It's nice when the folks are caring for you, accept and understand your extended family. Thanks to you all. read more

I came to emergency room with severe pain in my lower right back under my rib cage and difficulty taking a deep breath. i thought i might be having a female version of a heart attack. They immediately took my info and Nurse Tim immediately did an EKG. After a short wait they did a chest x-ray, Cat scan, bloodwork. They saw a blood clot in lower right lung. Admitted me and probably saved my life. The 2nd floor PCU unit nurses Colline,Megan,Bria were so attentive, kind, and helpful. They are really kind people who care. Julia the phlebotomist was so gentle taking blood, she even gently squeezed my hand after to comfort me because she took almost 5 vials of blood. Mel the tech was sweet. The housekeepng people were also kind and made sure each morning the room was cleaned and mopped and told me be careful until it dryed. The dietary knew immediately to hold the salt in my diet and reminded me each day. Sarah the echotechnologist was super sweet and through. Rachel the ultrasound tech was kind and nicely conversational.Dr David and Dr Fisher were very kind and thorough and available.. Dr Shiff the pulmonologist was so thorough, intelligent and answered thoroughly all my many questions. i can't say enough good about the staff here. I have been here several times with my adult daughter for psychiatric care. Psych patients are basically ignored. Medication lists are not even entered into a computer so that the facility she is transferred to has a proper list of meds. There is no concern by doctors or nurses that a medical condition could also actually be occurring. Only telepsych is available. A psych patient would be cared for the same just waiting in the parking lot. They can and should do better. This ER unacceptable for psych care completely. read more

I came to this Virtua location for lab work with a 10:00 a.m. appointment, expecting a quick visit. Instead, I arrived at 9:50 and wasn't called to register until after 10:15. The receptionist even walked away mid check-in to handle another patient, later blaming the delay on "training." By 10:35, I asked if I'd be taken back soon since I needed to leave to pick up my son. Her response was dismissive and unprofessional -- she told me that having an appointment doesn't mean I'd be seen at that time and even asked if I wanted to come back later. After already waiting 45 minutes, that suggestion was beyond inconvenient. I was finally called back at 10:50. The front desk staff were rude, disorganized, and clearly overwhelmed. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that respects your time and treats patients with basic courtesy. read more

I recently had an emergency room visit with Dr. Baksi. I went in worried about a medical situation (hernia) that turned out to be minor (small abscess), but Dr. Baksi took his time explaining everything to me and didn't make me feel silly for coming to the ER for something that turned out to be so superficial. He was so kind, caring, patient and gentle. He took his time explaining things to make sure I understood. I'm so glad to have been a patient of his, as I was very anxious when I visited the ER. He has excellent bedside manner and didn't rush through my visit, which is too often the case in ER settings. I left feeling relieved and supported due to the positive experience Dr. Baksi and his medical team provided me at Virtua ER. I'm waiting to receive an after visit review prompt from Virtua so that I can also leave him and his medical team a positive review there as well. read more

Visited my primary care provider on 3/4. Received an alarming call from her, indicating that my iron levels were low. Advised to go the emergency room asap. Visited Virtua of Marlton on 3/6. Waited over 2 hours in the ER. ER doctor stated I could be bleeding internally and I needed a blood transfusion asap. Declined. Given iron IV instead. No effect, so ER doctor admitted me, w this claim of me bleeding internally. I had zero signs of blood loss. Stayed, convinced I was bleeding internally, w no other options, given blood transfusion. Raised my iron levels 1 level higher. Gastroenterologist advised me to have a colonoscopy, w zero signs of blood loss, but he said he off for the weekend, so he would do it on Monday, so no rush on his part for someone he just advised was bleeding internally. Skeptical, checked myself out. Received my EOB. One weekend stay, billed $31,515.34 Be cautious, Virtua is a scam!!!! read more

I've had nothing but glowing reviews about my care at Virtua Marlton. That is until bringing my service dog to my bedside. Now I feel targeted and discriminated against. My team tonight has been calling my service dog who is my eyes due to my right eye blindness a "threat." We've been in a car accident together, he has been in my room asleep next to me. read more

