If I could leave 0 stars. The worst place I've ever been to for an eye exam. Went in on the 13 of November for exam. Called 12/15 to see if my contact lenses were in since no one bothered to call me. What is with the long wait time for glasses?! I was first told 4 weeks, which turned to 6 weeks and now we're almost at two months! My son is blind in one eye and other is 20/300 and it has been awful waiting for his new glasses. If I was told this upfront, we would have taken the opportunity to go elsewhere. read more

While the staff was pretty friendly, the wait time is atrocious. I arrived 15 minutes early for my 1:00 eye appointment which was a mistake on my part. I didn't get my name called until 2:55.. I didn't get to see the doctor until 3:30.. I didn't leave until 4:15.. More than 3 hours waiting for a simple eye exam.. The actual exam took less than 10 minutes.. I know you must be thinking that there was a long line ahead of me. There were 2 people in front of me. 2 people. On top of that, with my insurance, it was supposed to cost 10 dollars, but they charged me 35.. When I pointed it out, they just said "well, its more because we did extra stuff".. No explanation of the extra stuff nor was it any more than any other eye exam consisted of. In the future, I will be go anywhere but this place. read more

I wasted over $500 with Visionworks located in Homestead. This is the WORST optician I have been in! They gave me the wrong prescription.

I am a manager Car dealership and I know what customer service is supposed to look like.I set up an appointment for a eye exam 4 days in advance at 3 PM which I have to get excused my self from my job excuse my job to attend to my appointment that much I need it and when I got to the store the lady said to me, I am sorry but the doctor had an emergency with no further explanation I explain to her that I took time off my job to come to this appointment and I wasn't notified about it and her answer was I understand and nothing else.I'm very disappointed I am 51 years old and I have been using glasses since and I was 17 I am pretty sure I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars and I products and merchandise I would never ever again go to vision works at 897 8 st homestead Florida that is only 3.5 miles away from my house it's a shame for poor customer service the thousands and thousands of dollars a business looses for poor costumer service. read more

Cassandra (or Kassandra) not sure how it's spelled; has been there for me and my sister since the beginning. Which was only the beginning of this year, after I had to switch my life long ophthalmologist due to insurance change. I've had glasses since I was 8, I'm 20 now, so I didn't want to change offices, I loved where I went. But I'm lucky I got Cassandra to help me the minute I walked in the door. She's so kind and laughs with me and my sister, and makes every visit enjoyable. Also, there frames are to die for. Prices are so fair!! I couldnt choose between 2 frames and turned out I was able to afford both! I'm glad the change happened, this is a great office to be a client :) read more

I had a great experience at Visionworks. Jeff helped me right away. No waiting at all. After trying on many frames, Jeff helped me make the right choice just for me. My glasses were ready in less then a week. When I picked them up Jeff made sure they fit perfectly. I will go back again. read more

They make multiple appointments at the same time with only 1 doctor. 1115 appointment. Have not seen the doctor yet 1 hour in. This happens every time. I will find a new place. Not sure why they overload the schedule. read more

I've had pretty good luck with this Visionworks location. The Dr. is one of the best optometrists I have ever had. She is very professional and thorough. The people in the front are also very nice and the prices are fair. The only thing that would prevent me from buying glasses there in the future is that pretty much every pair of glasses they sell are made in China. I guess that's how they keep prices low. read more

I do NOT recommend using this facility. I made an appointment 11:15 on a Saturday and it is now 12:15 and have not been seen they are not busy, I made an appointment to not have an excessive wait. The actual Eye Dr. was apologetic and thorough but the wait was ridiculous. read more

I usually go to lensecrafters but after switching insurance I was sent to Visionworks and I can easily say I am happy I was. The staff is extremely welcoming especially Tony, he is wonderful. he helped us from getting a same day appointment with the optometrist to picking the right frames and worked with my insurance to assure I got the best deal in town. I highly recommend anyone looking for glasses or a check up go see tony he gives full customer service start to finish. read more

My husband and I had a very positive experience at this Visionworks location. We were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff who guided us through the pricing (including generous sales and discounts), selection, and explanations about the various lens options. They also extended the curtesy of accommodating my husband's mobility limitations. Dr. Hopper is terrific. Friendly, patient, and thorough, she made sure the prescriptions were right. We were pleased with the entire experience, including the price, quality and diverse selection of frames. We enjoyed the added perk of the convenient location of this Visionworks, nearby to where we do our banking, grocery shopping and other routine errands. read more

I picked this location due to it being so close and overall had a great experience last year during my appointment. This year however was another story. I was called to schedule my yearly exam and was given a Friday at 5:30 pm which was fine with me. 10 mins later I get another call by another associate and gets asked if I can make it at 4 pm. I was fine with that and arrived promptly at 3:50. I waited patiently for 45 mins to get called and nothing. Finally I asked to verify my appointment time and the lady at the counter said 4 and that they will call me next. I waited for another 15 mins and in the meantime folks that arrived after me were called in (I am not sure how this works but I assumed that they had earlier appointments). I feel the customer service and the quality of the staff at this location has gone down big time. I love the doctor she is the only reason I gave this location 2 stars. I will make sure to do the customer service survey on the Vision works website as well. read more

This place is a total joke. Went on Friday with an 11:15am appointment, over the phone I was told it was the first appointment of the day cause the doctor arrives at 11, I got there at 10:55 cause it's my first time here and I wanted to have my new patient paperwork done by my appointment time. Well to my surprise when I sign in with the lady at the front desk she says you have one person ahead of you so it won't be long. I of course ask how is it so if I was told I had the first appointment of the day she laughed and said the doctor was there since 10am. I shrugged it off and waited..... and waited..... and waited... the person ahead of me went in and left then the doctor called for some other lady who had arrived AFTER ME! I wasn't actually seen by the doctor until 12:25, the exam didn't last over 5 minutes, HOWEVER when it came time to dilate my eyes she put the drops in my eyes and sent me back into the SUPER BRIGHT waiting area, to my surprise while I was waiting she had completed another exam and stepped out to get lunch! Another exam after dilating that was no longer than 2 minutes and I was walking out of there at 1:30. I WILL NEVER GO BACK, and will certainly let others know how much of a waste of time this place is. read more
