This time we reserved for noon today, when the business is listed open, and when we were able to reserve the VR stations for, but no one showed. We can 10 minutes early like asked after booking, waited and called and no one. So be careful assuming a reservation means you'll get to play.

Lots to do for little ones. For a fee, kids can use the small bright play structure (easy to supervise the whole space from behind the mesh boundary). The fee includes admission to the small trampoline area. With that said it wasnt crowded even on a Friday night. A staff member stands outside of this play structure and trampoline to ensure you have a wrist band which proves you have paid. He opens and closes the gate for kids to enter and exit. A selection of arcade games - some with you tickets to redeem for prizes and some just your standard video arcade game. Typical selection of prizes. The Chuck E Cheese mascot comes out every hour, for a dance party. He walks around holding up a sign that reads "follow me" and leads you to the centre for a party. There is an interactive dance floor where this takes place and a large screen from which you learn the dance moves. Chuck -E can definately use some more pep in his step. He wasnt enthusiastic (at least at this location) at all. In fact of all the staff, I only observed one (the one leading the birthday party) to be friendly and enthusiastic. The rest of the staff were either too serious for a kids play place, unenthusiastic, not very friendly, some even strict. As I was wacthing my kids play in the play structure, I repeatedlyheard what looked like someone from management checking in with the staff member manning the play structure saying things along the lines of "make sure they have a wrist band". Right away, you could smell disinfectant which was exciting. Last time I went to an American Chuck E Cheese and I got a horrible bacterial infection that needed antibiotics. Staff were super friendly from the get-go, asking us for a selfie of our group for safety. That's the selfie you show on the way out so you're leaving with your same party members. My only suggestion about this is that the location provides a branded selfie wall or something so you still have a good picture! Used coupons to save on 2 1-hour passes and then a 1 hour pass for myself (separate transactions). Enjoyed the play time being by time and not by credits. Kids had a great experience and I saw a staff member disinfecting game machines while we were there. Very pleasant place to come while on our second week of BC March Break.

What to do with your kids during the pandemic? Pickering village museum has hosted a slew of…read moreprograms and one that caught our eyes was this fairy garden/home tours. It was reservation based and everything was set up outdoors with mask mandate in place. We opted for a night slot so we could see the lights better but when we got there, it was such a cold night that we had hard time seeing the fairy homes through our fogged up glasses. Nonetheless, what we could see was magical and beautiful. The tour is self guided using a pre-recorded narration on a device provided by the museum. They also supply you with a map and a stamp card which you can stamp at each fairy house you visit. It was a great fun for my daughter to find these stamps at each fairy houses. Once you find all the stamps, the little ones get a small surprise which was a nice touch! I think we would like to try for a day time tour next year so we can spend more time observing the houses in the daylight.

Unfortunately they charge to enter on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so if you want to come by for free you should definitely come on the weekdays. It's outdoors, in the freezing cold... They have a ton of food vendors, a section just for alcohol, some cute photo-taking areas and lots and lots of sparkly lights. I see the same food stalls every year, actually, and they're in the same location. Some good stuff: gigantic turkey legs (for photos!), sausages, drinking chocolate, and free food samples from campbells. You can also browse through the stores inside, I like to duck in them to provide some warmth for my freezing feet.

It's a very small jungle gym and trampoline that is great for under 4-5 years old. The arcade is pushed to the front half of the facility, then the middle is the car ride amusement that only fits toddlers. They do a great at birthday parties here, all the stress is done for you. As a kid visiting for just the games, I noticed some games were out of order but still lit up so kids would try to tap and play. Also noticed the point counters were off on many games and did not properly register the wins and just give the standard one ticket win on most machines. This is frustrating for an older kids who are aware but the little ones are blissfully floating from machine to machine, they are not concerned. They are good with entrance security to show proof of kid selfie to enter and exit. Freshly made cotton candy is redeemable for prizes as well 500 tickets or paid the difference.
