I have been with Dr. Sewell and VCC for sometime now, and up until my last visit have been very satisfied. Unfortunately with my last visit I didn't have the time to make an apt so I did a walk in (which is one of the many conveniences I love about this clinic). The receptionist I talked to on the phone was quite rude and had little to no sympathy for making me wait so long to take my call. Despite this, I still wanted answers about my health and wanted to see a doctor. Dr. Sewell was not there so I saw another physician. The trouble was that from when I arrived at the clinic, then was out of the doors it had been 2 hours. I sat in my exam room for probably an hour and 50 mins and saw the nurse/practitioner for 10. They requested I go to a lab for a blood test which ended up closing while I was still at the clinic, waiting. I am very disappointed and will not go again without making an appointment with Dr. Sewell, seems he's the only one who can run a tight ship around there. read more

I have been going to Vista CC for around 9 years. They are my primary care physicians as well are a local Auburn urgent care facility. It's great to be able to go to them on Saturdays if the need arises, and they know your history, which is cool. I think there staff is fantastic, and I would recommend this place to anyone. I've listened to their front desk interactions with walk-ins in particular. They're always friendly and extremely helpful. They work walk-ins in to the rotation as quickly as possible (usually not very long). I've had prostate cancer in the past year and am suffering with chronic spine disease. They are very caring and have great bedside manners. read more

I just want to share my experience with Chris Williams, PA from Vista Complete Care. I was on the verge of a blood transfusion and Chris was the only one who could see me on a Saturday. He went above and beyond caring for me. He made me feel so comfortable and made sure I had all I needed for surgery. This office is fantastic. Everyone from the staff to the clinical staff to the Doctors themselves go out of their way to make sure their patients are being taken care of. The staff are friendly and personable, the clinical staff is very professional but also caring and the doctors are amazing. I have had Dr Daniel Sewell as my primary Doctor since 2010. Besides his thoughtful way of analyzing one's malady, he takes the time to consider all options that are available for his patients. I recently had an infection on my foot that required immediate attention. We have liked them and really like the staff and the NP, but there was an alternate male doctor there (not Dr. Sewell), and he would not take our opinion into account and blew off what we requested completely. We were very disappointed with the "service" today. We have a choice in where we go, and they should take our opinions into account at the very least, as the patients. The Repercussions of trusting my health to Vista Complete Care for 10 years reverberates in my life daily. For all the years I went there all I would ever get was a chat and a blood test order that I would never hear about. Then as my body started declining with age and previous injuries and a horrific car crash at 28, I would go in telling them what hurts and is swollen that they wouldn't look at or examine, and again I would just have a chat and a blood test. I stopped even sitting on the exam table as I would never be examined. Not even a physical of any kind or even a stethescope to my chest or back. As things declined and things swelled and hurt I demanded some MRI's and I mean I had to fight for those orders. And low and behold I have now had two surgeries and planning more, no thanks to Dr Sewell and especially the two useless P.A.'s Josh and Jason. Jason's now gone after the investigation and disciplinary actions but Josh is back there now so beware. I should have listened to people telling me "Don't go to a Doc in a Box place"... The issues I now have and will have for the rest of my life will always be a reminder of the lack of Medical Care, lack of concern and lack of having any kind of a annual physical or any exam that I experienced at Vista Complete Care. This isn't the place you want as your PCP. I am living proof. read more

LOVE this place! Went in first time without an appointment on a Friday and was in, treated and out in 45 mins! Then went for regular scheduled appointment and again, super impressed! Dr. Sewell is wonderful, thorough and a keeper! He doesnt just prescribe medications, he tries to determine the root cause and go from there. The staff is amazing! I tried to update my previous review but was taken to someone else's comment. So, new comment: I've been a patient at Vista since Doc Sewell opened the place. The current providers at Vista are great. Many of the current staff are incompetent. No response to an urgent billing issue for almost two weeks, then got 4 calls from different people - with conflicting/punitive information - in 4 business days... one AFTER I actually had to come in for an office visit with a provider to work on the issue. If you can get around the current incompetent office staff, the providers are terrific (especially Doc and Trisha). Also, I've tried several times over the past few years to connect with their most recent provider portal - but front office staff continued to be apparently unable to type in my correct email address. Great experience for being out of town. We had to go in because our son got a big splinter in his foot while traveling. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Had a long wait, but most of it was in the comfort of the exam room. We were walk-ins so the wait was understandable. The doc was awesome. Had great bedside manner and worked to build a rapport with our young son. He explained everything well and was very patient. Would absolutely come here again if needed. Thank you! read more