My dad was sent here multiple times during his pancreatic cancer journey from January 2025-May 2025. He had many issues addressed including a billiary duct placement, GI bleed and infections associated with these conditions. The nurses were amazing. The doctors gave us the sense that he was dead on arrival. They seemed to do the minimum to get him out of there and not positively contribute to his quality of life (I could give an exhaustive list of specific instances) As a healthcare professional myself, I had to strongly advocate for his care here. My mom was left to navigate all of the next steps regarding home care and follow-ups on her own without guidance. He was hospitalized 7x in 4 months and not 1 time did he speak to a social worker. Very sad that this was supposed to be the "experts" for GI issues. read more

I went to Virtua Marlton ER on July 2, 2025, with severe back pain along my spine and a range of neurological symptoms, including brain fog, joint pain, weakness in my arms and legs, spinal tenderness, nausea, and vomiting. My primary care provider instructed me to write down everything I had been experiencing over the past 7 days and take it with me to the ER for further evaluation. Unfortunately, I was dismissed and mischaracterized from the moment I was called back. Despite a medical history that includes prior imaging requiring contrast, Dr. Matthew J. Young ordered a non-contrast CT scan of my abdomen, not my spine. This completely failed to address the symptoms I came in for. Dr. Young said we would evaluate the entire spine which was not true. The documentation in my clinical note was dangerously inaccurate, My gender was misidentified. My symptoms were fabricated stating I denied having some of them at all. This was untrue as I was instructed to write everything I was experiencing down. It was also falsely noted that I "felt better and wanted to go home," when I repeatedly expressed that I was in pain. As someone with autoimmune conditions and a complex health history, I expected at the very least to be heard, taken seriously, and documented accurately. This experience left me physically drained and emotionally defeated. I'm sharing this to speak up not just for myself, but for others who may be dismissed because their symptoms don't follow a "textbook" pattern. Patients deserve better. read more

As soon as I came in the office space was nice and clean. Adela drew my blood so quickly. It was great as someone who is scared of needles. She was super nice and her quality of care when she saw I was nervous so she tried to distract me which i appreciated. It literally took 5 minutes maybe less than that and didn't hurt at all. If u don't mind waiting at least 4hrs in the lobby and having people called before u but came after, 2hrs in triage, then 1.5hrs just to get a copy of the X-rays it's actually ridiculous this place is run by people who don't care or just aren't trained properly walked in with back pain and walked out with ibuprofen which I guess Dr Matthew Young thought that would be the proper medicine to give like I hadn't thought about that the 5 days I've been dealing with this back pain from a car accident read more

The only reasons why I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 are the reception staff is very nice and efficient, and I had a positive experience with the lab in the past. This time though, I had a lab technician who seemed more interested in her phone than taking care of me. Her phone kept pinging during the procedure. I get nervous around needles, but she seemed very cold and didn't seem to care about my mental state. She only gave one or two word responses to my questions, and barely did anything to make me feel comfortable, except telling me how to recline the chair. I almost feel like I'm being a burden because she actually has to do her job. I'm disheartened my usual techs were transferred somewhere else because they made every effort to make me feel comfortable. Next time my doctor orders lab work, I'm going to elsewhere, because this is not the level of care I expect when I go in for any healthcare service. read more

My total experience was outstanding. I was an outpatient for a Flexible Bronchoscopy (a biopsy). The office staff was efficient and pleasant. The nursing staff again was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, caring and efficient. Both the anesthesialogist and my suergeon were great. They took their time to explain each step in the procdure and showed their human side in addition to their professional side talking with me. I would recommend Virtua hospital to anone who needs hospital services. read more

On 7/11/ 23 I was a patient in the Virtua ER and had my drivers license credit card cash medication and cell phone stolen from my purse by nurses and staff members while having a MRI exam. The staff insisted on a MRI then refused to allow me to secure my personal belongings in a radiology locker. During the exam they stole the contents of my purse. I do not recommend any individual seek or receive medical care at a facility where staff intentionally expose you to unnecessary radiation in order to steal your personal property. Virtua is negligent, harmful, and dangerous at best. read more

