First I will say that Dr R, Dr B and their masseuse Kyle are amazing!! They get 5 stars!! I had…read morebeen seeing them for almost two years now, and seriously these guys are awesome! However, I've had nothing but issues with their office manager and the VA. First I know the VA can be a difficult. However, it seems like every time my auth needed to be renewed it was a massive problem. More than the other 5 modalities that I see. When I asked questions trying to figure out the problem, so I can call the VA to fix it, I was greeted with irritation and contempt that I was even questioning her authority. She has literally told me on many occasions "The VA doesn't care", "The VA doesn't care about you or continuity of care". "The VA is horrible". I also got many times from her "I submitted it last week (or two weeks ago) and they haven't responded." With no effort of following up on her end. Every time I found out she either just filed it one business day ago (before my next appraisal) or she never filed it (it's email! Not fax, emails don't go missing). She always acted like it was an inconvenience for me to be asking her questions, so you, the patient, could call the VA and fix the problems. There is also an issue with them using the wrong NPI for their acupuncture and the Prescott VA pointed it out and the office manager was livid, which she shared with me that the Prescott VA was horrible and making things up because she uses that NPI for Phoenix with no problem. I told her it's the same system and if it's wrong, then clearly it's wrong. Also she claims she's following the process, yet my Community Care Rep had reached out to her no less than 5 times to explain to her the process on how to file things. At first I thought it was just a "me" thing and she just didn't like me. I have bad days and can be grouchy or not as friendly. I also get I'm not everyone's cup of tea. Then I found out that other Vets were also having similar issues with the office manager. Yet she is still there. In fact I have referred a few people here, and they all have said the same things. They all loved the Dr's R & B and Kyle, but couldn't stand the office manager. They complained the office manager not being friendly and very hostile towards them when they had questions. Two of my referrals stopped going there because they don't want to deal with her. The last final straw came when I responded to one of their "thanks for visiting today how can we do better" texts. Well this day, I told them! I was ticked off that they sat on a denial letter for 2 days. Only to say "we knew you were coming for an office visit and waited til then". Seriously?! Who does that!! Never have I had a doctor's office waited to tell me my renewal to a referral was denied. They always call me to let me know. Nope! Not this gal!! They didn't even give me time to call the VA and work this out (my next appt was two weeks away). So of course I called the VA at 1700 to leave a voicemail to find out what was going on and the reason behind the denial. Only to overhear the front desk gal whisper to the office manager "she's calling the VA". To which the office manager made a snarky remark about how all the VAs suck and I'll have to accept it. I ignored her, went in for my appt. On my check out the front desk gal informed me that she was told by the office manager to cancel all my appts. I questioned why because I had two weeks til the next one and that gave me time to figure out what was going on. She told me I would have to pay cash for those appointments. I told her fine, I would pay cash, knowing I would deal with the VA before then. I was hot because how this whole thing was being handled. I was even hotter on how the office manager, who was right there when I was given the notice and never once said she was canceling all my future appointments. So today when I got one of my referrals renewed, I was informed by Community Care that the Office manager told them I was no longer a patient there and apparently they had sent me a letter?! Really no texts, no emails, no letters. It's really sad that you have two amazing Chiropractors and massage therapist, but you have to deal a difficult office manager who clearly has a beef against Veterans and the VA and doesn't like being asked questions. So because of her I'm giving two stars.

Initially, I was looking for a female chiropractor who could treat my 10yr old daughter and came…read moreacross Bodyworkz. I was excited to find that it was woman owned and operated. They use a chiropractic gun, which I also found to be a plus since it seemed to be less traumatic (a gentle approach for my nervous daughter). Both Dr. Cipollo and Dr. Wallace are wonderful and really made sure my daughter felt comfortable. She has improved greatly and looks forward to her visits now. I recently started getting treatments myself. I'm a runner and have been suffering from tightness in my hips, which over time has become painful. I can't believe how out of wack I was. The chiropractic gun they use, in my opinion, is better than the traditional method. I feel like there is an immediate relief and that more pressure in the surrounding areas are released. It also seems like your adjustment "sticks" longer. I'm now a few adjustments in and am so excited to be feeling this well. I can't believe I was walking around like that for so long!

I no longer work at Bodyworkz, and I want to be transparent about why…read more I have reached a point where I can no longer continue working in an environment that I personally experienced as toxic, inconsistent, and punitive toward its massage therapists. When I had a legitimate medical emergency involving a severe migraine and vomiting, I went to urgent care, provided a doctor's note, and called out because I was physically unable to safely work. Instead of that being treated as a normal medical absence, my clients were moved to another therapist. I appreciated that they were able to be seen, but my schedule was then emptied for the following Monday, leaving me with only one client at the very end of my day. I experienced that as punishment for having a medical emergency. This was not the only issue that led to my decision. When I needed urgent dental care for an infected tooth, I was asked to give two clients massages before leaving at lunchtime, even though I had provided more than an hour of notice and was in significant pain. I declined because I needed medical care and was not able to function normally. I was told that clients are expected to provide 24-hour notice for cancellations, and I was questioned about why I should not have to do the same, despite the situation being a medical emergency. I was also pressured to provide the massages for free, which would have meant losing income while also giving away my services. I have also been required to give massages for free when front desk staff failed to tell me about an early client or failed to update my schedule. In addition, I was not paid for several clients who did not actually no-show because front desk staff had failed to collect or maintain their credit card information. These were administrative mistakes, but the financial consequences were passed on to me. Communication was also routinely inconsistent. Different therapists would be given different--and sometimes directly contradictory--information, leaving everyone confused about expectations and policies. I believe massage therapists deserve to be treated like skilled healthcare and wellness professionals. We deserve clear expectations, accurate pay, consistent communication, and the ability to be sick or have a medical emergency without fearing financial retaliation. I care deeply about my clients, which is why I chose to finish out my remaining scheduled time rather than simply walk away. They did nothing wrong, and I did not want them caught in the middle. But I will not continue sacrificing my health, my income, or my professional dignity to remain somewhere that operates this way. I am choosing to move forward and put my energy into building a practice rooted in respect, communication, ethical care, and the kind of environment I believe both therapists and clients deserve. If you're one of the clients I've had the privilege of working with: thank you. Caring for you has never been the problem.
