Went in here today for an eye exam and to obtain a new set of glasses; it was a really good experience. I set up an appointment online for the eye exam and checked into the front desk. I then filled out a form indicating my medical history along with signed authorization. A staff member then had me look into 3 machines to check the health of my eyes. No longer do you have to get eye drops and experience blurred vision for hours. The new machine they use just requires you to look inside the eye opening and wait for a a green light to come on in order for it to take a detailed photo. I was then escorted to Angela, the doctor, who performed the reading exam and lens determination. She was very quick and friendly. I was told they store your eye examination records there for 5 years. The final step was to pick my frames and choose the options. In the next room, I was served by a couple of staff who were very helpful. I tried on a few pairs of glasses, with the staff suggesting a couple of different styles. Most frames ranged in cost from $200 to $250. I eventually went with some nice spring-loaded RayBan's, with the extra options of progressives, non-glare, and transition lenses. They made the measurements of the glasses on my face and put the order into the system. They are due to come in within two weeks. Apparently they are made at a central factory and then shipped to the store. An email will be sent to me when they arrive. Such a simple and smooth process! read more

Typically I go to LensCrafters, but this ended up being the better choice given vision insurance. Passed by and dropped off my prescription for glasses. Figured it was time to change them as I hadn't in a couple of years. Walked around the entire store and was impressed by how busy it was. It took awhile for someone to help me, but when they finally did, I was the apple of their eye. I received exemplary service. Took about an hour or two, but I finally found a pair I could live with. Truth is I hate wearing glasses, but they're a necessary evil. Anyway, placed the order and was told they'd be ready in 7-10 business days. I think it wasn't even 5 business days when I got the text that my glasses were ready for pick up. Went in, picked up my glasses, and that was that. Happy with my purchase. Now I won't have to worry about this again until next year, haha, and if I'm really fortunate for another couple of years. read more

I have been going to this Visionworks in Hialeah (except for two times) to get glasses ever since I first had to use them back in the 8th grade. I always come back here because I always find the perfect blend of great service and good selection of glasses. It's easy to get an appointment for your eye exam, and you never have to wait long to see the doctor. You will get in at your appointment time. The salespeople are nice, I have known the salesperson who sold me my newest pair of glasses for as long as I have been coming here. Great place, if you need a new pair of glasses. read more

First of all the model frames they have marked at 249.00 later I found online for 99.00 After have my glasses made twice I had to return them because the progressive lenses they make are very narrow and were making me dizzy. There lenses and frame used to be good but not anymore...Now I am sitting waiting to get 700.00 returned to a credit card and my money tied up with no new glasses. Conveniently located in the heart of Hialeah, vision works offers eye exams all week long including Saturdays and Sunday. Everyone I encountered at the store was courteous and ready to help. The techs on the doctors side were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Lisandra was patient when performing the preliminary exam and gladly assisted me with choosing my frame and then ordering my contact lenses. In Hialeah fla, this is the place to get all in house items and eye care service. They have it all, including their own lab. Great people, Willing to help, Friendly, Family feeling by being there. Went in to have an eye exam, the ladies at the eye exam table where really kind and helpful signing me up. The doctor who was doing the exam seemed impatient because I couldn't tell if things where worst or better... which is what the exam is meant for. Then a blond employee who was nearest to the door was rude because I asked that I'll be leaving and I wanted to know where to turn in the glasses tray. Take some of your employees back to a customer service class because they probably slept through it. read more

I started coming to this Visionworks when I moved nearby after years of going to a couple different ones in ft lauderdale, which I liked. But this location blew those out of the water. The staff here is so helpful and so polite! Something that is so hard to find these days. The opticians that always help me Rafael and Paula are so great at catering to my needs every time. I just appreciate their customer service and their attention to detail. I don't see myself ever going any place other than Visionworks, and especially this location !! read more

If I were able to give this vision works a negative rating I would. I have been loyally coming to this vision works for over a decade. It's always been convenient and centrally located. However. The older American female optometrist has always been unfriendly and aloof when it comes to the client. I have even seen her get upset and treat her staff poorly. Today, I went in for my contact exam after not being able to go for the past few months and I found out that they have a policy that if I don't come back within two months of my eye glass exam the $80 contact exam that I usually get goes up to almost $160!!!!! How in the heck does that happen? I made a phone call to another location a few blocks down the street and they were able to quote me the original price no matter how old the other exam was. So I have had enough with this location. Their high prices and crappy customer service and have taken my business and my money elsewhere. If you live in the Hialeah area please do not. I repeat do not go here if you want terrible and over priced service. This place is a joke. read more

Well I do not know what to say about this store. I went there due to that I had to take my glasses of to see little letters on the computer when I was really close to the screen. I called first just to see that they took my Insurance. They told me yes but not for the exam. They told me the exam was $69 I said ok I can pay that. I went there I gave the person on the front counter the insurance card and she called and informed me that I did not have coverage till July 1 2017. I told her that I knew that but what did it matter if they did not cover the exam. I would pay for the exam and they wait 4 days and get the glasses in 4 days when the insurance covered it. She asked me who told you that your insurance covers the exam. I told her that I had called and spoke to Carmen. She said well I don't know but it is covered but not for another 4 days. I was already there so. I paid. I felt like a number. The doctor did not even ask me why I was there. Like do you have problems with looking far, near or doth. She just put me in the machine. I had to tell her that the problem was near. Oh she says that happens when you are 40 years old. She said I needed progressive glasses. Well they are the professionals so ok. I waited about a week. Went to pick them up. It was bad from this point. I could not even see to either side without turning my head. The gentleman went to the doctor to see if she could do a quick check to see if it was ok. The doctor said at this time it is by appointment only. Oh she was sitting in the front doing nothing waiting for I do not know maybe the appointment. They changed them to bifocals. Waited 11 days. Went in to get the new pair. I told the man that I could see farther and clearer with the old glasses that with the new ones. He took me old glasses and tested they and said oh yes you old ones are 2.00 the new ones are 1.75 that is why. He said that happens. Bottom line $225 dollars later I have glasses that I do not use. Oh I was convinced to get the glasses that turn dark when the sun is out. Payed more and they don't work in the car. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more