I had an awful experience at the Virtua Marlton E.R. 2 nights ago. First the security guard and front receptionist were very nice and my negative experience has nothing to do with them. The triage nurse was rather curt and not personable at all, however she couldve been worse. I waited in the E.R. for 2 and 1/2 hours before seeing a single nurse or Dr which made sense later on when I was told there was only 1 Dr and 2 nurses for the entire night. When the nurse came in to me room, she insisted on me taking off my shirt to put on the gown with the curtain to the room open. When asked to close it, first she caught an attitude with me then got annoyed with the curtain (it was too small to cover the doorway), and then again insisted I change with the curtain not fully closed in order to receive treatment. After changing, she took my blood pressure. The first time, she put the cuff partially over my elbow. The second time (shocking she had to redo it), my blood pressure was up. I dont normally have high blood but with my being in pain, worrying about the issue I was there for and then this nurse, I was anxious. As she was taking my blood pressure, the cuff was squeezing way too tight for me. I take pain well and have had many breaks, torn ligaments, torn muscles etc. but this was too much. When I told her it was hurting too much, she manually tightened the cuff and proceeded with the blood pressure again. Once it was too much for me, I took off the cuff and apologized. She then said my blood pressure was too high (the machine hadnt finished taking it), and once again put the cuff back on my forearm. She then said my blood pressure was too high, that she'd have to retake it and then she left. 20 minutes I sat there still connected to the blood pressure machine and the pulsox with my gown falling off my shoulders, in front of an open curtain. At that point I unhooked myself, got dressed, and left. The hospital itself might be great but the E.R. department (as far as overnight) is TERRIBLE! Silver lining, after I left I went to Jefferson in Stratford and they were all AWESOME! In less than an hour of me getting there, I was triaged, seen by a sweet nurse and a great Dr, diagnosed and treated AND had my blood pressure checked which was 'normal'. read more

This has to be the worst experience I ever had with my husband being in the hospital. First, he was there with COVID. One nurse that he had was Sarah, who tried to talk me into letting him go or letting him go to Hospice. Then, she had her boss, Anthony, call me, who tried to make me let him go in peace. I called the Doctor and he was LIVID. He said "They are NOT the doctor!" Well, Guess What? My husband RECOVERED. Now, he is in there again because he needed a wound closed up (he is an amputee). He is doing well. I got a nurse on the phone this morning named Vickie. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. She said, "What do you mean? Yes, he ate! What do you mean about his wound? I guess it looks okay to me!!!" She was VERY rude and dismissive. By the way, I didn't want him sent back to Marlton, EVER, but he had to go there from Voorhees because they didn't perform that kind of surgery there. After this, he will return to the Rehab, where he was happy. I reported all of this to the Director of Nursing and I even wrote a letter to the President of Virtua, Marlton. No response as yet. I can be a bit queer at times but I am passionate and when I like/love something - I REALLY like/love it! After I was registered by super sweet Mariann for my ultrasound, I waited for less than 5 minutes to be taken back for the actual test. Delia was the tech and explained the test to me as we walked through the long halls. As we were on our way, I felt such pride that Virtua is my employer and we are like this awesome clique of lucky people. The u/s went by quickly and of course we blabbed while Delia was 'checking me out.' This location isn't as HUMONGOUS at the Voorhees one and you can get in and out pretty quickly. I got my results the NEXT DAY, via my Virtua (are you getting the theme?!) PCP. Great health care system and we truly live the credo - I say this first hand! read more

Both my husband and myself wound up in the hospital at the same time for RSV virus/pneumonia. He is a hospital regular (7 times this year), and I have never been in hospital. We both received excellent, care. Food service was timely, and removed promptly. Rooms clean. Nurses excellent. Aides compassionate. Just wanted to say what a positive experience I had at this location!! I am not a fan of most hospitals these days and I don't have much faith in them either or the ER doctors. But, I must say I had to make a quick decision last evening. I had to take my husband and I decided " well, I haven't tried marlton" so, that's where I ended up. The triage nurse Troy was OUTSTANDING! What compassion and empathy she showed us last night He has an awesome personality and truly loves his job I want to thank him so much and for keeping us posted on the delay and that we were going to be taken back soon. Our nurse in the back (once we finally got there) Mickey was OUTSTANDING as well!! Super personality and made us feel so at ease These two nurses need to be recognized and that they are an asset to your hospital Dr Polansky was our physician and was kind and compassionate to us. No one ever wants to visit an ER but, if I have to I will pick this one hands down Thank you everyone read more

