He talked bad about other contractors that come out and do not fulfill the job and just want the service fee. Well, I guess he is one of them! He took my service fee and then NEVER communicated again. I sent 2 text message that he asked for and left a voicemail. Unfortunately due to timing I did have to go with another provider (mistake on my part) for the install of my garbage disposal but I would absolutely work with Houston in the future. I was connected with Houston through my home warranty. (Choice home warranty). He is one of only 2 providers I'd ever use through them again. Would trust him completely with repairs. read more

We had a problem with low air flow in our old HVAC system, so we bought a new unit. The airflow wasn't much better with the new one, and we suspected a leak in the ductwork was the problem. I also had increasingly more and more dust in the house. We called Virtue Handyman and Houston went under the house and found multiple holes ripped in the ductwork from mice. We had no idea! Houston and his assistant, Roger, totally replaced our entire ductwork in the crawlspace and rerouted the old, wasteful, maze-like ducting into a more efficient, tight system. They cleaned out all of the rodent damage and old insulation out of our crawl space and sealed all of the entryways the mice were using. They even made a cover for an unenclosed crawl opening with no door under our deck that we didn't know about. Houston was reliable, trustworthy, and did everything he said he would do, with extremely reasonable pricing. Very friendly, great communication, knowledgeable and capable. We have some future jobs that we have coming up and he's going to be the first call we make if we need anything. He also does renovations, and I've seen his work ethic and quality and would definitely have him do a renovation I have in mind in the future as well. read more
