They had a bunch of fairy gardens set up outside and along the walking trail that were so fun to look at. Andreas was AMAZING!!!! He made this workshop so much fun, for kids and adults. We all had so much fun and there were so many extra surprises he offered. I definitely recommend doing this workshop and we will be doing it again! We took home so many great items for our fairy gardens. This was even great for a young boy, he had a blast and was so creative as well. We need more of this.

When we inquired about enrollment, the teacher specifically told us it was too early to enroll but that the time slot we wanted was available. We were instructed to wait until closer to June and were assured someone from the studio would contact us to finalize enrollment. Since no one ever reached out, I called the office on May 27th to get her enrolled. To my dismay, I was informed that the class was completely full. It was a big surprise, especially since we learned there had been a family on a waitlist for that same spot since April, a detail that was never communicated to us during our May visit.

First off - it's definitely harder to make them than it seems. lol If you have option paralysis or get overwhelmed easily, prepare yourself! Look at alllllll the colors in my photos available to use and maybe plan ahead. They provide templates of different floral, geometric, and banded designs that you can use, but you can go off-script if your noggin comes up with an idea! They give you a decent amount of time to create a design, glue said design in place, and then fill the rest of your lamp's empty space in with the tiny glass beads. There are a few final steps you can't complete while in "class" but that's due to the glue needing time to sit. You're not left in the dark however, as they show you a how-to video which is included in your take-home kit via a QR code. =) I noticed this place has other classes that seem like fun (terrarium and some sort of small dish painting?). I may need to return. Notes: - You interact with glue so you'll likely get messy. - There's a restroom to wash your hands, or if nature calls. - In the small bead fill-in time frame, everyone drops them. It's human. It became part of the experience. Aim for your tray!

We visited Kid Can Do expecting a fun, engaging indoor play space for young children, but it felt more like a restrictive, adult-supervised activity zone than a true play area. The biggest issue was the inconsistency and lack of freedom for the kids. Plenty of cupboards, covers, and storage areas were unlocked and easily accessible, so naturally the children explored them. As soon as they pulled out toys or art supplies, staff quickly took them away because they "weren't part of this week's theme." If you're going to leave things unlocked and within reach, kids are going to play with them, that's completely normal and developmentally appropriate. Instead, we spent most of our time picking up after our child and saying "no" or redirecting them. If that's the kind of experience you're looking for, this is the spot for you. If you want a place where children can actually play freely without constant intervention, look elsewhere. It also didn't feel developmentally suitable for the younger ages they advertise for. The setup created more frustration than fun, with limited open-ended play opportunities. On top of that, the cost felt excessive for what's offered. For the price, I expected more space, better variety, and far less policing of normal kid behavior. You could re-create what they offer for a fraction of what you are paying to go here for 90 minutes and have better peace of mind doing it in your own home. Save your time and money. Head to Play Pie or the New Children's Museum down in San Diego instead--both are much better options for actual play and exploration. Unfortunately when we arrived for the class, my granddaughter became sick from the car ride and was not able to stay for her lesson. Feri was kind enough to work us into her schedule for the following afternoon so that Lucy could still have her class. Feri guided her to paint a beautiful picture of a bunny in a field. Lucy was so excited with the final result! I would highly recommend Feri as an art teacher. She was very patient and encouraging with a budding young artist and is obviously a very talented painter herself.

I booked a party for my daughter and decided to go with the Ultimate Package (the highest package). There were 2 employees helping out with our party. The first 20 minutes after we arrived, they just sat at a table and had their own personal conversations. No welcome announcement to the group, no direction or rough layout of the party. I took the lead, set up the food, had the girls sing Happy Birthday, took pictures, served the girls, etc. I didn't even get a single photo of me and my daughter during this party. Finally after asking when the art was going to start, they said we could start with face painting and nail art. The face painting was not your typical face painting... see my photos below. Then they moved onto jewelry making, with clay. During this project, Employee A was occupied texting on her phone. She then proceeded to have personal conversations with Employee B in front of the girls (while all sitting at the same table). The table was so quiet for a large amount of time. There was no engagement with the girls, or even seeing if they needed help. It was so quiet, that I joined the table and started commenting on each of the girl's clay art, and conversing with them. Employee B did help the girls get more clay for their projects and said some words here and there. Finally Employee A put her phone down and paid attention to the girls for the next project. This project went better as there was more direction and actually an art lesson. In the middle of the drawing lesson, a couple families did a walk-in. I forgot to mention there were 2 other employees sitting around just drawing (not involved with our party). Instead of these 2 employees assisting with the walk-ins, Employee A ended up taking the kids that walked in and no longer assisted with our party. At one point, both Employee A & B were helping with the walk-ins, leaving the girls unattended. I found it odd that the other 2 girls who were available didn't assist with the walk-ins. At the end of the party, they passed out our "deluxe" party favors. It was junk. Literally junk. Like a single crayon and some random plastic pieces. I was embarrassed to have sent the girls home with these party favors. Again, see my photos below. Also, our package included giftcards for the girls, which I had to ask for because we didn't receive them. Employee B did not know about it and had to text someone to confirm that we get it. They did not seem familiar with what is included in our birthday party. The Ultimate Package is advertised as a 3 hour party with a 120 minute art lesson on canvas, but I kept getting inconsistent replies via email and in person *AT* the party- telling me I only get 2-2.5 hrs. Thankfully the girls didn't notice these things and still had fun because they were just excited to be together - which is why I gave this 2 stars instead of 1. I also wanted to mention that the other 2 kids who did a walk-in... the employee was doing the drawings for them. They had an iPad in front of them and she was drawing for them. Hardly an art lesson. Something to think about if you want to just drop your child off. The concept here is great, but they need employees who can engage with children more and not be on their phones. One employee kept saying to the other "What are you on? You must be on something!" in front of the girls. Please keep these comments and conversations away from young kids. ***Update*** Young Art did reach out and offered a class for my kids to re-do this experience. I asked my daughter, but unfortunately she was not interested :( I appreciate the call and offer.

I liked that it was not crowded and that we were able to get right in and have the teachers undivided attention (well divided between my two kids haha). The staff are so friendly and helpful, which definitely added to the great experience. My kids picked out some pictures off of the wall that they wanted to recreate with their teacher. My kids are young and the teacher did a great job with helping them do their drawing and then painting it. My youngest one needed more help, but the teacher did more guiding and let my kids truly make their own picture which both turned out great! They have other types of art you can do besides drawing and painting. They also sell some cool art supplies and accessories. We just did a drop in fee, but they sell packages if you want your child to come in more frequently. They also do parties as well. Check them out!
