Another five star experience at Lincoln urgent care today. Had a badly dislocated finger that I could not reduce at home, so headed to urgent care. As always, greeted warmly by the front desk staff. Waited less than five minutes to be called for initial evaluation, Short wait for X-rays and Mark, the provider, reduced my dislocation in a matter of minutes. Professional, respectful, and all the staff I came into contact with very friendly. What a well run clinic and as I have said in the past, we are so fortunate to have this high caliber emergency medical care available in our community. I needed a simple Lance and drain procedure.. I called first since I have to drive over an hour... I know I was out of my network so I told them I had Medi-Cal but I would be willing to just pay 100%... After communication with someone over the phone, I drove over an hour only to be denied services because I have Medi-Cal San Mateo health insurance... I offered cash. I said it's an emergency. I'm in extreme pain. Please help me... They recommended their other location which I also got denied at! Both places said that they can help me with the procedure I need. So the type of care I needed was ready and available but the care quality and the delivery was zero.. they made up some story saying that they would get in trouble from Medi-Cal.. So I called Medi-Cal California state system and they told me if I'm not filing the claim and paying cash for a medical procedure then how would they ever know? Sounds reasonable yet. Lincoln urgent Care denied me. I just wanted to pay cash... Whoever runs this business is just in it for profit and taking advantage of people. Came here because I wasn't feeling well, I thought it would pass but it didn't. It was easy to find the place and it was more modern building. You walk up and do the first part on a tablet and the rest via link from text. The whole process was super easy. I got here about 10:55am the day after 4th of July. Everyone at their office was super friendly and kind from the receptionist who set me up, to the nurse to Dr. Bryce Becker And even the x-ray tech. Thank for being kind and taking care of me, i appreciate it. had to come back three weeks later because my coughing was very persistent, and I had a hard time sleeping at night. Came here about 9:40AM checked in was very easy, there was only five people in front of me. I was able to get in at 10am and saw Dr.Mark Allen, he was super nice & friendly. I was sent off to do a chest X-rays and ankle X-ray in the same facility, which is nice. after everything was done, they sent my prescription to the pharmacy. Outstanding care and service. I went to lincoln Urgent care. After experiencing 6 day of a 104 degree fever. I was seen quickly, blood tests and a few swabs to rule out flu or Covid. And a chest x ray. Nothing was obvious right away. And I left. However Megan the nurse practitioner. Gave me a call and let me know I had pneumonia showing up on my x ray. As someone who works in healthcare and holds patient care very high, I'm extremely disappointed by the care I received at Lincoln Urgent Care. I have heard great things, so when I woke up feeling pain from my big toe in the middle of the night, I headed here instead of driving to Sutter. The PA quickly looked at it and said it is lifted about 50% possibly from some sort of trauma and a fungal infection had started due to the nail lifting. The PA recommended my entire nail be removed from my foot. He said he could just trim it back as well but recommended removing the whole thing and seemed pretty set on that so I trusted his judgment despite feeling a little uneasy about the suggestion. I even asked him twice if that's what he truly recommends. He injected lidocaine and told me he'd return in 8 minutes--but didn't come back for 30+ minutes. By then, the anesthetic was well into the process of wearing off and the procedure was excruciatingly painful. I immediately told him I was feeling the procedure and it hurt, shortly after I said stop I need a break, he said he was almost done. I then passed out from the pain. I woke up to my body shaking and drenched in sweat, he said he had never seen someone pass out while they are laying down before. I asked for pain medication and antibiotics and was denied both so assumed my symptoms would resolve shortly. The worst part? Less than 24 hours later my entire foot was swollen, red, and unable to bear weight so I drove to Sutter ER. Physical and radiological inspection showed cellulitis and soft tissue swelling in my foot. The doctor didn't understand why my nail was even removed, they told me that removing my entire nail was unnecessary and informed me there's a chance it may never grow back. These risks and warnings about permanent damage should have been discussed BEFORE the procedure. I feel like that is standard protocol. I would have never done this had I known the risks and pain associated. The PA's diagnosis was extreme and costed me a lot physically and mentally compared to a more conservative approach of just trimming the toe nail back and seeing how it responds. Moving forward all I can do is pray my toe will heal properly now and that my nail will eventually grow back after the traumatic, poorly-done, procedure. I'm sure this place would be great for the common cold or flu, or maybe a non-invasive procedure, but I'm sharing my experience because nobody should have to go through what I am and I hope the situation is addressed and reviewed with the careless PA. read more

I walked into urgent care today to do a physical and drug screening for my new job. Being that it was 99° outside, it was wonderful that the air was working. Mostly, but good enough to keep us all sane! I was greeted at the front desk and the girls there got me checked in. I don't think I waited more than 15 minutes(they had others there before me) before they got me in for a drug screening. Then I was taken to a room where my blood pressure and temp was taken. The doctor came in and listened to my lungs and got me all checked out. After that, I did the physical part of the test. It was very quick & easy lifting where they showed me how to lift the items before I did it. Everyone here was wonderful and happy and I enjoyed myself at the urgent care... which never happens. We had 2 young kids that were sick so my wife brought them to our local urgent care rather than our local primary Dr because appts were so far out. Dr Ellis and his staff got our kids in right away. I would 100000% rather come here for treatment over any other urgent care. Dr. Ellis has seen all of my kids, my husband, and myself multiple times since he opened here. I can't say enough great things about him and his team. They are all very nice comforting and efficient as they can be. I would also say it's the smoothest running urgent care I've been to. I want to give a shout out to Dr. Mobley and the nurse (whose name I can't remember sorry!!) who took care of my 4yr old yesterday. They both spent a little time making small talk with my son to make him feel more comfortable and were so nice. The BEST resource in our area. We have been to this location three times. The first visit I thought we were just lucky, because I couldn't believe how great it was, but after our second and third visits, I have to rave about this place! I've never been here for longer than 30 minutes, not because they're not busy, but because they are so efficient, high energy & transparent throughout. There's no crazy amount of waiting or lack of communication. They take the time to explain things & take action immediately whether it's for something serious or mild. We've felt like a priority every time. All three times I have called before we visit to ensure they can help us. They're so amazing at consistently answering the phone & actually giving helpful information. The checkin process is simple, especially if you're a returning patient. My toddler was miserable today and crying a lot, I can't even imagine taking him to an emergency room waiting room. Last time we took him to Kaiser ER, we waited 3 hrs & were in a room for 2 hrs where they ended up just giving him Tylenol... like I had already been doing. We received better care today, quicker & our cost was 94% less than that recent emergency room visit. I hurt my ankle playing soccer last month & was so happy they take X-rays here! Avoid the ER for sports injuries!!! This place is awesome. The whole staff is amazing, Dr.Ellis is wonderful &, from what I've seen, puts so much effort into making sure his team and patients are happy, the office is clean & upset toddlers leave in better spirits. My hubby got the worst case of the flu in the middle of the night. We chose to go here instead of the ER because we knew the waiting time would be significantly less than that of the ER. We came here right when they opened and sent back to the exam room after filling out the forms. We waited about fifteen minutes in the room and Dr Ellis apologized upon entering. He said he wasn't aware that we were waiting? Anyway, he gave my hubs a shot for the pain and medicine for his vomiting. We were sent home with a prescription for the nausea medication, which we appreciated. He gave us a little extra in case anyone else comes down with influenza. I really like the convenience of having an urgent care facility so close to home. Plus the staff were very caring and professional.
