The plan was to travel from Toronto to Cairo with Turkish Airlines then from Cairo to Malaga with Air Maroc. However, Emil from Sun-Ray charged me extra fees that I wasn't made aware of. Once all airports were closed due to Covid, I asked him for a refund and he told me I'd get it in a year or two. I took matters into my own hands and called Turkish Airlines. They paid me back with a small fee. When it comes to Air Maroc, he said that they do not pay but instead I have a voucher to use. What's strange is I don't have the ability to use this voucher from just anywhere. They mainly fly out from Montreal. I went to Montreal to their head office and found out that Emil never asked for a monetary return because of the extra fees that he charged me. After a hassle with him, he finally requested the money back (he paid them with a check even though I paid with a credit card). Since I spoke directly with Air Maroc, he paid me but not the full amount. I have no idea why he's holding it. Air Maroc has told me it's not a fee even though he claims it is. He got his cut already and is trying to make extra money! I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now and still have not received a response from him. He has ignored all my calls. If you want trouble, book here. I highly do not recommend it. I had to take matter in my own hands!

He took the photo, printed out 2 copies, stamped the backs, and wrote a receipt. CASH ONLY, and the passport photos cost $12 total which I thought was an excellent deal for on the spot. The photos he took were accepted immediately and without question by the Passport Canada office, which is worth much for than $12. If you have ever had a passport photo taken only to be told something is not quite right, you know the benefit of having an experienced photographer take a photo devoid of emotions and then scale/crop/print to the exacting measurements they require. It appears that a large portion of his business model is for retouching old and damaged photos. Basically a professional Photoshopper. I didn't use him for this service, but I do lots of Adobe Photoshop work and his retouches looked pretty good. He had a few certificates apparently for awards. But for passport photos, he is cheap, knowledgeable, and just a nice dude.

I didn't have my passport with me during my first visit, so I was handed a form to fill out on my return. Once I returned with my passport and filled out form, they scanned my passport and verified the information on the form and provided a voucher for the Japan Rail Pass (it has to be exchanged for a pass in Japan). The travel agent provided addresses of various locations where the vouchers can be exchanged and also provided information about which lines the pass is not valid on. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The travel agents were friendly and efficient.
