We are still receiving compliments to this day. The equipment sounded crystal clear. The wedding music was important because my husband's family is Arabic but our friends are not. As the Bride to Be my biggest fear was no one was going to dance. They took care of those fears by properly reading the crowd. There was NO time during the entire reception that the dance floor was empty. Ideal Events successfully got every single person on the dance floor at some point in the night and the dance floor was full of people all night. I personally had a blast at my wedding and our DJ was a HUGE part in that. From the beginning of the planning process they were there and completely professional. They initially met with us at a possible wedding venue and we briefly discussed music. I then sent a must play/do not play list. My husband and I tend to favor rock music, which you cannot dance to so we decided to play specific music choices during cocktails and reception. They met with us again to go over all the music choices I sent and offer suggestions. We received a contract and questionnaire promptly after the first meet, which asked basic questions as well as our music preference and favorite bands and genres. When we finally decided on a venue they met us there again to speak with the venue about setup details and to check the space out. After scoping the joint out we sat for a while and went over the music choices we sent for the specific wedding moments. For the dancing part of the reception we gave some Arabic music and left the rest up to him. We met a final time a few days before the wedding where we dropped more Arabic music off on him in case we needed it to get people moving (which he didn't 'cause he's awesome) and to change our reception entrance song. They had the entire wedding time lined and typed out, which he shared with all our other wedding vendors. He communicated with the Pastor, the photographer, and the videographer so everyone was in place for all the special moments. They also made sure to phonetically write out everyone's names to ensure proper pronunciation. During the ceremony our DJ was perfectly on time with the bridal party, bride's entrance, sand ceremony, and the couple's exits. During the night of the wedding the DJ continued to surprise us by dropping some of our favorite genres and bands in the mix in such a way it made our night, surprised the guests, and got the party hoppin' He used the questionnaire he originally sent us to get a proper feel for our personal musical taste. Which was fantastic because the hubby and I figured we would have to cater to the mostly Arabic crowd to get people on the dance floor. Getting to hear the golden oldies mixed, current pop, ghetto rap, Metallica, old school freestyle, and Arabic dance music all in one night mixed so seamlessly had everyone amazed but most of all my husband and I were able to enjoy the dancing all night also. First of all, the guys who run it are young, very personable, and know their stuff. Now, I have to admit, I know both of them but believe me, if they stunk, I wouldn't take the time to write anything and just smile and nod and be on my way. I write enough reviews that I can remain unbiased, regardless of existing friendships. Now, getting away from my disclaimer, the booth isn't your traditional small, stuffy, box that you have to contort your body to fit into. You don't get a strip of tiny pics that shoot out of a hole and when you look at them you finally discover you're not even in half of them. It's some cool backdrops (like at a movie premier) that you stand in front of to get your pic taken. This means you can pack in as many people as you'd like, which makes it more fun. And the fact that you hold the controls, and can preview your pics right away, guarantees you'll find a few shapshots you like.
