I have heard horror stories about 2-4 month wait times for places like from Micro Center so I did a few google searches to find a computer repair shop. I found Sam's Computer Solutions and noticed it had over 100+ 5 Star Google reviews so I gave the shop a call and described my issue. He had flexible and fast availability and I was able to schedule an appointment to drop off my PC within two hours of making the call (the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend). The gentleman who greeted me was friendly, reassuring, and professional. He clearly outlined what options I had, what the price points for each option was, if and how each option would or would not change functionality, and asked which option I'd prefer! He made sure I was comfortable with the pricing before moving forward. It sounded good so I left my PC and he assumed me it was in good hands. I got a text the following Monday morning (A holiday no less) saying my PC was ready to be picked up. The repair cost was exactly the lowest price he had quoted. I made an appointment to pick it up later that afternoon. Upon arrival he described everything he did to fix it (installation of new component, where he wound the additional length of wire if I wish to change the placement of the part, and let me know he dusted everything which I appreciate). I just got home and plugged in my PC and the hardware he installed worked perfectly! I am extremely satisfied with how Sam's Computer Solutions handled me every step of the way from initial phone call to pickup. I can confidently say if you are like me and are not the most tech savvy person, need a computer repair and wish to support a local business I cannot recommend you make use of this service enough! :)

Sam is very knowledgeable and professional. He is focused on solving the problem not running up the bill. He works out of his home so phoning before showing up is necessary for both parties. He doesn't respond to emails or text messages and doesn't keep regular hours, despite the 10am-6pm that he advertises. I tried months ago to get my MacBook repaired with him. I had an appointment nearby that ended around 10am when his shop supposedly opens (as per advertised hours). When I called to tell him I was on my way, he said he wasn't at the shop and told me he works by appointment only and that he works around whatever his client's hours are... After all that, he agreed to meet me so I could drop the computer off for a diagnostic. After looking at it, he told me I needed to purchase speakers, so I asked if I could have the speakers shipped directly to him. He said yes but that I couldn't have them sent to his shop due to construction. So I asked for an address where I could send them and he never responded. Due to his lack of response, I missed my window to order in time to receive them before Labor Day. I didn't want to be without my computer too long, so I asked if I could come the next day around 9am because I had another appointment in the area. He gave me massive attitude claiming all of a sudden that his hours are 10am-6pm despite having clearly told me before that he works around his clients' hours by appointment. At this point, I was thoroughly confused. I went to pick up my laptop and he met me in the parking lot, shoving it into my hands and practically sprinting back to his car. I asked how I should pay the diagnostic fee ($39) and he said I'd just pay it when I got the repair done. Okay whatever. I didn't have time to deal with the repair until 3 months later, especially since I'm almost never on that side of town. I tried emailing him to make arrangements for the repair again and lo and behold - no response. I'm not dealing with this guy anymore. I'm on vacation this week, so this is likely the only chance I'll have to get this repair taken care of for a good long while. So I just made an appointment with the Genius Bar. Really wish we had better options for Mac repairs around here but what can ya do... At least the Apple store knows how to communicate & makes it easy to make an appointment. Geez.

This is not only the most unprofessional private security firm I've ever encountered, but they are…read moredefinitely an additional danger to the peace and safety of those they are contractually bound to protect. Earlier this year I was the *victim* of several heartbreaking incidents of domestic violence. Time and time again Garver personnel made me feel as though I were somehow in the wrong though I was uncontrovertibly the victim in every act, never the aggressor, revictimizing me anew each time I would need their assistance. (They must have taken a page out of the CPD's handbook as far as that goes.) The situation deteriorated to the point that security guards said they would not even respond if called again about such an incident. (Not that they usually came in a terribly timely manner anyway, or that they bothered to come at all each time there was a life-threatening emergency.) Yet when this same person assailant allegedly assaulted one of a security guard also, strangely Garver did not even bother to press criminal charges; guards just said they would "light him up" when they saw him on the property again, apparently violence and vigilantism are the preferred problem resolution method of this rogue band of "protectors," rather than seeking resolution of the problem within the constraints of our judicial system. Garver Asset Protection employees soon after used derogatory language involving sexual orientation, echoing over their loud radios across the parking lot of a gas station they had no business loitering around instead of their post, and somehow found it appropriate to make "a joke" about religion then repeat it when it was not well received. They didn't even bother to notify the actual police when they witnessed a hit and run while I was reporting being robbed at gunpoint in my under-lit parking lot. To top it off, guards just maliciously had my vehicle towed after harassing me for a few days about it. I had the misfortune of getting a couple tires flattened when I ran over collision debris that had not yet been blocked off or removed. My vehicle had only been sitting in my parking lot a few days while another car in the very same parking lot has been sitting on all flat tires for nearly -- if not more than -- a full year. This egregious conduct by people in such a position of trust and authority is a clear violation of my civil rights and encroachment on my basic dignity as a human being. I would not recommend this company to anyone, for anything. It's troubling to think that these people are allowed to carry guns.
