make sure when you're trying to get your loved one in a supposedly good snf that you're on your…read morebest behavior and not stressed to the edge because you'll be denied. strange isn't it how they are supposed to be passionate and compassionate about their job, however, if someone calls and is a little impatient trying to find out if their loved one will be approved and has a bipolar day after being a poa for a man i've known for 50+ years, divorced 30, took him from a nursing home in 2008 after he suffered a stroke on each side of his brain at the at of 51, took care of him for 14 years, moved him to an alf in 2021 where he could walk with a walker, had an apt of his own,had a critical condition episode occurred nov. 1, 2025 which changed both of our lives. he was sedated & ventilated 8 days, laid in bed 25 days w/o water, pt, very little care, placed on feeding peg. found acute rehab to get him back to good health. transferred to a snf/rehab facility for part a medicare rehab on 12/12/25. they ignored my poa and did whatever, whenever, they wanted to with him without my permission, therefore i had issues with that and started making complaints. oh and after all that they're stating he allegedly swung at a nurse, however there is no documentation from the nurse what happened...now if i were the don or administrator that'd be the 1st question i'd ask...what happened?they are doing everything they can to keep us from getting in anywhere. and all i'm looking for is somewhere for him to be happy, have someone to converse with, not be lonely, depressed, bored, well taken care of, doted on and he gets denied because i had a hair out of place, i must've had a smudge in my makeup and wrinkle in my clothes all over the telephone because my stress of wanting this and crying and yelling for help but not being understood thats what i was doing denied a good man because of me and my advocating for him! you know what you do all the above for him, you'd never hear a peep out of me and me, hopefully would see my ex husband happy for a change with the exception of when he lived with me and i took care of him for 14 years and my health issues wouldn't allow me to do that any longer! thank you by the way! it's probably divine intervention and a god send you denied him!!

My husband was a resident at Lindan Park for 6 weeks before his death. He entered the facility as…read morea rehab patient, but his care turned to long-term care as his health deteriorated. He received wonderful care at this facility. They watched over his condition and paid special attention as his health declined. He was kept clean and with each new challenge that came along, they were aware of each problem and acted in his best interest. Although he was on a special diet, I observed that the residents had very good food. Across from his room was an activity board that showed all of the interesting activities that were offered to all of the residents. Lindan Park smelled very clean. It did not have the "Nursing Home Odor". As my husband's life was slipping away, the staff was very kind to both my husband and me. When I didn't leave his side, they provided meals for me and were so understanding of my situation. It had not been my intention to put my husband into a nursing home. I kept him at home as long as I could. But, the time came when I could no longer care for him. I'm so thankful that Linda Park was there to do for him what I could not. Our mother was very gently taken care of by all of the staff. Everyone at Accord was respectful and did everything needed to make our mom comfortable. I really cannot say enough about the level and care and support provided for my mom and the entire family. I highly recommend Accord to anyone looking the VERY BEST in Palliative and Hospice care for their loved one. It was the best decision ever, and Accord was suggested from a dear friend who had used them. PLEASE DO NOT PASS UP A CHANCE TO WORK WITH Accord. They are exemplary!!!

We brought her home that weekend and the loving and caring staff not only got her comfortable but more importantly, she had a series of falls the last few months before this hospital visit, so she had not walked for almost 8 months. She was started on some muscle strengthening exercises, given some tender love and care, and not only did she make it through the weekend, but she walked about a month later for the first time in a long time, and lived almost 7 months after receiving such initial devastating news. The one thing I want people to know is they were robbed three separate times. After the first time they replaced what they could. They made a report to the police but beyond that Brookdale did no internal investigation. It was an inside job there was no breaking and entering but none of the employees were investigated. Or shall I say there was nothing reported to my parents. After my father past my mother was robbed two more times taking what they had replaced the first time and other antique rings and watch that had great sentimental value to my family. Again Brookdale did nothing. This ended up being several thousand dollars worth of jewelry stolen. The subject of installing a safe after everything was gone was brought up, but one was never installed. I do not wish this on any other person. This place is not as safe as you may think.

The facility is inconsistent in…read moreits level of care, and when concerns are raised, staff frequently claim they are short-staffed rather than addressing the underlying issues. The overall quality of care appears poor, from the management team down to the nursing staff. It's heartbreaking that families with limited financial options may feel pressured to settle for an unsafe or neglectful environment simply because other options seem unattainable. When issues are reported, the problems tend ta persist for about a week before the level of service returns to a consistently low standard, Additionally, when my loved one reports an issue, the facility attempts to dismiss or deny it, making it seem as though he doesn't know what he's talking about or that the allegations aren't true. He had been in two other nursing facilities and Golden Acres was by far the best. He was always clean, there was no odor anywhere and there was always someone looking after him. I felt very comfortable knowing that he was so well taken care of. Even though the building might be older, it is clean and it is the care that the residents get that matter.