This has to be the laziest most unprofessional emergency department in the medical field. The doctor that was on was completely incompetent and unprofessional in all aspects. I had a brief procedure completed here and everything went very smoothly. Virtua Marlton is a small hospital but very easy to navigate. I was greeted in the lobby by a nurse working in the endo lab who personally escorted me to the endoscopy suite. I get super anxious when anesthesia is involved but the staff (and a little bit of chemical assistance) put me at ease. The procedure thankfully went smoothly and I'm back to myself. I appreciate the thoroughness and organization of everyone in the Virtua system, I much prefer it to everything we have going on on my side of the river! read more

Crazy nurses put out an inappropriate report on my health from another patient checked in from the day before. The physician in charge !!! Thankfully!! caught the mistake after asking me, and my husband questions, as well as checking in with other physicians I've seen for my problem. BEWARE OF THE NURSES! 10/24/23 The worst hospital EVER!! had me and my child in the waiting area for 5 hours !!! while he ran fevers back to back! when we finally get to the back into a room we waited 4 more hours. My son did not seek any medical attention from nurses nor the doctor! I talked to about 3 different nurses that was on shift asking when was my son going to be seen. I got the same answer each time ! Everyone had attitudes. The nurses sat around laughing and talking loudy instead of making sure their patients was ok!!! I left after being in that hospital for a total of 9 hours. Within 9 hours My child still was Never been seen. No one did anything to help he could of been dying they Didnt care !!!!! they need to be shut down !!! Hated the whole experience! read more

Laboratory registration with Leslie went smoothly and quickly. Very little wait time. Phlebotomist, Eunika, listened to my needs and used a butterfly needle to get blood from my hand vein. 3 tubes of blood collected very quickly and I was home in no time!! read more

I have noticed with Covid, the quality of care of hospitals has seemed to diminish. I went to the Virtua Marlton ER because the wait time was less than the rest. Usually, they are superior on service. I went in with upper abdominal pain and fullness and headache with some tingling. When I got there, I was checked in and sat in the waiting room. There were only two other people there waiting. It was at least two hours before I got my vitals done. And people that had come in after me had already been called back. I finally get called back and honestly, it felt we were being shuffled like cattle. My BP was through the roof and I hadn't eaten (nerves) so my headache was getting worse. They did a urinalysis and then put me back into the waiting room to wait. All the meanwhile, I can't have my husband wait with me and I'm getting anxious just sitting by myself. Luckily, the security guard let me go in and out to see him in the car a few times. I think that gentleman was the only bright spot in this ER. I didn't like how most of us seemed to get lower and lower on the priority scale. An elderly woman needed a cat scan and by the time I left, was still waiting for a tech to come get her. Another woman was feeling dizzy and lightheaded and said she was diabetic, and was left waiting. Yet, a young boy who had sprained his ankle was called back before all of us. An elderly woman walked in from being at another ER for hours, with heart palpitations and high BP and was left in the waiting room with me. It just seemed this ER didn't know how to prioritize patients or had to deal too much with people being sent from other hospitals. I ended up leaving because I had already been there 6 hours and finally got an appointment with my PCP. I just broke down and cried. This was the third ER I tried to get into only to be left waiting. I do sympathize with doctors and nurses and what they have to deal with, but seeing how some patients with less emergencies were seen before the rest of us, I was heartbroken and angry. read more

I can't thank you enough for taking care of my husband with his infection. The doctors, nurses, techs, dietary, social worker treated him with the utmost dignity and respect. I like to mention Dr. Bach for calling to update me. The nurse Raelle, Shane, Mark, Denise. Miquel in dietary bows down to show his respect and the other dietary workers were fantastic. The whole team in your hospital is on the ball. I would be writing for days to mention all the positive details. Tate in transport and all the rest are excellent. I was really down a couple of months ago and I was talking to a 92 yr old gentleman about how he keeps his cool when you are outraged. I was outraged about the care my Mom received at the Savannah Memorial hospital and Pruitt in Savannah Ga. He taught me a lesson. He said he doesn't argue with people and he just wanted to be treated with respect, kindness and dignity. He was in WW 1 and he said at times he would just walk away when he was outraged. That is so difficult for me. I have to open my mouth and give you everything back and then some to get it off my chest. Your whole team was so kind and great to my husband. If you want great care and to be treated with kindness, respect and dignity that starts at the door with the staff welcoming you in come here. You are the best in South Jersey.