The receptionists were very kind and personable. Communication, scheduling, and being seen went very smoothly. All the employees I interacted with were very efficient and helpful. I interacted with 4 employees and they were all very friendly. I saw Dr. Cavaness and he was very professional and personable. After waiting on hold for 20 min trying to get through to our pediatrician's office, I looked for local Urgent Care instead and found Vista. I took my 12 year old daughter in for a sprained ankle on a Monday morning at 9am - she was seen, x-rayed and "air-cast"ed (it's a user friendly splint) in about 90 minutes. They took our insurance with no worries, and everyone was friendly and sympathetic to my daughter. Dr. Sewell was very thorough and did not rush us out. I'm glad I read the Google review instead of the reviews here on Yelp - in my opinion, it was the perfect urgent care experience. read more

After my visit which well enough and seemed professional. However, afterwards I had to call back about a referral and I got no response after 3 messages and when I talked to the front desk they guy was rude and told me that I had to wait 3 to 5 days for someone to get back to me on the referral. Even though they knew I had a broken bone and needed to have an orthopedic surgeon evaluate if for surgery with in a few days for surgery they blew me off. No care or concern by the staff, so I give them 1 star. Oh and I asked to speak with the doctor but they said I had to come back in or schedule an appointment even though I was there the previous day. I won't be back! read more

Worse doctors office I've ever been to. We recently moved to the area and are looking for our family doctor. The receptionists lack any personality and are not very friendly. The doctor isn't much better. We scheduled TB tests for my wife's daycare application and you need to show up 48-72 hours later. I showed up 75 hours later and was told I needed to get retested. No problem, I missed the timeframe. I asked to reschedule and they said I would need to wait 4 weeks. Looking at the CDC website, there is no reason I have to wait 4 weeks as the website says "If a person does not return within 48-72 hours for a tuberculin skin test reading, a second test can be placed as soon as possible. There is no contraindication to repeating the TST, unless a previous TST was associated with a severe reaction.".. They chose to push me off 4 weeks for no apparent reason. Needless to say we'll take the medical needs for our family elsewhere.. read more

Good care, but be aware that they will charge you for services almost 2 YEARS LATER!! Their billing dept called last week saying I had an overdue balance on my account from office visit in December 2013 and January 2014. Umm...It's June 2015. The billing person asked for payment, and I requested a statement (not knowing what the charges were for, and why my insurance hadn't covered it). I asked why I hadn't been contacted previously for a bill that is 1.5 years old, and it turns out they had the wrong address. Ok, I get it. I did have my mail forwarded for 3 months, but maybe they really did send statements and I never got them? They obviously had my phone number, so it seemed strange that they wouldn't have called once the bill reached 90 days old. I asked for a supervisor to call me back and Jillian left me a very nice voicemail stating that they would allow me until the end of July 2015 to pay the bill and I could even split it into payments if needed. However, today I received a phone call and they sent the bill to COLLECTIONS! I called their office and no response. Boo. Very disappointed, and the billing lady (not Jillian) was pretty rude. read more

Great office and beautiful location! I've taken my kids here when I suspected an ear infection and our pediatrician was not available. Very quick and convenient. And I was able to buy antibiotics on the spot instead of hauling the kids to the pharmacy! Plus, you cannot beat a $100 office visit. We've seen a few of the providers there and each of them were wonderful! Highly, highly recommend this office. read more

Sidney in the front office is very inappropriate and unprofessional. She gives patients incorrect insurance information without knowing or checking her facts. Laughter on a call with a patient is unacceptable and I am hopeful she gets counsel on how to move forward with compassion and learns the insurance ins and outs. Went there at closing and both Ann Marie PA and Steven MA , x-ray tech stayed late . I smashed my finger and had a fracture and 7 stitches. Excellent service and friendly people. I later fretted that the severity of my injury that I should have had a hand specialist do the job. When I returned Ann Marie assured me that she specialized in plastics and my finger was fine. Now, a few days later sure enough it is looking and feeling great. read more

