The photos we recieved were nothing like what we requested or what was depicted regarding examples of his work on Yelp. In his defense, it was a gloomy autumn day but he did not anticipate the poor lighting nor did he bring any specialty equipment such as using a light reflector or flash boxes to improve lighting. After reaching out to see if the photos could be improved with editing, he became very defensive and unwilling to help. He arrived 20 minutes late, and complained about being ill the entire shoot. My daughter's face was partly obstructed in one of the photos which was the only photo sent of that style. I wanted to try and find a way, through editing, to improve the photos but again, the photographer was unwilling to help. I don't recommend his services for senior photos.

She brought everything that was needed and made the experience so enjoyable! The mini session was quick, about 15 minutes, which is exactly the amount of time my young children could focus. It was a very organic shoot. We didn't feel pressured or rushed, nor did we feel "cheesy" like in other photo shoots. She took a lot of candid photos that were not staged. My kids sort of took the lead and she followed suit, playing with them while taking photos. It was a great experience and we were so pleased with our photos!

First, Chris' website has two of the most crucial elements: pricing and portfolio. I could see the quality of work I was going to get and how much I was going to pay for it. Sold. Second, I submitted an inquiry via Chris' website and got a very fast (less than half an hour, I believe) callback to schedule a time. He was very accommodating with my schedule and quick to answer my questions. After the session, the quick processing turnaround time and easy access to the photos was much appreciated. One aspect I really enjoyed was that Chris really gets to know people he's photographing for corporate shots (this probably extends to weddings, etc. I'd imagine). Their profession, how they want to come across, the kind of attitude they want to express, etc. He can then instruct and guide you so that you have the best experience possible. Chris was very efficient in bringing out my best qualities, which really speaks to his experience. Noreen and her team were amazing! This session was for our 3 kids ages 14-17 and we brought our 2…read moredogs. Noreen and her team engaged wonderfully with each of our very different kids and treated our dogs like little princesses! They were careful with the dogs, provided water bowls and a bowl for the food we brought. They were incredibly hospitable to us and fun-loving with our 3 teens. This session was part of their Who AM I Program, focused on increasing confidence and self-esteem by highlighting the kids' special interests, character traits and what makes eqch of them special. It included questionnaires we had sent to teachers, youth pastor and friends which were integrated into a video montage highlighting the "things loved most" or "the funniest thing about" each kiddo. Our family laughed hilariously at several moments throughout the afternoon and she'd a tear or two at several touching moments. My husband was reluctant to spend the amount of money we did on a photo shoot. But this was more than a photo shoot. It truly was/is an investment into my kids. I want eqch of them to look back on this experience, see the statements their friends, teachers, youth pastor (and parents!) made about what makes them amazing...see themselves dressed up, holding beloved pets that have defined their childhood...who won't always be with us...and say some day, "Wow. Based on the reviews that had been posted, I made an appointment to get a headshot done. Kuwan was…read morenot in Southfield, as stated on the website. I traveled to Troy for the session. I explicitly talked about the image I wanted to portray, During the shooting session, he told me to squinch my eyes to make my smile look genuine. I actually have a genuine smile, but I complied. I also showed him an image that was taken 5 years ago that I liked. At the end of the session, he told me that he wanted me to see how he finished a headshot to give it a professional edge. He picked an image from the session. It was not the image I chose. When he emailed the image three weeks later, I told him that I did not approve of the touchup. I instructed that when he touched up the chosen image to leave my eyebrows alone. His touchup showed a highly arched brow that did not extend to the outer brow bone. The eyes were squinched, making them appear irritated and the makeup was heavy. I didn't hear from Kuwan for a couple of months after he told me that my brows weren't even. When I finally contacted him again, it took a couple of weeks more for him to get back in touch. The first image he sent back was the same one that I had not chosen and had issues with. I contacted him by phone and asked if he even knew which image I had chosen. He told me how to go back to the website and choose the image. A week later he sent an untouched head shot with red eyes. He said he only did a minimal job because I had complained about the heavy makeup. This was not the professional job I was expecting for $150. I will call American Express to get my fee returned. I have the photos to prove this sham of a professional photographer.

marcie of pink moon photography captured my hard but redeeming vbac experience from beginning to…read moreend and also did a maternity shoot for us a couple weeks prior to the birth. she is very personable and was such a pleasure to work with. my husband and i were a little leery about having someone we didn't know capturing such an intimate experience. but when i initially spoke to her on the phone i knew she was the right person for the job and meeting her in person before the birth to go over the process put me and my husband totally at ease. marcie documented every emotion of the labor and delivery process. priceless looks exchanged between me and my husband. the support of our doula. joy, exhaustion, pain, setback, perseverance, accomplishment. our daughter crowning and being delivered from my body and placed onto my chest, something i had not had the privilege of experiencing during my first birth. i will forever treasure these moments marcie so beautifully captured that make up my redeeming vbac experience. our maternity photos were taken at the botanical gardens in ann arbor. i love outdoor photos but didn't think they were possible in january in michigan. but marcie informed me the impossible was definitely possible! the greenhouse of the gardens was like a balmy bit of florida in the middle of winter. marcie made this 36 week pregnant mama feeling like a whale look like a goddess! i can't recommend marcie highly enough. i loved working with her and plan to continue to do so in the future.
