Very poor experience with this health care company. The nurse was rude , argumentative and…read moreunprofessional. They were fired before the initial consult . Would not recommend them to take care of an injured animal let alone a person

That being said, I'd assume someone who is in nursing would be the same, if not more so, because they are dealing with sick people. Today a Bayada nurse came to the house for my mother. First off, she was an hour late. She finally arrived, and I opened the door for her, as my mom can't really get up and about. Ok, she didn't even look at me or say hello, but just glanced down judgingly at my pajama pants and bare feet. Girl, I'm on vacation. She doesn't shake my mom's hand, she doesn't give her a bright and bubbly, "Hi there! I'm so and so!! How are you??!!?!?!?" which is REALLY what I would expect in this situation, and especially because their advertising leads me to believe that they love people! She sits down on the couch and asks, "So what do you need me for...." She was abrupt and really rough around the edges. I was leaning against the counter in the kitchen watching and listening to her, and it blew my mind SO much how detached and cold she was, that I had to go to the other side of the house. No personality AT ALL! The reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because she did DO her job... So that does earn a star from me. You're dealing with people who are sick or just out of surgery, and believe me, a smile and a friendly demeanor goes a LONG WAY! *this is strictly MY opinion, not my moms. :) im sure she'd want me to say that.*

When it came time to use them to help with my own Mom (a person with excellent insurance), I was told the did not want to contract with my Moms insurer. They never said no, they said they didn't feel like doing a contract and this is despite doing contract with many other people. They would not even call my Moms insurance agent. The insurance agent would have paid 100 percent of the doctors orders and her care was not complicated. Instead I was told they would be happy to help my Mom if I paid for the nurse, home health aide, the physical occupational therapist and the speech therapist with cash. So it doesn't matter how good you have been to a company over the years. To Bayada all they care about is your money.

My husband was home by dinner time. Sal the nurse was so helpful and caring. He explained everything we needed to do to keep my husband comfortable. It was such a stormy night and I was able to have the priest from St. Mary of the Pines come for his last rights. Just in case. His daughter & I were able to spend the night by his side with a couple of friends & family . I think knowing he was back home made all the difference. He was finally able to let go. He passed away by 8 am the next day. If it was not for Bayada he may not have made it home. Sal came back the very next day. We could not have gotten through this ordeal had it not been for everyone working together with Bayada. Thank you all and God Bless you all.

And ask for a tour from the receptionist at the front desk ( you see I'm on disability due to kidney failure and compartment syndrome of my left leg). I was told to wait. The administrator who was a young woman had appeared and she was talking to a rabbi. She entered the administration office with the Rabbi and later out in 20 minutes then came out with the Rabbi . After saying goodbye to the Rabbi She didn't bother to look at me. Instead she went right back into the office. Not so much as a greeting. I went up to the desk and asked if I could have a tour? The receptionist went to ask about this and he came out and said can you come back tomorrow? I told him that it is not possible because I don't have my own transportation and I rely on somebody else to bring me there. I decided not to pursue this place anymore especially after the way I was treated. Furthermore the impression I get from the place it is more like a glorified nursing home then an actual apartment complex with additional assisted living service. I have been to other places that were apartments and yet they have better assisted living service. And the apartments were better. This seems to be a poorly maintained facility for place that is highly priced. I will never return there ever. I should thank them for their actions. Because I think I can find a better place. Terrible how they treat a human being without getting to know someone.