I went here to have a clogged ear cleaned out. I had a lavage for both ears. The gal squirting the water in my ear seemed to be inexperienced and squirted too hard which was painful. I now have ringing in my ears. I don't recommend this place for this kind of care. They were not willing to negotiate on my bill. read more

I went to Vista for heart palpitations; P.A. said that my EKG was abnormal, I made an appt to get a stress test from the cardiologist while I was still in the room, they made the appt for me the next day and said I needed the Dr. to send a referral for a (stress test) and I asked the PA to send a referral for the test and she wouldn't. She sent a referral for a consultation, and that would take a few months to get in. read more

The simple medical service was fine and appropriate (visit-$323.36, an antibiotic and tetanus shot-$80.84) but the insurance billing is a nightmare, There is essentially no one to speak to live and they do not call back within 48hrs. When I finally did speak to someone (in Maine I think) they did not follow through with what they said they would do--bill my insurance company. With out going into all the details it is worse than that. I will not use their services again. Ever. read more

Since we moved up here a year ago, I have been taking my teen daughter here because they have walk-in appointments and are open Saturdays. If you are lucky enough to get Dr Sewell, then I would probably give Vista a consistant 4 or 5 STAR rating. But unfortunately he is typically booked up for weeks and so we end up with Samantha or Ann Marie, the PAs. They are horrible, constantly misdiagnosing. I refuse to take my daughter there unless she can see Dr. Sewell. Once my daughter was having a hard time eating for about a week, and Ann Marie had the nerve to tell my child to her face that she had ANOREXIA! That was totally untrue and worried me my daughter would start obsessing about her weight. She also insisted my daughter had Thrush, even though she has always had a "geographic tongue" and prescribed her horrible, chalky medication. Of course the next time we saw Dr. Sewell he said she does ot have Thrush. Samantha is just as bad, misdiagnosing and giving misinformation. She assured me that over the counter Claritan is now about $4.00 and generic is even cheaper, since I was short of money. Claritan is $24.00 and Generic is about $18.00!! Last night I needed to talk to the doctor-on-call at about 9:30 PM, something I rarely do, and had to call back a couple of times. Two hours later Ann Marie, who had obviously been sleeping, was patched through via the answering service. Dr. Sewell is not in tomorrow so I will not be bringing her there. Dr. Sewell on the other hand is absolutely wonderful, but you can't request him when you are a walk-in. The nurses and admin are very nice. read more

The worst Dr. Office experience I have ever had. I would rather go to the Placer County Community Clinic. I went in for a gout flare up with extreme pain. I was seen right away which was the only good thing tho at happened there. The medicine that was prescribed was correct with one huge downfall the quantity was not enough to get rid of the gout. NP Smith wrote the prescription for 3 pills (colchicine). They send all prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy so I didn't find this out until I was trying to pick it up. So I went back to the office to ask her to write the prescription for more pills all the while in serious pain but she declined. I would like to add the fact that I have been to at least 5 other doctors in CA and NV for the same ailment which all of whom prescribed a standard 10 pills and up to 100 if I asked for that many. I asked to talk to a Doctor to clear up the matter but he too would not give me more than 3 pills. In case anyone is wondering colchicine is not a narcotic, nor does it make you fell good, it gets rid of gout and gives you diarrhea so it is far from an abuse-able drug. I was told by the doctor he would add some refills but that never happened so I guess that makes him a liar. I would not recommend Vista care to anyone and will steer as many people away from there as I possibly can. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Sewell's for over 20 years. He is awesome! Always treats me very gentle and with respect. Now that he has Vista Complete Care, he is able to help more patients with the same outstanding care and concern that he has always had. His staff is totally awesome and shows the same care and compassion for patients that Dr. Sewell does. If you're looking for a primary care and urgent care facility that will take good care of you, this is the place for you. If you are a drop-in and want to see De. Sewell, all you have to do is ask for him upon check-in, and if he's there that day, he will see you. You might have to wait some extra time, but he is well worth the wait! Want a doctor who will only give you medication when you really need it? Well, then Dr. Sewell and his staff are the folks for you. If you don't need medication to treat something, they won't give it to you. I like that about this place because not everything needs to be medicated; it may just need a check-up or rest. I highly recommend Dr. Sewell and Vista Complete Care. I live in Sacramento, but they are well worth the drive for quality care. read more
